Students will be able to understand the importance of fire safety. It is very important to learn why we need to study and understand fire safety and this is because there are various incidents and accidents that are happening worldwide which are related to fire safety, the lack of fire safety arrangements.
Students will be able to understand how fire is produced, types of fuel. The chemistry of fire will be taught in this lecture, this mandatory to learn because in order to fight fire first you have to understand what is causing fire and when you will understand its causes it will be easy to understand the extinguishing techniques for that.
Students will be able to understand the types of fire based on the types of fuels and their learning methods. Fire is distributed into various classification and types and this classification of fire is based on the type of fuel which is been used to cause a fire, for example, the fire caused by paper will be a separate type and fire caused by liquid fuel like petroleum or gasoline is another type, the student needs to understand about this in order to fight the fire properly.
Students will be able to understand the methods of putting out a fire and types of fire extinguishers. When we have understood the classification of fire, then you will study how each classification of fire is extinguished and what procedure is used for that, now every different type of fire is been extinguish through a different mechanism and this is mandatory to understand because sometimes, putting water to fire may be good but putting water to some other type of fire will be risky, want to know more about it, go through this lecture.
In this lecture, the students will learn the basic things to inspect in a fire extinguisher to keep it in working condition and compliant! We will study through videos demonstration how to inspect a fire extinguisher, imagine you are fighting a fire but the fire ext is not working, this will be another hazard for you.
Students will be able to understand more information about the subject. The definitions of the basic concepts through which a fire is spread like radiation, convection, conduction, and direct burn, also we will study concepts of flashover and backdraft and how these types of fire pose a danger for firefighters, fire point, flash point, and autoignition temperature.
Students will be able to understand the frequently asked questions about fire safety. Various questions are there which arise in the mind of students when they are learning fire safety. In this lecture I have tried to compile all those questions and answered that. However you are still free to ask any type of questions you think is necessary to understand the subject.
Conclusion

This lecture covers the standard five steps of Fire Risk Assessment, these five steps are the identification of fire hazards, identification of people at risk, evaluate and act, record plan and train, and finally review. At the end of this lecture a downloadable resource is also available in which all the 5 steps are mentioned in an infographics poster.
