Course Objectives:
Understand Fire & Allied Perils Insurance – Property All Risk Insurance cover, underwriting information, associated risks, surveyors, the difference between Fire and PAR cover, property definition, insurance definition, peril and hazard with examples on how they influence the premium charged, the usage of proposal form as a way of collecting underwriting information and the structures of properties and the relation between the structures of the property, occupancy, type of stock, age of the property, the housekeeping, loss history and the premium charged.
Understand the extensions available to the cover and the deductible applied to the cover, type of deductibles applied to the cover (Time deductible, fixed amount, and percentage with a minimum amount) and type of the extensions applied to the cover (alternative accommodation, loss of rent, and liabilities connected to the cover explained).
