Description

Hey guys! It's time for an advanced level series that I've designed specifically for guitarists that are ready to embrace writing and creating on a more experimental slate.

There are chord structures, lead fills and percussive fingerstyle methods that will be studied. In my previous material on fingerstyle guitar techniques and masterclasses for etudes a lot will be infused into the progressions in this course.

When we translate these ideas over to the electric guitar we begin to explore two very popular avenues

  1. Mathrock / Midwest Emo (emphasis on alternate tunings, harmonics and tapping)

  2. Neo Soul / Funk & Gospel (focuses on harmonic structure and voice leading)

Ultimately we combine these and see a product that's common in Prog Guitar. You may have also discovered the amount of trending guitarists that have exploded on Instagram under this label!

The material in this series will be organized chronologically but also with consideration of difficulty as I've prepared it for my previous students. Learning to play the songs on both acoustic and electric will help your evolution tremendously. I am personally bias towards the electric as I believe it holds more possibilities!

So without further ado I present my first installment in my Modernized Guitar Progressions & Supplements series!

Let's Start writing and arranging riffs like a pro!

Who this course is for:

  • Guitarists desiring to adopt Advanced level Song writing and riff creation for progressions
