Description
Ojas Yoga's Online Teacher Training is dedicated to holistic healing and wellness practice. Our classes are created to empower people. Courses offered teach students to increase vitality and strength. Our approach to wellness is to treat the cause of disease as well as through preventative care. Our therapeutic training classes are suitable for all students including yoga teachers, general yoga practitioners, alternative healers, western medicine practitioners, and the general public.
Through the Ojas Training program we enable our teachers to understand a multi-lineage curriculum focused on injury prevention, spiritual evolution and yoga in a true and pure form. We encourage students to teach and practice at a physical level beneficial to her or his individual health. We aim to create unique teachers who honor themselves.

Instructor
Varsha Bakshani has studied at numerous schools for the past 25 years including Kaivalyadhama Institute, Yoga Institute Santa Cruz, Ashtanga Yoga New York, Sharmila's Yoga Zone, Integral Yoga, AYNY, Bikram Yoga and Iyengar Yoga. She has formed a unique blend of the following lineages of yoga: ashtanga and hatha. Her focus is to create an experience of healing and deep relaxation. Varsha received her first yoga certification through Yogacharya Srinivas who is a yoga therapist specializing in medical use of yoga in Hyderabad. She also obtained a Yoga Anatomy certification through Zenyasa under Jason Brown. She completed her 300 hour certification in Restorative and Adaptive yoga under the guidance of Judith Spagnola (Hamsa) of Integral Yoga and the Satchidananda lineage. In 2015, Varsha completed a Yoga as Medicine Training with Timothy McCall. She also completed a Tibetan psychotherapy mindfulness course based on Guided Imagery and meditation. In 2016, she continued to study Ayurveda under the guidance of Dr. Vasant Lad. She practices yoga as her enlightenment path as well as yoga asanas as a dynamic sequence of body, mind and energy transformation. Varsha has taught at Ojas yoga, Whole Foods, Fitness Factory, World Gym, Cliffside Park Library, Sadhu Vaswani Center, Cliffside Park High School and various other gyms and numerous private settings. She was featured in the Bergen Record for Ojas as one of the top 7 North Jersey Yoga Schools. She also was interviewed on News 1 NY/NJ for her ability to offer Therapeutic Yoga for helping Medical Conditions. In addition to public classes, she also regularly conducts yoga teacher trainings on both the 200 and 500 hour levels.
