Floral Art Quick Start - All-in-One Watercolor Flower Course

Our first chapter is all about flower and leaf placement.

You will find that this concept will become the foundation of all of your floral compositions as you continue on your watercolor journey.

It's important to plan where to add flowers and leaves to give your flower compositions a good flow. You can take inspiration from your own pictures or others you find online.

So, let's dive into Chapter 1's video so I can teach you while showing you how I think about flower and leaves as I assess a new sheet of paper.

Adding layers to your flower compositions is important to give them movement and a more dynamic look.

In this lesson, I explain how you can add layers to your watercolor flower compositions by using two techniques: wet-in-wet and wet-in-dry techniques.

It is up to you to decide how many layers you would like to build onto flowers and leaves, but with these tips you'll understand the potential that this process can bring to your watercolor compositions.

In this lesson, I share my approach when I have to choose colors for a warm and a cold color palette. I also share how I mix colors in order to obtain flower compositions that look beautiful and cohesive all together.

Chapter 4 is all about putting all of our previous lessons to the test with developing full compositions from scratch.

This chapter contains two lessons because I feel there is so much I want to share with you to bring the best results to your flower compositions!

In the first lesson we are going to paint a flower bouquet with warm colors. I am going to dive into composition tips, but I will also highlight topics that we have discussed on the previous lessons.

Chapter 5 is all about having fun while painting, where we can apply all of the learnings from the previous lessons.

In this chapter, we are going to paint 3 complete watercolor flower compositions, all with different colors, flows, and details.

The first painting is a flower bouquet with warm, vibrant colors.
