Description
The aim of this course is to give you a strong foundation in statistics in a relatively short time. This course is useful for anyone who wants to apply statistics in business, at work or move to more advanced levels of statistics. The course starts by explaining how to correctly summarize data with tables and graphs. It also teaches you how to describe the distribution of data by calculating descriptive measures. Through the course you gain an intuitive understanding for probability and distributions. The course covers confidence intervals and hypothesis testing and introduce you to exploring the relation between two variables using scatter plots and correlation coefficients.
Who this course is for:
- Any person who wants to have a strong foundation in the basics of statistics
- University or college students looking for a concise overview of the basics of statistics
- People who use statistics in their work and need a quick but thorough introduction to statistics
- Any person who did a course in statistics in the past and would like to refresh their knowledge of statistics

Instructor
I have been teaching statistics at both undergraduate and postgraduate level for over twenty years. Throughout my career I have done statistical consultation for researchers and postgraduate students.
I have invested a lot of time in thoroughly understanding statistical concepts so that I can explain it in the simplest possible way to my students. I help my students to develop an overall picture of how the different topics in statistics fit together. This helps them to gain true insight into the subject.
