FL Studio Production Course: Trap Music

In the controls lecture, we will go over the basic controls within FL Studio, as well as discuss the Mixer.

A brief overview of the playlist function within FL Studio, students will have an understanding of its relationship toward other production elements within FL Studio.

In this lecture, we will learn how to add music notes to the step sequencer which is located within the Channel Rack.

Within our music theory module, we will learn to count and determine new measures of time using the Channel Rack.

We will discuss music notation, specifically, note lengths within FL Studio. Included are the FLP used in this lecture.

Students will have a clear understanding of the differences between major and minor key signatures.

Students watching this lecture will understand common musical structures in relation to trap music, namely the stacked chord and the varied arpeggio sequence. An FLP detailing the lesson is included in the module.

After completing this lecture, students will be able to create a trap melody without the aid of samples. This module contains an  FLP for future references.

This lecture will teach students about common time and double time in relation to trap music. Students will be able to count, divide, and apply rhythm techniques to FL Studio. Included in this module is the FLP for the lecture.

Students will be learning various drum patterns found within Trap Music, including 808, Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat, Clap, combinations. As a result, the students will have a greater understanding of trap percussion. Included in this lecture is a drum flp.

Students will learn via step-by-step on how to create a trap beat. Included is an FLP of the finished product that can be used as a reference point.

Students will learn how to apply EQ Effects using the FL Parametric EQ2 Tool on their newly created project.

Students will learn how to use the Maximus plugin for FL Studio.

Students will be able to create a Low Pass Filter to create an "Underwater" effect within FL Studio.

Students of this course will have the ability to input music data directly from their MIDI controllers into the FL Studio environment.

This lecture details the workflow of FL Studio productions and students will be better able to maximize their FL Studio sessions.
