    Self-Love and Self-Acceptance Meditation

Welcome to our self-love and self-acceptance, meditation and affirmations. I'm Amanda Sophia, and I'm so grateful to be here with you.

I'm going to invite you to either sit up, or lay down. If you choose to sit up, I'm going to invite you to align your head over your heart, and your heart over your pelvis. If you're laying down, tuck your chin, so your neck is elongated.

Gently close your eyes, and bring your awareness to your heart's center. Trust now that you're at the perfect place at the perfect time. Inviting you to come as you are; however you are feeling at this moment. Our subconscious mind is always listening to us. And our thoughts transform our body, our actions.

How we see and hear life. Becoming connected with your breath, becoming aware of every inhale. As you do, then bring your awareness to your exhale. And relaxing any part of your body that needs this. Stay connected with your breath. It allows energy to flow with grace and beauty.

As we open a sacred space, our intention here is to rewrite all beliefs and thoughts so you can reclaim and remember that you are worthy of love. That you are love itself. Being fully present here and now in body, mind, and spirit, being connected with your inhale and exhale. Send love to all areas of your body. Allow the inhale and exhale to be symbolic, to know, to live a healthy life how it feels to give and receive. Give and receive.

We ask now that you know on every cell and every dimension that you are loved. We ask anything that is not that be transmuted and transformed and released. So that you know your unconditional love.

The words that we use internally shape our outward reality. Together now, we are going to send loving vibrations to our body, mind, and soul. We are reactivating, remembering, and reawakening. That knowing that you are enough the second you were born, you knew it and things happened in your life that took you away from that deep inner knowing that you are unconditional love.

Now, it is divine timing for you to step back into fully remembering that. I invite you now to float your left hand to your heart, and your right hand to your lower belly. I love my body. I feel confident about my body.

Every cell in my body is healthy. I am beautiful inside and out. I am grateful for the miracle of my body. My heart beats without me asking. I see the beauty all around me. I see the beauty within me. Thank you, body for the ability to smell flowers. Food, cooking. Familiar smells that bring joy to me.

I am lovable. I am enough. I am kind. I am worthy. I am caring. I have beauty in my heart and soul. I love my body. I love my hair. I love my smile. I love how I feel when I smile. I love when I know I brighten someone's day with my smile. I love my arms, I love all that I can do with my arms and my hands: writing, painting, gardening, sewing. I love that I can hug and embrace with my arms. I love that it gives me the ability, my arms, and my hands, to pet an animal, to embrace a beloved. I love my skin.

I love my body, it is a miracle to digest my food. My blood flows through my body. I love my body, that I can dance. My voice that I can sing, that I can speak. I appreciate my body. I believe in myself. I appreciate myself. I'm giving wonderful, powerful, never-ending appreciation to myself and my beautiful body. I am lovable.

I call in the wonder of me. I'm grateful for my body. I know that gratitude is the highest frequency. I know where I put my attention is where the energy goes, I choose it to be one of self-love. Self-appreciation and gratitude. My beauty radiates from my heart and spirit. My body is beautiful.

I love all that my body does for me. I see the divine light in myself. I am clear. I am empowered. I make good choices. And I know the more I love myself, the more lovable I become.

I love who I am. I am in love with myself. I love the life I am living. I love the body I am in. I am beautiful. I am beautiful, I am sensual. I am sexy. I am resilient. I am strong. I always treat myself with respect. I'm kind to myself. I am gentle with myself. When I look in the mirror, I see my beauty. I'm loving myself.

I'm falling more and more in love with myself. I love who I am. I always treat myself with respect. I encourage myself every day. My face is beautiful. I feel more and more in love with myself every day everything is working out exactly as it's meant to. I am healthy in body, mind, and spirit.

Beloveds, I invite you to reach your hands up to the sky, fingers spread wide, and feel that energy of unconditional love. That energy of awe and wonder flowing down through your fingertips. Through every cell of your being.

If a little gentle movement feels good, by gently swaying from side to side, honour that. From the deepest part of your soul, from every cell in your being, your mind. You know how magnificent and amazing you are.

Bring both hands back to your heart center. I love and accept myself exactly as I am. I love and accept myself exactly as I am. I love and accept myself exactly as I am.

    Thank you.

  • Transform your life and home with Feng Shui Transcribe26:30

Energy. It's scientifically proven that everything is made up of energy, our physical body, our emotions, our thoughts, and our home. Let's talk about ways that we can transform our life and step into sovereignty through our daily practices and our environments.

We often talk in Feng Shui about the front door being one of the most important parts of the home because that's where the Chi comes in. Chi is another word for prana and life force in the Chi flow. Ideally, we want that energy to come in and around our gardens and homes and bring in abundance, prosperity, and beautiful opportunities. Our home is always a reflection of what's going on in our lives. It's like an external expression of how we're feeling internally. For example, we would look at Feng Shui as the importance of a fence around your property or having a guest over.

Those guests can be welcoming with a nice welcome sign, that's fine, but there should also be very clear and healthy boundaries because that is your space; just like our lives, it's very important to have healthy and clear boundaries. Say "no" when you need to, "no" is very important, but also say "yes" to opportunities you want to bring into your life. We want our home to be welcoming. So we invite things like a welcome mat at the door, so we are welcome ourselves.

If you're familiar with Dr. Emoto's theory, you know we're made up of 70% water. We have these welcome signs, positive affirmations, and images throughout our homes, and it's welcoming us in. It creates a higher vibration environment for us. It's the same thing with our hearts. It's like allowing our higher self to have that connection with the land, Mother Earth, and that connection with our higher self. So it's like the front door to our spiritual connection.

We must have a daily practice where we meditate and tune in.

Healthy boundaries create a healthy body, mind, and spirit. It's really beautiful to have a solid morning practice. Now I get it with myself. Being a single mom and running a small business can be forgotten, but our spiritual practice is really important. So when you wake up in the morning, and you've got plenty of things to do first, and then you've got a chance to do this first thing in the morning.

When you wake up, rather than reaching out for your phone or computer to connect with the external world, those voices outside of you take time to go inwards, even if it's just a five-minute meditation practice or even a five to ten-minute yoga practice. What is it for you?

Perhaps it's waking up and journaling. It's the same thing with our homes. We always want to be doing things that raise the vibration.

Part of our morning practice is just tuning into how we feel, asking those questions, and inviting all aspects of ourselves because we know what we resist persists. So it's honoring all aspects, and it's the same thing when it comes to our home, checking in with the energy.

  • What is Feng Shui?11:41

    What is Feng Shui?

What is Feng Shui? When I think about what Feng Shui is, it's like when I enter into a home, I am just receiving this embrace, this hug, no matter what's going on in the world out there, because we don't have control of how the store or the restaurant or the college is set up.

We do have control and the consciousness to create this sacred, beautiful, nurturing space for ourselves. That's what Feng Shui does, it consciously opens our eyes. What does Feng Shui mean? Well, it means wind and water. It always comes back to balance. We've got our Feng Shui, our wind, and our water.

Water, we can't survive without it. We need to drink it in order to survive and sustain. It cleanses us. It purifies us. It helps the plants grow, the flowers grow. That's when water is in balance. When water is out of balance, a tsunami can pull down an entire city, it can destroy an entire city.

Just like when we look at the wind. Wind can create electricity, it can cool us off on a warm day. Again, when the wind is out of balance and it's way too Yang, it can blow down an entire city. Feng Shui is always reminding us to come back into balance, to live in harmony.

If you think about hundreds, thousands of years ago, we lived on the land, with the land, in caves. Completely connected to the plant kingdom. We didn't have clocks and calculators, and watches. We looked up to the stars and the moon with the equinoxes and solstices. We knew when to plant our crops. We knew when it was time to go inwards. We knew when it was time for things to blossom. We were so connected and aligned with the rhythms of nature.

Nowadays, people go from their home to their car to their office, back into their car, back home. What happened is people have lost that deep, innate connection with the earth. Feng Shui is always reminding us to come back and reconnect with the earth and live in harmony.

If we had an ailment back then, we would say I've got a kidney infection, I need to pick the nettles and make tea. If I get stung by the nettle in the meantime, I'm going to get the doc leaf and rub it because it takes away the sting. It was like we were so connected to the land that it spoke to us. It communed with us.

As you'll hear about the history of how Feng Shui started in another video. I like to think of our homes as the microcosm of the macrocosm. We can have the whole universe inside our home. We can create that law of attraction. We put all these different areas, our love area, health area, career, or wealth, and we get to consciously and symbolically create a power corner of intentional energies.

Good Feng Shui is not living in a home of how we think we should have it set up or how we used to be. We want to live in a home that reflects who we are now and what we want to grow and ascend and expand into. Really, looking around your home and only having what you need, use, and love in your space. That is what good Feng Shui is, only having what you love.

I'm just going to invite you to do this right now. Close your eyes, take a deep inhale and exhale. Just visualize yourself where you can actually do this exercise. Stepping inside your home and notice, do your spirits rise, or do they fall? Now, if they rise, I am so happy for you because that is the intention of Feng Shui. If they fall, you're in the perfect place to learn all the wonderful tools and the ways to create this nurturing, inspiring, beautiful space that you deserve.

We spend 80 percent of our time inside. 80 percent, that is so much. Those of us that work from home, it just tells us how vitally important our Feng Shui is to be set up correctly because it's scientifically proven now that everything is made up of energy. Energy can either be blocking you or it can be supporting you. That's what Feng Shui is all about, creating positive energy flow.

Some people think, what is Feng Shui? Moving around a sofa? Yeah, we do. We set up our furniture so it supports energy flow and supports us based on when we're born and based on when our home is born. We look at all these mathematical equations in classical Feng Shui, which you are going to be learning all about. We look at the energy blueprint of the home. It's almost like the astrology of the home.

I like to think of Feng Shui as yoga for the home. It's like acupuncture for the home. Think about it, our body, our temple, our body houses our spirit, our soul, but our home houses our temple, our body, and our spirits. The home plays a major, major role. This is why it is so vital that we walk into our spaces and they feel amazing that no matter what's happening out there in the world, we walk in and we feel connected to our bodies, to our emotions. If we feel like we want to cry, we feel safe to do so. Feeling safe in our home is really vital.

What is Feng Shui? It's doing everything in our home that supports us to thrive in life, health, wealth, love, all areas of our life. When we look at health, we look at the EMF, the electric magnetic fields. We look at what kind of chemicals you are using in your home. What kind of colors? What is the artwork? Our homes are very much so an outer reflection about how we feel on the inside. I see this with thousands and thousands of homes that I've been in.

When I walk through somebody's space, first of all, we can feel the energy. Everything is made up of energy. When we walk through somebody's space and all the light bulbs are burned out, it's usually an expression that they're burnt out in their lives.

If all the door handles are loose, it means their life is a little out of control. If there are masks all over the place, it means that they're hiding behind something. If the plumbing is always getting blocked up, it's blocked emotions, not feeling what they're meant to be feeling.

If the taps are dripping, it's usually a loss of finances. If there's clutter in certain areas, the southwest is to do with love, so if I go into somebody's space and its problems with the heart or problems with relationships usually you will find tons of clutter in the southwest area or in the bedroom. Same thing with wealth in the southeast, if they're having money issues, challenges, you'll usually find that it's blocked in the southeast.

Our environment is an outward reflection of what's going on inside. What we want in Feng Shui, our intention is to create this environment that oozes and emanates peace and harmony and love and flow and grace and ease and consciousness and gratitude. Feng Shui is really about inviting on an inner level people to step into that and on an outer level.

Since Feng Shui is about working on our inner Feng Shui, our own self-love, our own self worth, peace. We create peace within ourselves, then we can create it in our home. We have it for us, our partners, our family. Then, it goes out around the town that we live in, out around the city, out around the country, out around the world. It creates that ripple effect. Really, what are we in charge of? Our own inner Feng Shui. That's really what we have control of.

That's what we get to consciously choose, to work on ourselves, to heal, and to grow and ascend and expand. Then just lead by example, not telling or judging or forcing our ideas. Just by being. When somebody invites you to their home to help them with Feng Shui, it's usually because they're ready for change.

Knowing that our home is an outward expression. A lot of times, people's homes represent their past, their old beliefs, their old pain. What we really want to support is that the home represents us, our present selves, and what we aspire to, how we want to grow, what we want to bring more of into our lives.

How can we support that? If we want to create more love in our lives, is our home emanating love? Self-care or self-worth of us, our partners, our families, all of us that are in the home?

When you go to the bathroom, is there Epsom salts, and lavender around your bath or lotion that you love to put on your skin when you come out of the shower? Has your bedroom got a comfy bed and pillows and maybe lavender and artwork that inspires you and that represents love and relaxation and peace, and rest. When you walk around your home, is it reflecting those energies that you want to be feeling? That's what good Feng Shui is all about.

I could go on and on and will, for hours and hours about what is Feng Shui because when we have good Feng Shui in our houses, in our lives, it doesn't mean everything's going to be perfect. I think that's really important to know because we'll talk more about it but we come in with our human chi, our earth chi, and our destiny chi, heavenly chi. There are some things that we have a soul agreement to and have had these experiences. I'll speak more about this.

No matter what happens, we are going to have these experiences. However, think about it, if something happens in our lives that we perceive as good or bad, if we're in a space where we feel nurtured and we feel supported, it just makes those experiences just a bit more graceful, and comes with a bit more ease.

That is a little bit about what Feng Shui is. I'm looking forward to sharing so much more.

  • The Five Elements31:59

    The Five Elements

The Five Elements of Feng Shui. Well, why are we talking about Feng Shui? We're talking about wind and water. We're talking about harmonizing with the earth. We've got Five Elements; water, wood, fire, earth, and metal. We have always known these elements; we're always connecting with these elements. One thing I'm going to invite you to do before we start exploring the elements and their cycles together, is I really invite you not to think about the elements of something separate to do with numbers and just energies in Feng Shui. The elements are all around us in nature and what we're doing is we're using the natural elements of nature to harmonize our spaces. For example, when you learn that wood is a number three or number four, and there's good wood and not-so-good wood; I don't want you to create wood as something separate or as just a number.

When you're out in nature, which I invite you to do every single day. Nature has this ability to heal us, ground us, center us, cleanse our energy, to raise our vibration. I invite you to get out in nature every day. Talking about wood and trees, I love to hug trees, it's so profoundly powerful to give them gratitude and love; and also, at the same time, they just pull out all those EMFs, Electric Magnetic Fields, from doing things like sitting in a car, sitting on a computer, being around so much electricity, televisions and fridges, and everything. When we get out in nature, it just cleanses and resets our entire system. When you learn about wood, look at them out in nature will, look at trees, look at the roots of the trees going into the earth and see that as the earth feeding the trees.

As you look up and see the sun in the sky, that's the fire element and that is feeding the earth. Look at how all the elements work together. Watch when it rains, what is it doing? That water from the rain is watering the trees and the plants. See that with the elements and how they all work together in beautiful harmony and nature and don't see it as something separate. While you're in your studies of Feng Shui, I invite you to get out in nature and hug a tree. If you've got a beach nearby, walk barefoot on the sand. Feel the earth, connect with the earth, and commune with the earth. Because it's the Earth that is speaking to us as we have the honor of living on it and bringing it into our spaces.

We've got our Five Elements; water, wood, fire, earth, and metal. The first element we're going to look at is the element of water. What is water? Well, we look at Feng Shui and we've talked about this, how if we have; we can't survive without water. We came from the water, we came from the womb of water. Water is flowing through us. We are 70% made up of water. The Earth's body is 70%. Isn't that amazing that our bodies and the earth have the same percentage of water in them? We can't survive without drinking it, we cleanse with it.

Water is a resource that we cannot survive without. We've talked about water when it's out of balance when it's out of that Yin and Yang. When it's too Yang, and how it can as a tsunami, destroy an entire village and then we talk about how water feeds, look at the rain, it feeds our plants. It makes our vegetables, and our fruit grow.

Water brings abundance. Water is very much so associated with abundance in our homes. It's just so much so that if you see that you've got a leaking faucet in your home, it usually means that there are abundance issues, there's loss, and if there are leaks in the ceiling, that's a serious loss of money. Water has messages of abundance and prosperity and what does it do? If you always look at water, it runs downwards.

If you look at a waterfall, if you're pouring water out of a jug or pitcher into a glass, it's always going to flow down. When we bring water into our space, it brings the energy down. So think about that, that's what it does in our space. It brings it down. Now, the water is related to certain parts of our body, our kidneys, because that's how we flush out our system, the urinary bladder. If we went into somebody's house and it was completely blue, just way too much water and they were right on the ocean, that would be an excess of water. You may find that it relates that they're having kidney problems or urinary infections or something.

We would see what we could do to balance that excess of water in their home and in their lives. As you're going to learn about how Earth blocks it or what absorbs it. We might bring more trees in, we might create some kind of a separation between the water in front of the house, and then the direction for the water is north, which we're going to look at more when we look at the Trigrams.

What does water do? It's creative, it's supporting metal. If you come out to your metal car and there's condensation, drops of water, the metal feeds the water, and then, like we've talked about with the dam, first destroys it and blocks it. Let's talk about how we can bring water inside our home.

One way to bring in water is through colors. The colors for water are all blues and black. Just think about it, when you look at the ocean, what color do you see? It can be a lighter blue or a more vibrant blue. However, when we go to really, really pastel, like super baby soft pink or soft blue, that is going to be a metal color. Anything in the very pastel colors are then metal. The water colors are blues and blacks. Now we have our shape for water. The shape of water is like a wave shape. If somebody needed more water in their space, we could add it through the color. We can add it in, as you can see, through various furniture shapes. But none of those are all that ideal or practical.

The other way and most powerful way to bring in the water is using a water fountain. Out of the five elements of Feng Shui, fire is the only element, which we haven't discussed yet, that the color is as powerful as bringing in the element. When it comes to water if you really want to bring the remedy inside the home to enhance whatever it is that we're doing; a good wood or enhancing a good wood, which you're going to learn all about; we want to actually bring in a fountain and ideally we want the fountain to be made out of metal because metal is the element that feeds the water.

If it's made out of ceramic, earth blocks water. If it was a very open fountain, it would be okay but ideally, if you want the most supportive element, we want the fountain to be made out of metal. We like for it to be flowing 24/7 and in order for it to be a water remedy inside the home, there needs to be at least one quart of water or we could say like a liter and a half of water, depending on what system you work.

The other option is you can do a fishbowl because the fish are constantly moving the water. The main thing to keep in mind is we want the water to be able to breathe. If it's completely enclosed in a container, then it is not a flowing water remedy. We like it to be made out of metal. We like it to be moving, but we like the element to be able to breathe. We don't want to be completely enclosed.

Using a fountain in the bedroom sometimes can affect people's sleep. You could always put them on a timer so they come on at 7 a.m. and they go off at like 8 p.m. whatever the hours that you sleep, which would be most ideal for you. Metal is the first ideal material for the fountain to be made of, glass is good and resin is okay as well which is a type of plastic, but the earth ceramic fountains are the least desirable. We like it to be running 24/7 and they're the main materials we want.

The other option is you can add artwork to do with water. So a picture of an ocean, of a waterfall, of water droplets. You can bring in the color and you can bring in the artwork.

Through the color and through the artwork, you're really only remedying space by about 50%. If you 100% want to bring the remedies in, we ideally want it to be a flowing open water fountain with a minimum of a quart, or a liter and half of water. Just a couple of notes on the water element. In the bathroom, we really have enough water between the toilet, the sink, the shower, and the bath that we do want to bring in the color blue because what that does, back to Yin and Yang, is it tends to throw things out of balance and it gives us an excess of water and that can affect finances.

Ideal colors for bathrooms are greens or earth colors because that softens and weakens the amount of water in there. As you can see with this fountain here, a couple of things that are not ideal about it is that there is fire on the fountain and you're going to be learning about how that's a destructive cycle between water and fire and then there's a lot of rocks in this fountain. That's Earth that tends to block the water from flowing.

Next of all, we have the wood element and what does the plant or the tree represent? It represents new life, and growth. Think of always the plants and the trees growing up, reaching for the light, expanding. The trees are amazing. They don't ask anybody; Is it okay if I grow this way? They don't ask permission, they just follow, they root themselves and then they reach up to the light. I think we've got so much to learn from nature, from these beautiful elements that are teaching us. They're not rushing around to get everything done, yet it always seems to get its blossoms. It always seems to get its fruit.

If you think about a tree, it's willing to move with the flow and they stand strong and where they are. But if a wind comes, they're willing to blow with the wind, accepting change, and again, that brings us back to the Yin and Yang, that constant change. The trees that aren't willing to blow with the wind to move with change, often break a branch or get blown over and we know that in life, the more that we're willing to go with the flow, the better.

The tree represents growth and expansion and creativity. Think about it, the water is that wavy energy and it brings the energy down. But what does a tree do? The tree raises the energy all the way up. This is the energy that the plants bring into the space they're raising the Chi up, water brings it down. The parts of the body that the wood is related with is the liver and the gallbladder. The direction of wood is east and it's also in the southeast. Its predominant location is east, but it's also in the southeast.

The creative cycle is when you water a tree, it rains, it's going to grow and it's going to feed it and then the destructive is metal. When they come along with the ax and cut down the tree. I don't like to cut down trees, we need our trees and because what do they do? They give us oxygen, they take away the carbon dioxide. So bringing live plants into our environment is exactly what we want to raise the Chi, give us oxygen, take away the carbon dioxide, and besides the fact of how beautiful they look in our spaces.

Sometimes clients might say, well, I travel a lot, it's hard for me to keep plants, or it's very hard for me to keep them alive. We don't really like plastic or silk plants, so you could bring the color green in and this is a way to bring in the wood element through the color green. All the shades of green are wood, except for, as we mentioned, the very, very pastel colors, which are more the metal element. How do we bring the wood element inside through shape, through rectangular shaped furniture, like bookshelves, tall bookshelves, and things like that? Now, when we want to bring wood into the space, wood floors, kitchen cabinets made out of wood, and furniture made out of wood; we all have a lot of wood elements in our home.

However, that is not live wood; that does not bring in that live Chi, that fresh plants would. Fresh plants are constantly growing and they've got a life force. That's what we're doing, we're bringing the life force. When the water is flowing in a fountain it's bringing in a life force into our space, just like a stream would flow. When we bring plants in that are alive and growing and healthy, they're bringing that Chi, they are bringing that positive Chi into our spaces. When we look at wood flooring, that's all dead elements. We don't, in Feng Shui, really look at it as an element. I mean a house that is everything wood might have an excess of wood, but it won't have an excess of the positive Chi that comes from the wood element.

You can bring in the artwork of flowers, of forestry, and all of this, and then you can see with this with the water droplet, which is showing the creative cycle of how water feeds the wood. You can also bring in the wood element that way. Now when we bring plants inside, it's really not suggested to bring in any cacti, because in Feng Shui we want to keep away from anything that's sharp or prickly that would like to hurt your finger. So you want to stay away from any of the plants that are prickly and sharp and then we also want to stay away from dried flowers, potpourri, any of the dried flowers, because what that is, again, that's like a dead energy. We want to bring in live Chi lifeforce and if you're going to bring roses inside, it's ideal to actually remove the thorns off them beforehand.

Fire element comes next. We've done water, we've done wood and next, we're going to talk about fire. We've got our fire element and what does fire do? Think about a flame. It's always going in all directions. The water gently comes down, the wood brings the energy up, and then the fire does this. That's why when we go into space and it's all red, it makes it start to feel like our heart was fluttering and actually increases our heart rate when there's a lot of fire in the environment.

A little bit of fire is great to bring action and to bring passion and fire has the ability to transmute energy - to burn away anything that's no longer serving us. The fire used in the right way in balance like the Yin and Yang, can be really, really positive. It all comes back to balancing all of the energies, all the elements, always staying in balance in our lives or what we do is come back into balance.

The fire element spreads in all directions. The direction to do with fire is the element of south and then the body parts are the eyes and the heart. A good way to remember that is to think about fire, red, Valentine's Day, and love at first sight. Love at the heart at first sight. It's a good way to remember south is fire and is to do with the eyes and the heart. It's really good to come up with specific ways that are going to help you learn this because some of the stuff is just foundational that really has to get learned.

How do we feed the fire? We throw the logs in the fire, that's the creative cycle and then the destructive cycle, well, the firefighters come in. The colors for fire are berry colors, true reds, and vibrant pinks. Any of the really, really fire colors and burnt orange is going to be a fire color, purples.

If it's a really, really deep, dark purple, that might be more of a water element like a brick red would bring it in. Magenta, any of those hot pinks bring in the fire element. If this is in your home or a client's home, if you're bringing in those fire remedies, some people might be like, I don't like red or I don't like pink, so you can go for burnt oranges. And then when we got our very pastel soft pink, that's again more of the metal element.

If somebody is like, "Oh, I don't really want a lot of red in my home," Feng Shui is about not being stuck on certain rules. It's like, let's look at the client and what will really support them. What is their element? What is it they want in their lives and what is the reason that they don't want the fire? We can bring it in through shapes. The shape of fire is a triangle because it's like a point. Think about the flames are kind of like the shape of the flame.

Again, we got the wave of the water, we've got the rectangular shape of the wood and then the fire is a triangular shape. Now, if you want to bring fire furniture into your home, of course, this is a great example of this little footstool here. It's in a triangular shape and it's red. Like that's an ultimate fire remedy in Feng Shui there. Even the table above it wouldn't be exactly something that we'd recommend. Looks like it's got really sharp corners, and glass top tables, not a suggestion so much in Feng Shui.

We've got this lamp here, which is all triangles, and then because it's a light, it's a fire. But again, in Feng Shui, I wouldn't suggest something like that over your head because that's very sharp and pointy.

The Fire element. How do you bring the fire element in? Anything red. This is the only one out of the five elements that by bringing in the color is as powerful as the elements. With water, you really have to bring in the fountain or you only get about 50% of the remedy. Same with the wood element, you really want to bring in the live plants and/or fresh flowers. When it comes to the fire element you can add the color red and that will 100% remedy or activate whatever energy it is we want. So red rugs, red candles.

Now, keeping in mind, when it comes to candles that when they're lit, they're fire. When they're not lit, it's just wax. However, if it's a red color candle, then it's always going to be bringing the fire element in. I think with any Feng Shui remedies, we always want to make sure something is safe. So saying to somebody, you need to keep the candle lit here all the time is not going to be a great suggestion because we want to keep things safe. If they're there and they enjoy lighting candles, of course, that's going to bring more of the fire element in. And then you could plug in night lights and this one brings out a gentle red glow, which is even more powerful for bringing the fire element.

And then, of course, you've got your artwork. Anything with a lot of red in the artwork, a picture of fireworks, or a field of red poppies. Now, this picture on the bottom, right, I put it up as an example because there is a lot of fire in this picture with the sunrise, though, at the same time, there's a lot of water. Again, we've talked about the relationship between fire and water. The water puts it out it's a destructive cycle. Ideally, this would not be your perfect fire remedy artwork to bring in. The red flowers, a picture of red roses, or could be a beautiful red sunrise or sunset over a mountain or over a greenfield which would be wood. That would feed the fire element.

Then a couple of notes on the color red you ought to be mindful about how you add the red color. So, for example, a kitchen already has a lot of fire in it. The stove, the toaster, ovens, the toaster, so painting a kitchen red might just bring a little too much fire energy and then create this aggressive energy in the kitchen.

The same thing within a bedroom, we want it to be very Yin and very peaceful and relaxing but if we've got a lot of red in it, that makes it very Yang and very active. The two areas that we really don't suggest a ton of red are the kitchen, and the bedroom. Now, if red is needed as a remedy, you can just do a couple of red candles or in a kitchen, you could do red tea towels or something very simple like that.

The fourth of the five elements. We've got the element of Earth and what does Earth do? It grounds us, for stabilizing, for centering, Earth does that in our space. Think about the mountain, it's hard to move a mountain because it's so grounded, it's so clear and knows what it wants. Now, of course, if there's too much earth then it makes people start to get a little bit stubborn. So again, always comes back to balance.

In the center, we're going to look at the Trigram, but the center is to do with the element of earth. The parts of the body, like the reproductive system, and the intestines, we would look at in the center, and of course, that's just to do with the health element. Then the element that feeds Earth is fire. Think about when you have a fire and when the fire goes out there are ashes left there. Fire feeds and makes the earth and then what destroys it is the wood, the plant. When you see these beautiful trees out in nature, or just your own potted plant at home, as it starts to grow, what happens? The earth starts to disappear because the wood eats the earth in order for it to grow.

The colors for the earth are when you look down at the soil, what do you see? You see browns and yellows and beiges and cream colors. These are all of your earth colors. Certain oranges, as you can see in this top left-hand corner. That's an earth element but when the orange gets more red in it, that tends to be more of a fire color. Furniture, the shape of Earth is a square, that very earthy square.

Remember, the shape of water is the wave, the wood is the rectangle, the fire is the triangle and then the wood is that square shape. If you look at this furniture, it's more like bulky, earthy, square-shaped furniture and then that table, if we wanted to bring Earth into our space and that table with the fire in the center of it, that's the fire feeding the earth element.

This sofa that you see or this chair that you see here is very earthy in shape, but it's also an earth color. It's a definite way through furniture alone, to bring the Earth color in.

The ultimate way to bring our earth element in is through ceramics, brick, adobe, crystals; any kind of beautiful crystals in our space. Just keep in mind that plants, a potted plant is a wood element, not an earth element. Bringing it in through artwork; you can bring in a picture of a mountain, it could be a picture of rocks, beautiful rocks on a beach, or something. Just be mindful of the picture of the mountain that you choose to bring into your space isn't too jagged or sharp. We really want to keep things smooth as much possible in our space.

Last but not least, what we do with the elements is we have something called Red Earth. This is a mixture of Earth and fire, both together, which brings a fusion of what we call Red Earth. So here are some examples; a salt lamp and any kind of red crystals like a red or amber amethyst that's more of a red or purple, citrine, you can get kind of more red color citrine and any of those will bring in a really great fire and red earth remedy. Then you've got tiles because they're made of Earth, but they're painted a fire color. And then, of course, anything that is a terracotta is wonderful for Red Earth. Terracotta vase, terracotta bowl, anything made out of terracotta is going to bring that red earth element that we need.

Then last but not least, we have our metal element and it's interesting because a lot of us have wood in our home because there is usually wood furniture, wood cabinets, and beds are made out of wood. We tend to have earth, tiles, and various things like that. Fire people tend to maybe bring a little bit in but metal seems to be the element that we all have, least of in our home and as we go through Feng Shui, you'll find it's actually a really vital and powerful element.

If you've ever had acupuncture done - I like to think of it this way - if you've ever had acupuncture done, it's usually you go to the acupuncturist because you've got discomfort or pain somewhere in your body and you go to the acupuncturist, you might say, "Oh, I've got a pain in my wrist," they'll find the meridian, the line of energy in your body, just like we've got lines of energy in our home, and they'll say, "Okay, there is a point here, I'm going to put the needle in this point," and it's like you feel this dispersion of Chi and by adding the metal, just like we will do in our home, we'll place it in there, we disperse the Chi and release that stagnant energy. Then usually the pain goes away. That's kind of a little bit of understanding - the metal pierces the energy and allows whatever that stagnant energy is to get things moving.

Metal really does help with focus and clarity. It helps with wealth, health, and love. It really is one of the most powerful elements and we all need it in our homes. The parts of the body that we relate it with are the lungs, the skin, and the large intestine and then the direction for metal is west. The secondary direction is the northwest, so the west and the northwest. What's destructive for the metal is fire because a fire comes in and melts and it completely destroys it. What reduces it is water because it rusts it. We'll be talking lots more about the cycles.

How do we bring metal into our space? Anything made out of metal; metal furniture, metal lighting, a metal mirror, and the shape for metal is the round shape. This metal mirror would be wonderful. It's got a big heavy metal frame and it's in the metal shape and then it's not painted a different color because if it was painted blue that would weaken it to water, would rust it or if it's red it would melt it. Any kind of metal furniture, metal table and chairs, and metal lamps. When it's in a lamp, though, with the fire, that does weaken it a bit, because the fire destroys the metal elements.

Ideally, it's better if it's not with a light and then some mirrors actually have led metal at the back of them. Some just have a wooden backing but if it does, then we'll add extra elements because ideally, in order to bring the metal remedy, we need to have a minimum of 30 pounds of metal and it's based on the size of your home, which we'll talk about, or through the metric system, about 20 kilograms of metal. That's a lot of metal and we're talking about every section of your home, every gua that would need it.

Another way to bring in metal is through statues, any kind of metal will work; brass, bronze, aluminum, tin. But think about it the brass and the bronze are the really, really heavy metal elements so they're going to be better. A very simple, inexpensive, kind of random way to bring in the metal is through metal weights. The metal needs to be able to breathe just like we talked about it with the water. We don't want them wrapped in plastic or covered, we want them to be open. Metal weights are a really good way to bring in a heavy amount of metal into your space very inexpensively.

It doesn't need to be seen, however, it does have to breathe, so it's very important. So if you see those metal weights with a heavy plastic to make it softer for your hands when you lift it, that's not going to work because that metal is not breathing. Now, if there's a very light coating, because a lot of them have a coating, that's okay but if it's like heavy plastic all around it, that won't work.

To the left here, this is called a solar-powered, windless wind chime. You can get these on a website called sun blossoms, which will be in the resource sheet, and we're going to talk about moving metal a little bit more. Metal weights, any furniture made out of metal, and then the colors for metal are white and silver.

Moving metal is another way that when we learn more about the flying stars and the annual five and the nine-five, the five is the least auspicious star in Feng Shui and when that comes into our home; we've all got them in our home in a few locations. It's better if it's in an area where we don't really spend much time, but either way, they have to be remedied in everybody's space.

Depending on where that annual five is for the current year that we're in, that moving metal needs to go in that space. It could be an open-faced clock, making sure it has two hands and that they are made of metal, that's very important. You can do a pendulum clock, a grandfather clock, and again, there is that solar-powered windless wind chime and I think they're really sweet and make a beautiful, gentle noise in your home. And then there's this other option and that's battery operated and it spins around and it's got a crystal in the center, which is really pretty when the light catches it and creates this prism of beautiful light in the space.

Again, the colors of metal are whites, silvers and grays, and pastels, and then the artwork that's representing the metal is anything made out of metal. So you can see various options here. The one thing I do see a lot of time when it comes to metal artwork is metal seems to be kind of sharper. So just being mindful of that, again, we always want things to be soft, to create this beautiful flow of energy, round shapes are better because when we look at our homes, there are so many right angles - the shapes of the doors, the shapes of the walls, the shapes of the windows. The more that we can bring in that beautiful round, more curved soft-edged shapes, the better the Chi flow we're going to get in our spaces.

If you're bringing in the metal element if it is then a different color like red, which is the fire, which completely melts and destroys it. It is no longer going to be a metal element, it's now a fire element. Same thing with a kitchen table. You might be like, "Oh great, I've got metal. Oh no, it's painted red. It's now a fire element."

  • The Three Cycles of the Five Elements of Feng Shui17:35

    The Three Cycles

Now that we've looked at what the five elements are, let's have a look at how they interact together, just like we see its nature, when some elements come together, they help each other grow and expand. Then when some elements come together, it can be a destructive process. There are certain ways in Feng Shui, and this is how we shift the energy around by bringing certain elements in to activate and enhance good energy. Then we bring some elements that will weaken or neutralize some energies that we don't want in our space.

Let's have a look. As we've talked about already, we've got five elements. Water, wood, fire, earth, and metal. Then we have three cycles within those five elements. The first cycle we're going to look at together is our productive cycle and how one element feeds the next to create growth and expansion. We call that, as I mentioned, the Productive cycle. As you can see with our five elements here, the productive cycle goes clockwise. Moving forward, and it's the green line right there. Let's take a look at the five elements with the productive cycle.

If we look here, I usually like to start with the water; you could start with any element you want. As we look at water, when we water our plants, when the rain falls on the trees, it helps them grow. Then think about wood feeding the fire, we throw our logs into a fireplace; the fire gets bigger and bigger like a bonfire. The more wood and leaves and twigs, and branches that we throw in there, the larger the fire becomes. Then after the fire, what is left is only ashes; the Earth remains. You can see how the water helps produce the wood, and then the wood goes in the fire, and it helps produce the fire, then the fire makes the Earth with the ashes. Then where do we get our metal from? We chip it out from the Earth, so the Earth then feeds itself to the metal. Then the metal helps make water with condensation.

I think it's beneficial to have some visuals to help you. When we put the wood in the fire or a bonfire or if you're just at a campsite, you're going to put more wood in the fire to help it grow and expand. Then after that, fire is out, we're left with ashes. We're left with Earth, and we usually just throw those ashes back into the Earth. Think about it with volcanoes, right when they erupt with that fire, and the mountain is there.

Then we have the Earth feeding the metal, think about the miners. There would be a big mountain, and then they chip the Earth away, within that Earth, the Earth produces and feeds the metal elements. If you think about it when you commence your metal car on a cold morning, there are little droplets of water, which is condensation, so, therefore, you can see how the metal creates and feeds the water. Then, of course, when we water our plants, they thrive, they stay alive. There are the five elements within that productive cycle.

The next cycle that we're going to talk about is the weakening, or some people call the reducing cycle. The productive cycle we went clockwise around, now for the weakening or reducing cycle, we're going to go counterclockwise or anti-clockwise, whatever you’d rather call it. You're just actually moving backward.

Let's start; there's the flip side of it if you've got a plant and it needs water, we feed it water for it to thrive. However, what does the plant do to the water? Well, it drinks this and absorbs this, and weakens the water. You may have a vase full of flowers, fresh flowers, you fill it with water, and you come back a couple of days later, the plants are doing well because the water is feeding it; however, there's way less water in there because the plants are pulling the water out. There's less water; the water has been sucked up.

Next of all, we look at the relationship that water has with metal when the metal creates the water, the flip side is what does the water do to the metal? The water is weakening the metal elements. It starts to rust and erodes the metal, think about anybody that lives along the ocean, and they have any kind of metal, furniture, or railings. It starts to weaken, and holes start to appear; it doesn't destroy it. However, it weakens it from its original form.

Then we look at the relationship. The weakening cycle of what the metal does to the Earth.
We might have this full mountain, and then we're going to mine the mountain or maybe gold or certain types of minerals of metals in that mountain. What does it do? We create holes in the mountains, we weaken the mountain in order to mine, whatever that gold or whatever the metal that we want to take out of it. The mountain still stands, but it's weakened because then there are holes and passageways within that mountain.

Then we look at what the Earth does to the fire. When we look at the creative cycle, of course, the fire creates the Earth. The opposite to that with the weakening cycle, we go in the other direction is the fire puts the Earth out. Just imagine if you're camping and you've got this beautiful fire that's blazing and you're like, well, ready to go to sleep, but we want to make sure it's safe that the fire doesn't burn the trees. We say, let's dampen this fire, it'd still be nice to get the heat out of it. What do we do? We throw soil; we throw Earth, we throw rocks on top of that fire to dampen it down and weaken the fire. We're still maintaining some of the heat, but we're taking or really weakening the fire so it doesn't create more fire.

The next cycle that we want to look at is what does fire do to the wood. When we want to in the creative cycle, have a big fire, we put our wood into the fire; if we look at the weakening cycle and we go counterclockwise, what does that fire do to the wood? Well it burns it and it weakens it.

Now, there are times in nature, it's amazing when we look at how these elements truly interact in nature, in certain places of the world, perhaps San Diego, where they get a lot of fires because it's quite dry. It's almost like the Earth is doing its own natural cycle. Just like we get our hair trimmed to make it stronger and to grow, the Earth does its own natural kind of cycle as well. Sometimes when the bushes are being overgrown, the Earth naturally creates a fire to remove that undergrowth of the bushes. Unfortunately, in a lot of these hot places, the fire then gets strong and it burns places that it's not meant to.

The Earth almost has this natural cycle where the fire comes in and burns that wood element, so the wood is not completely gone; it's weakened because it's being burned by the fire.

Then last but not least, we're going to look at the destructive, or some call it the controlling cycle. This is where you see the blue lines in the shape of a star. As we know, clockwise was the creative counterclockwise was weakening, then we have the destructive or controlling cycle. Let's have a look at how the elements interact in the controlling cycle.

Well, we know that if we have a fire element, when we have a fire, what do we do? We call firefighters and they bring water and they put it on the fire and they diminish and destroy and completely put that fire out. Remember, with the Earth, we came in, and we just dampened it and weakened it, but when we come in with that water, we completely destroy that fire element.

The next element is the fire that melts the metal. When we've got metal, when we brought in the water for the weakening cycle, it just rusted and weakened it. When we come in with that fire element, we completely destroy that metal; it turns it into a completely liquid form.

The next element that we have is what does the interaction between metal do to wood. It completely destroys. Think about this beautiful forest for the trees and then the forester comes along with a metal ax and completely cuts down that tree. In the fireplace with that weakening cycle, the fire comes in or weakens the wood, but the log is still there, even though it is very much so weakened.

However, when we come in with the metal, we chop down the tree, the tree will not grow again. The tree is done, but when I described in the weakening cycle, sometimes there was a fire and it just burned the undergrowth that bush and the bush then can carry on growing is not destroyed, but it definitely is made smaller. In this case, with the metal, it completely chops it down and it's no longer going to grow.

Then last but not least, what does the wood do to the Earth so you can see this all the time in nature when in a forest or in a park. You can start to see the roots of the tree come up through the Earth. What that basically is, an oak tree may just start with one acorn, and then the Earth gives of itself. It gets its nutrients, it gives of itself in order for that tree to grow, grow, grow.

The roots of the tree go deep into the Earth because it's eating. It's eating the Earth, eating the nutrients, then as that tree grows, the Earth is feeding it, and then there's less of the Earth. That's why you start to see the roots of the tree and just the wood, which is being strengthened as the Earth is being destroyed.

It's no different than when you have a potted plant in your home, and we fill that pot with soil, and you put in a beautiful plant for yourself to grow, and then you may come back to water it because the water is creating a cycle for the wood and you look down, and the plant is grown, but you've only got half a pot of soil left. That's because the Earth has given of itself to the wood, and the wood has drawn from the Earth. It actually destroys the earth elements.

It's amazing as we look at the interaction of these elements in nature. As everything that I've discussed if you really start to observe nature when it rains, how plants thrive after even when you put water in your fresh flowers, or you water your plants as you start to go for walks in your garden or in the park and you start to see the roots coming out of the Earth.

I invite you to really start to acknowledge and commune and see how all these beautiful elements are in front of us every day and how they're completely interacting with these cycles. That's the beauty of Feng Shui; it really supports us to align more with the natural rhythms of nature, the seasons of the Earth.

What does the Earth do to the water? Well, the Earth completely blocks the water. Think about how dams are built; if they want to reroute a river to bring water to a city, they will build a huge big concrete dam, thick Earth so the water can no longer flow in that direction that it wants to. Perhaps part of the flow of the water is guided off to another direction, to another city.

Think about it even when you look at a gentle stream. If you can do this yourself, you build a little line of rocks, and what happens when the water starts to come to it and it blocks the flow of the water?

Water is amazing because water always gives us that reminder to go with the flow. If there is a stream and there's a rock in front of it, the river goes, there's a rock, there's a block, but I'm going to flow around. I'm going to find another way. It's amazing to watch the dynamic of all these elements with each other, of course, with the likes of the dam that is really built to completely block the water or perhaps allow a certain portion of the water to flow through.

Let's just do a little recap on what the elements are, the shapes of the elements. The water is the wave, the wood is the column-like shape, the fire is a triangle, the Earth is the square, and the metal is a circle shape.

Of course, they all have their colors, so we've got the five elements, and we haven't talked about the numbers yet related to the elements. We'll get to that, and just to do a little recap on the colors, metal is round, and it can be white, gold, silver, or copper. It pierces inwards, and we look at the metal as being a very yang element.

That's why, for example, we need metal in the bedroom. It's not recommended under the bed; it's far too high an energy element. We'd rather if we need in the bedroom that they put it under a dresser, so it's not directly underneath you while you are sleeping, just like not wanting a metal headboard, which we'll discuss more of.

Now we've got a water element, which is the wavy shape and we know the colors; blue, black. a dark grey would be water, but most of the grey colors are off the metal element, and the water tends to be a very yin element. Now we've got our wood, which is also yin, and that direction is east and southeast. It's a column-like shape.

I just wanted to do a little recap on the percentages and the amount of metal that we'd like to bring into our homes, the square footage of a home in pounds. Ideally, to bring in a metal remedy for a thousand square foot home or under, we want to bring in 30 pounds. If we want to make it a heavy metal element for which we have already discussed yet like an animal two or a 9 5 or 2 5, which we haven't discussed yet, we want to up that by fifteen pounds to make it a heavy metal element.

For a home of a thousand square feet or under, we want about forty-five pounds; if it's heavy metal, then every thousand square feet the home goes up, we want to up that by ten pounds each time. Now, if you're on the metric system, we look at it more than ninety-five meters squared by about 15 K.G. Then again, as that goes up, we're adding another five K.G. for every 100 meters squared.

This chart will be in your print out a laminate sheet that I suggest you print out and laminate because to know these quantities of the metal is important to help you as you remedy spaces for metal if needed. I suggested it's essential as you go into nature to look at the interaction between these elements and consciously as you water your plants look at how the wood is absorbing the water or when the rain comes down or as you walk. You see the roots coming out of the Earth. If you're letting your fire, you're putting logs in it, and you can see the colors of the elements.

You can start to see the shapes of the elements. I'm going to start to invite you to experiment with that. Getting plenty of time and in nature to watch how the natural elements of nature interact with each other.

My invitation to you is to get time outside every day, even if it's just five minutes in the
    garden.

  • How to Calculate your Personal Trigram39:31

How to calculate your personal trigram

Now that we've looked at the five elements of Feng Shui and how these five elements cycle together through the productive, the weakening and the destructive cycle. Now, from your date of birth, we want to look at your personal Feng Shui trigram. This will show what element you are, and in that way we can look at what elements support you, what elements weaken you, and what your best directions are. Now, this is not really a Feng Shui astrology; this is more looking at your Feng Shui element, your environmental element. How we can support you in your environment, it doesn't read your destiny or anything. We look more at four pillars Bazi or nine-star key to look at Feng Shui astrology. This is specifically for looking at your element, your environmental element, and how we can support you in your home and in your office.

As we know, there are five elements in Feng Shui, and we're going to find out which one of those five elements you are, and everybody else in your household; It’s called your personal trigram.

Let's start by working at the female trigram. Now the first two steps. Step one and two are the same for both the female and the male trigram. First, we base Feng Shui on is the solar calendar, which you see happens between February 3rd and February 5th, depending on the year. We just want to look at the date and the month. If you were born between January 1st and February 5th.

Usually, if you're born within that time period, the third and the fourth and the fifth, we'd need to find out the exact date for that year that you were born. We will go back a year; for example, in this chart in 1936, if somebody were born in January second, we would go back to 1935. Or if they were born on February 2nd, we will go back to 1935.

As you can see in step two that this person was born on the 6th of May 1936, so, therefore, the year stays the same because they were born after the Solar New Year happened. Then, the first thing we want to do is we want to get the year where we want to bring it to a single digit. Somebody was born in 1936; we would then add the digits together 1 9 3 6 that equals 19. Now we're always going to try and bring it back to a single digit. So then we add the one and then nine of the 19, and that equals 10. And then we again want to bring that to a single digit. So we add zero, and that equals one. Then we have a one.

For the female, step three. We want to add 4 to that final number that we got from step 2. So we would add 1 and 4, and that equals 5. Now, five is the only number that does not have a trigram, which you're going to learn more about soon. For a female, if we happened to get a five as a number. The female is automatically an 8, which would be an 8 Earth. Any other number that you get on step three that isn't a five would then give you a result of the element, the number that your personal trigram is.

Let's look at the male trigram and see the different steps that we take from the female to the male.

Step one is still the same. What we want to do is find out if somebody was born before or after the Solar New Year between January 1st and February 5th. Depending on that year, the weather is strictly third, fourth or fifth, whether we go back a year or not.

Let's look at this example of somebody born on January 23rd, 1978, a male. Because they were born on January 23rd. That is before the solar new year of 1978, we're going to go back a year. We're going to look at their chart as though they were born in 1977. Then we're going to do the same steps as we did for the female on step two. We want to bring those digits to a single digit. We're going to add the 1 9 7 and the 7, which equals twenty-four. And then again, as we get our ready, we're going to add the two in the four to make that a single digit, and that's going to equal number six.

Now, this is where for this male step three is different. For the female, we added four for the male upset three, we're going to minus that number from eleven. So we get five, six, which was our number minus it from eleven oh, we got five. This is another one where we came up with the example of the no trigram of five. For men, they're automatically a number two. For the females, the women automatically a number eight, but for the males, they're automatically a number two. This male born on January 23rd, we go back to 1978, we go back to 1977, we add all those digits together. We're going into a single digit, we minus that from eleven. And then whatever the number is, in this case, it ended up being a five trigram because there is no five trigram. This male automatically is number two. Now what I'm going to invite you to do is I'm going to get you to pull off this video and work out what your own personal trigram is and then start working out people that you know, maybe other people in your household, friends and start looking at what in their personal trigram is. So now, let's look at based on the number that you've got, what elements you are, what are your most supportive directions, and not so supportive directions. So the first element that we have here is the number one element, and the one is the element of water and water people are all about going with the flow.

They tend to be more easygoing, more reflective, and love to be by the water. Love to be by the ocean. Love to be by streams and rivers and waterfalls. And we already know colors that are most supportive. Now, if somebody is water. The blues and the blacks, because the water element is what they are. And then we look at the elements that feed them, feed you, well, you one water people. So we know that one is the element of water. And what feeds water from that created cycle is metal. So bringing metal inside your environment is going to be very supportive for you. Then we look at what element depletes you and weakens and we know that the earth will pass and then that the wood weakens because of this drinking. You know, it's absorbing the water. So ideally in our environments, metal is going to be very supportive. It doesn't mean that you avoid the other elements. We would definitely look at colors that you sleep in that can be most supportive of your sheets, blues and blacks that are your element or the element that feeds you, which will be metal colors; white, silver, grey.

The water person tends to be more easygoing, more flexible, more fluid just think about how water flows. If there's a rock in the river, the water goes, OK. There's a block. Let me just flow around it. Right. Very different in the fire, parts of the water crescent kind of and one thing that I would say about a water person is to think about water. When water has no structure at all, we have a tsunami that will flood an entire village, water that has some kind of guidance on what direction to go will sustain life.

Water is so powerful we cannot survive without it. But when it's channeled for water, for us to drink, water for us to clear with water knows some kind of a structure. It's unstoppable. It's amazing. Water people tend to be very creative. And because they tend to be so reflective, they tend to worry a little bit, a little bit too much, and then can also be quite sensitive because they are very empathic.

These trigrams are not exact astrology reading, but it does tell us a little bit about that person. And then most importantly, though, it tells us what element you are and how we can really support you in your environment. The other thing that we look at the sheets, because that's something that touches all of you, but also is the color of your wallet. So if you're a water person, again, blues and blacks are going to be a great color or the silver colors, white, grey or silver, I would tend to avoid a green wallet or an earth-colored like yellow or beige because that's going to block finances

Now there are four really good directions that are going to support you. We have charts that you can print out. There is one if you go into the printable chart section, there's one chart that you can print out pretty much most years that somebody is born what their personal trigram number will be. Also on that chart is going to share what their best personal directions are.

There's an A B a C and D direction that are really good. For example, the A direction is your Yang direction. If your front door is in your direction which for a number one water person is southeast, that's gonna be really good for money and prosperity.

Ideally, when we're purchasing a home or looking at a home for an entire family, we ideally look at the main breadwinner of the house and we try to get the front door in their direction. It's also a really good direction to have your back facing when you're working. For example, in your office, southeast would be a really good direction to have your back face and therefore the front of you, your face will actually be facing northwest east. East is also a really good direction. The A direction has the most yang that the B is your next direction.

The B direction for a number one water person would be east. This is a very good direction also for prosperity, a very good direction for health, and it's also a very good direction for elders. So again, you would have your back facing when you are sitting down eating at your dining room table, you want to have your back facing east with your front-facing west.

Your C direction, which is actually very good for improving relationships of family members and just relationships in general in your C direction, which for the number one water people is the direction of scent. For example, if you had siblings, children that were arguing a lot. I would suggest seeing if you can get them to sleep in their south direction and that will create more harmony in relationships. Same thing for a married couple and that's going to create more harmony in relationships. Your C direction is also very good for health. If you had an option for your bed direction, I would suggest your C or your D direction because they have a more Yin direction.

Your A direction is more yang, the more active direction for your front door to your desk to face when you're working. C direction or the D direction too for sleeping. If you have the option for number one water person, ideally to have the crown of your head, when you're laying and facing the direction that the crown of your head is going, you ideally want it in your S or your N direction. So that would mean that your feet are facing the opposite direction.

Of course, more importantly, when we get to the bedroom section, we'll talk about it so that you're not sleeping in line with the door. You can see the door when you're sleeping. You haven’t got a bathroom beyond your head, where you're sleeping or sleeping with your head against an electrical box. We'll talk more about that later.

Basically your C and your D direction are very good for sleeping. And then your north direction is very good for fertility and for a good peaceful night's sleep. So, again D direction for the number one water person and is north. If you were working for yourself to conceive or helping a couple with fertility, you would see if you can position either both of them. But if they have different elements to it, maybe look at the person that needs the most support in either sleep or fertility and place them in their D direction. OK.

Next of all, let's look at the number 2, which is an Earth person. We've got our number 2 Earth, it represents Mother Earth. A lot of you, including me, I’m a number 2 Earth people like to do Feng Shui because we want to harmonize with the earth, we want to create more harmony. Oprah Winfrey, she's number 2 Element. They’re like the peacemakers.

There are lots of other amazing elements that practice Feng Shui and do other light work. But I just happened to find there are a lot of number 2s that are in the Feng Shui industry.

Colors that are going to support you are going to be your Earth colors. Cream. Brown. Yellows. Any of those earth tones. And then what feeds you is that fire, right? Fire makes the earth. The sheets for your bed are earth colors. Fires might make it a little bit yang, but when it comes to your wallet, a red wallet is fantastic. Any of the fire colors, pink, bright purple, magenta and or course for your wallet, any kind of earth colors. And that's very good for kind of stabilizing your financial situation.

What depletes us is the metal element, because that's weakening us. And then the wood is a destructive cycle. The number two people are very much so caregivers, but also can have that leader within them and also are kind of clear-minded when you have a lot of earth in your chart, in your earth element, the 8 would be more of that stubborn energy because it's like mountain energy. You stand strong in your decisions, but sometimes it could lead to a little bit of stubbornness.

15:49 Let's look at the best directions for a number two earth person. So you're best, most yang A direction is northeast. Sitting at your desk, you want your back to be northeast and to face southwest. Southwest is also your D direction. If you can go into either of those in your desk, ultimately, your A direction, northeast, is going to be best for your front door. It's going to be best for your desk position.

Then we've got our west direction, which is your B direction for the number 2s. And that's very good for health. It's very good for prosperity. As I mentioned, the B direction is also good for elders. So if you were Feng Shuing an old person's home or retirement community or working with elderly people, if possible, get them sleeping in their west direction. And of course, in their B direction. And of course, a C is also very good for health. We want the more Yin directions. Now, if you look at the C direction for a number 2 Earth person, Northwest, is good for longevity health, and again, as we discussed, family dynamics and relationships.

If you're feeling that you are having disharmony in your relationships, if you could shift yourself into your northwest direction, and then your D direction is southwest. That is a kind of overall harmony, and again, very good for fertility. This, again, is the direction that your headboard and the crown of your head is to face when you sleep at night. Of course, keeping the other things really in mind and not angling your bed or where direction to just get yourself into these is equally as important, the balance in the room and kind of your form Feng Shui in your room.

Next of all, we have our number 3 wood element. We mentioned more as a hardwood so that we've got as far as the earth goes, we've got a number 2, which we just discussed. Well, we've got number 8, which, like the 2 is a softer earth and the 8 is a stronger Earth. And then we've got 3 and 4, our wood elements. The number 3 wood, for all of you that have 3 in your chart, this symbol means thunder, so a number three person tends to be very level-headed.

The reason why they say thunder is number three-person that happened to kind of learn to speak their truth and express what they need in this empowered, peaceful manner tends to be really, really, really calm and then may have a thunderstorm outburst. For all the number 3s, it's really good to know yourself and know like, I need to speak my truth here in this moment rather than let it build up.

For the 3 wood, what colors are going to feed you? The color is green. The element that you are also greens because you wood, but the element that feeds you is water, so it's the blues and the black. So if you're looking at cheat sheets, we're going to look at the blues and the blacks and the greens, and the same goes for your wallet.

What depletes you is the fire because that burns it and weakens or the metal completely chops. We wouldn't want to sleep in red sheets or white sheets. Number 3 people tend to be very, very determined, very motivated and very inspiring and also creative.

Your A direction is S. We’ve talked about that term prosperity and also for fame. Getting your name out there in the world. So that was a very strong intention for a specific period of time. See if you can position yourself in your A direction. It really is the career and success direction. A great direction for the A if you were going to hang up your vision board to be able to put it in that direction because it's like you've got the support of the universe behind you.

Then your B direction is north, and so that's all about goo health, and prosperity and again and we discuss with the elders. For the C direction, it would be southeast and that's harmony, harmonic relationships, harmony in the family. And it's also good for public relations. So any kind of relationships, in general. And again, it's good for sleeping in. And then we've got our D direction, which is east, which is your best thinking direction and good for a peaceful night's sleep. And again, really good for fertility.

The next wood direction that we have is number 4, which is known as the soft wood. And then the symbol is the Wind or the Traveler. The number 3 is a harder wood and it's just the occasional thunderstorm. But then the 4, is a powerful force. Number 4 people have this unbelievable determination and movement about it. Even my daughter, for example, she's a number 4. It was amazing because from the second she was born, she was just always moving. It was just like she wanted to crawl, she wanted to run, she wanted to roll. It's amazing to know ourselves and understand ourselves and understand our family members and see that maybe that number 2 or 8 person doesn't mean that quite as much. But the wood elements, they need to move and that needs to be honoured.

The number four person tends to be very insightful, very driven. Like the wind, they can change direction, but it's an intuitive thing. At the same time, it's very important for the number 4 person to be grounded and connect with the earth. They also tend to be very creative and artistic. They can have a lot of leadership skills.

For a number 4 person their A direction is north and it's the money direction. Great for the vision board. Great for the front door. Great to position your desk. Or we know if you just go work at a cafe or sit somewhere in your living room or at your dining room table, try and position your back in your north direction.

South is really good. So if you're going to face north or south for a 4 person, it's gonna be good either way. The south focuses a little bit more on health with the north direction, your A direction, a little bit more money-focused. Then you've got your C direction, which is the direction of east. Again, that's good for relationships and the elders.

And then we've got your D direction, which is very good for overall harmony, really good night's sleep and fertility. So as we've discussed, there are no 5 trigram. However, now we look at the two metal elements. So first of all, we have the metal element of 6, which is known as the harder of the metals. So we got like the softer and the harder of the elements. The metal is known as a heavenly number; it's like the element of heaven.

We look at the northwest, which is a direction that's associated with it as being Heaven's Gate. It brings in this heavenly energy. Number 6 people have the metal elements. The colors that are going to support you the most by the metal colors: grey, silver, gold, pastels, and white. Then the colors that feed you are the earth colors. Anything that is earthy, the tans, the beiges, the browns.

What depletes you is the water, because it rusts the metal or fire and it totally destroy and burn it. When we look at our sheets and our wallets for a number 6 metal person, we want to look at the metal colors and we want to look at the earth tones.

The number 6 are natural-born leaders. It definitely tends to be because it's the harder and the more masculine of the metal elements. It's like leaders, it's like you might find if you're a number 6 person, that you come together with a group of people to do a project and all of a sudden you're the leader and you're like ‘how did that happen?’. Because the number 6 person just has natural-born tendencies to lead, and are very creative and they know what they like and they're very good at expressing that. Therefore, they just naturally end up getting that leadership role.

The best direction for money and fame for your front door to position yourself wherever you're working, whether it's a cafe or wherever you may be, position yourself with your back facing west. And even if you're going for a job interview or any kind of event where you want to have that abundance of support for your yang direction, put your back facing west, facing with your front, looking in the east direction.

Then your B direction is northeast. That’s good for good fortune and it's a very good health direction for the elders. Then you've got your C direction, which is southwest, which is great for family harmony, creating more harmony in relationships and really good for health.

Your C direction is a great direction to get everybody in the household to sit in when they're eating their meal because it's good for digestion. It's a good direction to get everybody to sleep in, and if you want to create more harmony in the relationships, because it's also one of the more yin directions that make it more supportive for sleep.

We have the D direction, and the D direction is northwest. That's good for a peaceful night's sleep and really good for fertility.

Now we have our number 7 metals, which is known as the softer metal and the symbol of the marsh because it's like the softer of the two metals.

It's almost like when you see the metal softening; if it was melting, It's kind of a softer element to it. We know the colors we just discussed for the metal are the whites and the silvers and the greys and the pastels. The element that feeds metals are all of the earth tones. What depletes it are the water and the fire.

The number 7 people tend to be very creative, very sociable, love to chat, tend to be leaders. Both metals like quality. So crucial to metal elements, and they like things done right. If things are not of quality and done right, it's going to drag them back. That's usually why they take on leadership roles because they know how things get done right.

For the number 7 metals, your best direction, your A direction is a northwest— really good direction for fame and prosperity. Great direction for your front door, your back to face or wherever you position yourself while working, interviews, meetings, any of the above.

Your B direction is southwest, which is going to be great for good fortune and good health, and for the elders.

Now we go into the more Yin direction, we've got Northeast for your C direction. It's perfect for harmony in relationships. Very good for health. If somebody in the home were having some kind of health problems, I would try and get them in their C direction everywhere - sleeping, eating, sitting in the living room, and possibly in health, what's a priority and working in that direction, too.

Then, we've got our D direction the most Yin out of them all for the number 7 person. That would be your headboard going west. It's your fertility direction. If you're just feeling like what I need to focus on, my life right now is creating more peace. I would position yourself as much as possible with your back in your west direction.

What's amazing about these directions is a lot of the time, we intuitively position ourselves in our right direction. When we're tuned in to energy. Like I've discussed before, when we place the baby in its crib, it will position itself to its best direction or even a pet; they'll turn directions when they're sleeping in their beds to orientate themselves with the cosmos, with proper alignment to the energy flow.

Number 8, we talk about 2 being an earth element. Well, the number 8 is also an earth elements. The number 8 people are the loudest. They know what they want. So stable, they're grounded when they make a decision, they stick to that decision. That's so important that we have these grounded, connected, aligned earth people. The one thing about the Earth person is because they're like the mountains, sometimes they get a little stubborn to get them to change their minds on things.

The colors for the earth first and our yellows and the browns and the tans, which are excellent. And then what feeds them is the fire element. That creative cycle so sheets or walls, earth colors, or fire colors. What depletes is the metal because it weakens the earth; what destroys this is the wood because it feeds off the earth in order to grow the plants in the trees.

The best direction for the number 8 person in the southwest for the door, desk, and any kind of meetings and any kind of things that you want to enhance; opportunities for money and fame and getting yourself recognized in your work and your career.

Then in the northwest, we have again, prosperity and good health, perfect for the elders. We got our more Yin direction. For the number 8 person, the C direction is west, and it's all to do with longevity, family harmony, and improves relationships, and then your D direction is Northeast. This is good for health and fertility.

And then, last but not least, out of all our elements, we have the fire element. And as you probably noticed, we have one water, we have two earths, two woods, two metals, but we only have one fire and one water element.

So for all you wonderful fire, people think about that fire. You know, the fire work. The candle flame. Fire people are amazing. We call them the magicians because they could rule the world.

The fire person is amazing with any of the elements. It really is, knowing yourself, knowing ‘I’m this fire person and I know how much I can do’. But what's one thing about a fire or about a candle? What can it do? It burns itself out.

A fire person must be mindful to know it needs to slow down at this moment to bring in more balance like the Earth person is going to know this. But the person with a whole lot of fire element within them; they tend to burn themselves out a little bit more.

So what are the right colors for the fire person? The reds, purples, the burgundy, the burnt orange. Now, be mindful, though, not to bring too much of that in your space. The fire person tends to have a lot of fire already. This is the same with any of the elements – If you’re bringing in too much of that element, you can throw your element out of balance. Remember, it all comes back to the five elements, the balance of them coming together.

What feeds you then is the wood, right? We put the logs in the fire for the fire to grow. Greens are going to be a supportive color for bedding; your wallet, red is great, but think about if you know yourself and you know that you've got a lot of fire going, green is probably going to be a better color for you because it's a very healing color. It's a very calming color.

But a lot of fire in the home for a person who's already fire can almost shift things where you're burning yourself out or become more aggressive because fire people are so passionate about life in general, which is so beautiful.

Your best direction for all the fire people, the number 9 fire, your best direction is east. To have your back facing east when you work, of course, for the front door’s great, and it's excellent to get your name out in your work.

Your B direction, which is still quite a Yang direction, is perfect for prosperity with southeast, and very good health and the elders.

Your C direction we're going to the more Yin peaceful directions is very good for family relationships, and it just prevents arguments so great to get siblings, younger children in their C direction.

D is very good also because it's very calming, which will be set, so very good for overall harmony and it is also good for prosperity.

If you're feeling so much fire, I really want to calm things down. I would take a little bit of a red out of the environment because a lot of the time, for example, that fire person loves activity and movement and will want to go do the kickboxing class or something really energizing; not realizing what that fire person would benefit from the most is a gentle yoga class or a gentle walk out in nature.

Just like the 8, for example, earth person who's very grounded and might want to do the deep yoga class, would probably be better off going for a run or taking something more active. A lot of time, it is about finding that balance, not just bringing in that element that you are.

But for things that touch your skin like the sheets or something, we're better off going with an element that is our element or an element that feeds us.

Here's a little recap. Your A direction is the most auspicious direction. The best direction for your front door, for prosperity and vitality, great for the front door, the primary breadwinner, you have your back facing while working and the best for studying as well. It is an excellent direction, the A direction to study.

This is for everybody, your B direction is really the health direction, but it's also good for prosperity and very, very good if somebody has health problems, try and get them with their back facing their B direction as much as possible. It’s a very good direction to be at the dining room table, have your back facing while you eat.

Then, we have our C direction, which is very good for relationships and your longevity. It's perfect for your health, so, again, C direction is right.

We talked a lot about how it's good to put something in their C direction if there was a lot of disharmony in relationships with a couple or with children or just in general relationships.

Then we’ve got our D direction, which is overall harmony, peace, very good for a good night's sleep. Then it's supported for sound decision making because it's such a calming direction that allows you to gather your thoughts, to calm, to be more peaceful and then from that place, make excellent directions. Of course, a wonderful fertility direction.

Your E direction can bring difficulty and frustration. It can bring procrastination, and things.

Then, we have our F direction, which is not supportive for health and can bring about missed opportunities and possibly some legal things.

Then we have our G direction, which can bring more arguments and family, so again, if we can shift that into the C or D direction.

H is the least most supportive direction all together. It's not for career or finances.

In order to use these directions to your best advantage, remembers this; know what your personal trigram is and remember, there's a chart where you can print them all out and have them with you at any time. Understand the difference between the East and West Group, which we're going to talk about now, understanding that it's the direction behind you that supports you, and be able to determine your chart.

We have East and West groups. Our west group is going to be the earths and the metals. We know that our earth elements are number 2 and number 8. The west metals, west group is number 6 and number 7. As you can see in these charts it’s everything we talked about. The number 2 element you can see we talk about the A direction. Your A direction is going to be for the number 2 people, the best direction for your front door, your best direction to work.

Then, perhaps looking at your D direction, if you want to support fertility, your D direction will be southwest, and so on for all the charts.

There also will be in the notes printable section; there is going to be every single one of the charts that we've just gone over of all the 8 different trigrams. It’s going to be listed, where you can print it out in color, which is wonderful to have for yourself, your family members, and also wonderful for all of your clients. Please make sure to print out all the printable charts that are being provided for you.

Next of all, we have the east group. In the east group, we have the waters, the fire, and the wood people. As we chatted about already, there's only one water, which is the number 1. We have one fire, which is number 9. Then, we've got two wood elements, the number 3 and the number 4.

Just follow the chart that we've chatted about. For example, a number 1 water person, the best direction is their A direction. For the water person, will be southeast, and the worst direction for a number 1 water person would be the G and the H direction are their least, most auspicious direction. If possible, we're trying to get us in the A, B, C, or D direction.

That's a little bit about understanding now as we start to look at the home, understanding what element you are; from that element, knowing what elements are going to support you in your environment, knowing that we need all five elements anyway, but also knowing what our best directions to sleep, to eat, to work, for your front door to face, if possible. That's not something that we can change when we’re in a space, but we're looking at future spaces. It’s also great to know what kind of wallet. And sometimes you can bring the Feng Shui trigram into your car color, into the colors that you wear. I also think when it comes to wearing certain items of clothing to follow our intuition on a day-to-day basis.

    Law of Attraction Feng Shui

This is just so, so dear to my heart; just how powerful Feng Shui can be. It's like when we have an environment that takes us because - so many people are living in a space that they're surviving in and that is not thriving. But with the help of healthy habits and healthy practices and really having an environment that fully supports us, it's amazing how we can prosper and shine.

We can heal and transform our lives by knowing what we deserve and by realizing that we can shift our home to truly represent that which we want. We know how vitally important that is, and we're going to go through step by step today about things that you can bring into your sacred space to really, really start creating that.

We have the ability to create a sacred, beautiful, nurturing space for ourselves. The thing is, nobody else is going to do it for us. It's really important that we empower ourselves with this wisdom, and then take action to create that.

You are the creator of your life. You get to choose the thoughts, feelings, and experiences that support you to align with your truest heart's desires. I think that's all easy, well, and said. Yes, we are the creatives of our own lives, but yet there is which we'll talk more about a destiny that we come in with, and there are certain solar agreements.

Through experiences that we've had in our past, our childhood, there are sometimes some trapped emotions and feelings that we have turned into patterns and beliefs about ourselves, and that really have created some limiting beliefs about who we are as people. I know this for myself, I've really been working through this over the last few years. Yes, we can choose our thoughts. But, we have up to 70 to 90,000 thoughts a day, and 99.9% of them are the same as yesterday. We wonder why things are repeating again in our lives. I think it was [Albert] Einstein that said, was it "doing things the same way and expecting a different result is 'crazy,'". Let's talk about the law of attraction and its core principles.
When we align, we receive inspiration from whether you want to call it Source, the Great Mother Goddess from heaven. This is channeled into the human form to bring us into the earth form. We start to have thoughts, and then we feel the emotions, then we take the physical actions to bring inspiration into being in the present moment.

What's really vitally important is that we start our day going inward so we can receive and channel that information straight from Source. Just like this meditation that we started with, it's vitally important that we align with that energy, so if you wake up and the first thing you do is go to your phone, and check your email, you're ignoring that guidance from Source, and you're just going out into the demands of the world; the chitter-chatter, where you definitely will find that monkey mind and you won't find that inner alignment with that true Source guidance.

My first invitation to you is to start your day where you go inwards, where you can receive that inspiration that is being channeled down to you straight from Source. In order to align with our inspiration, we need to align with the vibrations of our thoughts, our emotions, and our physical sensations, because this is where the environment comes in, and it's so vitally important.

Believe it or not, if we're having 70 to 90,000 thoughts a day, and they're all from the past, our thoughts then talk to our physical body, and our physical body just goes into automatic gear, just like when we're driving a car. If you wake up and you go to your coffee and you eat the stuff that you don't want to eat and you don't exercise, 'wait till tomorrow' or 'I'll start my business tomorrow' or 'work on that or get back to that client later on,' what you're doing is you are kind of living in those thoughts and those vibrations of the past, and they are really not in alignment with what you're ready to step into.

The environment we live in helps us in maintaining our vibration and it supports our thoughts, feelings, and sensations. It's basically a container for a higher frequency, a higher vibration. To raise the vibration of our thoughts, we can use meditation and affirmations. However, if we live in a space, in a home that doesn't support it, it's very easy just to fall back into old patterns.

It's easy to pick something up for a week, two weeks, or three weeks, but then we're back in those old patterns and they're just keeping us stuck in that old space of not where we want to be anymore.

Meditation. We meditate to connect with Source, our highest selves to co-create in the world of quantum physics. It's absolutely vitally important that we quiet our minds and we go inside, internally for true guidance. When we do that, we have clarity, we have focus, we have more energy to do what we want, we make better choices, and we alleviate things like anxiety and depression, and stress - all things that even prevent a good night's sleep. When we don't sleep well, it just turns into this 'hamster cage effect'.

It's time now, that if things aren't flowing in such a way that you would love to say, "Okay, these things aren't flowing, but how can I create these really healthy habits?" As I said, we have over 70,000 thoughts a day, and 99.9% of them are the same as yesterday. As these thoughts are from our past, that basically means that we're living in our past and we're recreating from our past. We're not creating anything new, it just repeats over and over again. It may look a little bit different, but it's actually the same.

However, when we bring our awareness to these old thoughts and patterns and consciously choose to change them, we can create new, healthier, and supportive beliefs. Which is so, so, so, so powerful.

One question that I'd like to ask you is, are you speaking kindly to yourself? Are you being compassionate with yourself? Just like you would with a dear friend or a child that's fallen over and hurt his knee, do you speak as kindly as you would to that person, to that child when you speak to yourself? That's a really, really important question to ask. We must become aware of our old thoughts, or as it could be right now, present thoughts and patterns that keep creating the same reality over and over again. I recommend by starting to listen to these thoughts. It's like anything, it has a power over us where we are not aware of it, but as soon as we bring awareness in, we start to reclaim our power and weaken the power.

I would suggest you get a journal, or if it's easier for you on your computer, I would invite you now, and I think we have 70,000 thoughts a day, over the next few weeks, so I invite you to start tracking your thoughts. Not so much on a day when you're feeling amazing, you're like, "I feel amazing. I am amazing," I'm talking about the days when you might just be brushing your teeth and all of a sudden you're like "I'm the worst person in the world," "I'm not a good person, I'm not kind, I'm not pretty, I'm fat, I'm stupid." Whatever all those really, really, really unkind thoughts are, on a day you're tired and you're pushing yourself and just telling yourself you're not enough. You're not good enough. You don't deserve what? Whatever you say to yourself.

First of all, you may not even be aware that you're saying these things to yourself. Our first step is to bring in awareness. I'm going to invite you to start writing out. The more that you start to observe, the more awareness is there. You're like, "Oh my gosh, I can't believe that," "Oh my gosh, I can't believe that thought." That thought that "I won't ever be a success," "I won't ever be in a healthy relationship," "I won't ever whatever - cancel, clear - whatever... fill in the blanks. The more that you do it, the more that it will come through.

That's the next step that I'm going to suggest. The first one is, going inwards when you start your day. Depending on what your day is like, if you're up early with children or whatever it may be, what part of your day, and I would actually recommend because depending on the brainwave beta alpha that you're in, the most powerful one to access those unconscious thoughts that are running 95% of the show at least are basically from the second you wake up, you haven't woken up fully, your eyes aren't completely awake, is when you go straight into the meditation, and then you connect, you ground down as we did, and then you connect up with Source with a higher level of consciousness.

Then what I'm going to invite you to do, as your second step, over the next few weeks is to write down every single thought, and you are going to be blown away by some of the stuff that you write down the paper. An awareness of all of these limiting beliefs, as you know, "I'm not good at this," "This is how my life will always be," "Life is hard," "I'm not enough." The moment you write those words, you consciously choose to write those words, and you are taking your power back.
It's almost like, let's say they went from, let's just say, 100 feet, side to side, they go to 100 inches. The more awareness they go into one inch and then a 10th of an inch. That's you reclaiming your inner sense of peace, your inner sanctuary, your inner sovereignty, your inner love.

You can go for more than 30 days until you feel like, "Oh, my gosh, I have busted through so many of these limiting beliefs that I have." In order to have a peaceful mind and to get to that place of positive thinking, you must first understand that when your mind is active in a beta brainwave state, the beta brain waves adapt to the energy of your environment. This is where Feng Shui really comes in. Everything in your immediate surrounding will be adapted and replicated in your mind.

If your whole environment is full of things that you don't really love and representing or showing that you don't feel like you deserve, like nothing nice in your home, that's what you're taking out as your belief system.

It's so important to understand that in order to have a peaceful mind, you must also have peaceful energy in your home. If your home was reflecting, "I love myself," or "I love my family," just depends on who else is in your household with you. "I am abundant," "I am successful," I am happy. Then if your environment is supporting that, it's like 'build a village and it will come".

Your body, which is mainly directed by your mind, responds to environmental and situational signals in different ways. As humans, we are created to protect ourselves from potential danger and we've got a built-in fight-or-flight response mechanism. This goes back thousands of years - Ancestry. Therefore your body is constantly communicating with you and it's up to you to listen and bring awareness to thoughts and feelings. Otherwise, what's happening is they're running the show and you're going to live in a place of fight and flight, and that is not your ideal place to be in this phase of the law of attraction.

This doesn't mean that we have to stay in a high vibration all the time when things come up. This is really, really important, and I think, people in a spiritual and working on manifestation, the law of attraction think, "Oh, it is okay to feel these low vibrations," but this is part of the whole human experience. We have a wide range of emotions - Anger, anger has its place; Anger is a powerful way of us knowing that something is not right, something is not fair, something does not feel good. It's really important that's honored. There's grief - sad things happen. The grief has to be processed. It's just when we have tools, it means that we get to really process what we're feeling, move through so then we can move back towards that higher vibration, but it is very, very important that they're not in the space of spiritual bypass.

If you are depressed for a while, that's really important that that is honored, and that you're not beating yourself up because that then creates even more of a downward spiral. Having repressing emotions; it's so important because these emotions are coming up to communicate something with us. If it's anxiety, if it's fear, if it's anger, whatever is coming up, it's coming up as a signal. It's usually coming up as something to shift in our life; stress, we need to slow down. Sad, it's okay to need love and to look for joy and gratitude. Anxious I need calm and grounding. These are just ways that our body is speaking to us.

As I suggested, I'm going to invite you to really start writing things out. Those thoughts, those emotions, and how when you notice that those thoughts and those emotions are almost making your body do things, like reach for the biscuits, like say, "I'll wait till tomorrow to work out" or "I'll get back to the client another time," or "I'll go to that interview another time" or "I'll go on that date now - not right now".

Then you feel like after 30 days, or if you want to go for a couple of months, whenever you feel like it, then I'm going to invite you to burn. If you've done it on your computer, print it out and burn it; you can keep the file or you can delete the file. Sometimes it's helpful today to refer back and go, "Oh my gosh, I cannot believe I was saying these things to myself every day. That is so unkind" or "Wow," and it helps you really stay clear.

Then it's time to rewrite your story. Write that love letter to yourself, to your thoughts. This will create new, healthy emotions and feelings in your body and will get you feeling more inspired and creating healthy habits because it really is about healthy habits. Our environment can really, really support that. k

There also needs to be a deep sense of trust that things are going to work out as they should. There's a higher power of play and if certain things don't come into the physical form, perhaps they were not meant to. If things don't happen within the timeframe you wish, then ultimately trust that the timing will be for the highest good. It's like you're going somewhere and you keep getting red lights and then you don't get to go to the place you wanted to. But it's really, really trusting, "Aha, that wasn't even meant to happen," or "Oh, I see. That was right. All those red lights that I got," or whatever it was that stopped you from doing that thing, you get the clarity afterwards. "Oh, I wasn't supposed to do it, I wasn't supposed to be there.".

Being present in life is so vitally, vitally important. If you're always looking to create your future, then you really are missing out on the gifts in the present moment. When we are in that present moment when we're connecting with the beloved or connecting with ourselves, we're smelling a fresh flower, we're feeling ourselves fully present at the moment. That's where the magic happens. That's where the gratitude happens. That's where the higher vibration happens. And that is the point of magic. We've done our work in the quantum physics world. We've dealt we're doing our work emotionally, physically, mentally, and environmentally. When we get to be in the present moment, that is where the magic happens.

So you ask yourself, "Who am I now, and what do I want my present experience to be like on a spiritual, emotional, and mental level?" That's a really, really powerful question to ask yourself.

I invite you to step fully into your sovereignty in your life and home. Set really healthy boundaries. Things that support you to live a high vibrational life. Say 'no' when you need to, say 'yes' when you need to, speak your truth, live this most authentic path, and those that don't align with it - is there alignment? Do you really want them in your lives?

That's when you fully accept that embrace who you are and you just walk and breathe and live and act from a place of authenticity and truth. Those that really vibe with you will stick around. They'll still be around. They will align with you as clients, friends, and relationships.

Most importantly, be your own best friend because if not, who will? Do not abandon yourself under any circumstances; hold yourself sacred in every moment. I love that I am my own best friend - I am my own best friend. So we come from this filled up well, and then we can be that, that most wonderful expression of ourselves. It helps us step into this space of gratitude, gratitude for what we have in this present moment, and gratitude for what we're ready to align with.

Feel the energy of being grateful. Keeping your thoughts positive can be hard. It's easier when things are flowing in our lives, but when not, we tend to be hard on ourselves. Human makeup is to survive, and therefore when the thoughts go to fight or flight mode, it's on autopilot. It's really powerful to have that awareness when you recognize that you're in fight or flight mode, and there also is falling and there's folding; whatever's going on in the present, we just fold. There's fight and you can run, and there's flight. But there's also fawning, where we just amuse to get ourselves through something. We bow to another when it's not authentic or there's folding when we just fold, it's like we're stagnant.

To reprogram your mind is to start with the simple concept of gratitude, and then gratitude grows over time and becomes an auto-response in place of fear. Awareness goes is where energy flows.

Daily practices. Close your eyes before you go to sleep and visualize yourself stepping into the feelings and emotions and experiences of what you're ready to align within your life. It's so important that you feel into it. We talk about that placebo effect; there are athletes that will train every day and then there are some athletes that will train, but they'll also sit in meditation and visualize themselves winning the race, the Olympics, whatever it may be - And they're the ones that win.

They are the ones that win because it's when we get into that mindset, it's even been proven now that, for example, there are two people that work hard, but the one that visualizes doing the weights and things like that, their muscles form bigger and stronger. It's so, so powerful.

Detach from the outcome and surrender, and trust. When we go into these worlds of quantum physics and we start creating, we really want to surrender and trust.

We talked about the divine timing that it didn't happen, it was because it wasn't meant to. If we can just really trust that what's meant to align, will align. That's why having that awareness, following that golden thread, following when we're in that divine flow, then we're not forcing, we're not pushing, those limiting beliefs are getting busted through. Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.

It is your job to meet the universe halfway by taking action to the best of your ability. Let's just say you want to create something in your career and you're going to that world of quantum physics and you're seeing yourself very successful - Wonderful. But that isn't just enough. You have to be willing then - in the 3D, in the human physical form, to take action; what are the steps that need to be taken in order for that? Or do you want to step into a new relationship, like, are you going to be willing to put yourself out there on a date or wherever it may be? Perhaps in friendships to make more friends; are you willing to put yourself out there? Knowing that it's okay to say 'no' and that only you know what you deserve and what you will accept. Be honest with yourself, fully step into knowing on a core level what it is that you deserve. Trust in the divine timing of it all.

Let's look at our environment. The Law of Attraction Feng Shui - 33.3, and a third, 33, and a third of the Law of Attraction depends on your home environment. A home that emanates you being worthy, the home is an outside reflection of how we feel on the inside.

Give gratitude to your home and speak kindly to it. How do you feel about your home when you see it? How do you feel about your home when you step into it? Does it emanate joy? Does it emanate what that is that you're ready to align with, is it reflecting that? Let's go through some things.
How does the overall energy of your home feel? Is it of a high vibration? Do you feel inspired when you step into it? Do you feel like you're receiving a hug? It is really, really important to have a home that you thrive in, that those answers are 'yes,' that you feel amazing when you step into your home; you feel safe, you feel inspired, no matter what's going on in the world, you feel good in your space.

In Feng Shui, we see the home as the microcosm of the macrocosm, like a smaller-scale representation of the external world. So many aspects of the home will tell us a lot about what's going on in our lives. This also means that we can use our homes to affect the desired changes we want to have in our lives.

The more you study and apply Feng Shui in your life, the more you realize that it's all about being able to identify the areas that are out of balance so you can bring them back into a state of harmony. If you step into your home, hoping that your spirits rise and that you feel amazing. But if not, why not? Because if you step into your home and the energy is pulling you down, well, then it's going to be very hard to maintain that high vibration in order to align with that, those things that you're ready to step into.

In some ways, your home can be used as a large vision board to create and attract anything that you wish to align with, manifest, become, to express in your life. You want your home to be a reflection of all that inspires you. It's about only having what you truly and deeply, deeply love, need, and use. It's about consciously creating and inviting space for yourself where you - and when I say you, I mean all that are living in your space, but I do mean you as well. A lot of the time I find that the caretaker of the home isn't doing this but is a top priority because if you do that, then you're filled up and you can be your absolute best, most incredible, sacred self to support your family, your friends, your clients, your students, whatever it may be once you're filled up. But if you're coming from an empty, you know, well, you're no use to anybody.

It's all about consciously creating the space for the life that you want to live; creating a home that invites you to rise up and constantly be inspired. A home that embraces all that makes you happy and joyful.

Feng Shui like everything else in our lives is ever-changing. We must, therefore, make sure we continuously revisit our spaces and make sure they're fully aligned with what we're wanting to bring into our lives at that particular moment. As seasons change, as we evolve, our homes must do so. And of course, we know that we have our annual flying stars, we have our monthly flying stars. We know that people that come into our spaces leave specific energy. If we have colds if we're not feeling well like we know how all of these different things can affect us. Improve your home and you will think, feel and act differently.

Healthy habits, feeling Inspired, and a good night's sleep, which we've talked about how important that is. We may not have control of all the places we go to on a daily basis, such as retail stores, the library, and hair salons. However, we have the ability to create a sacred, beautiful, nurturing space for ourselves. When we take the time to truly create that for ourselves, we are saying, "I truly love myself and I am deserving - I am deserving".

Feng Shui teaches you that your home is a reflection of your emotions, your internal feelings displayed in the physical environment that surrounds you. When you've had a hectic day or week, chances are that the part of your home is going to reflect that; things are messy, things get cluttered, things are dirty, there are piles of dishes, and there are piles of mail. And then, you notice, as soon as you clean all that up in your space, it's just like, "Oh, I can breathe. I feel better!" Resting your beautiful self is very important as well. Maybe you'll see it reflected in piles of laundry, accumulation of dirty dishes or stacks, and a lot of mail, as I mentioned.

When you take some time to organize your home and take care of pending tasks, you feel refreshed, energized, and ready to take on the things that you have been postponing. This is what we're talking about having really healthy habits, having things in place, and having things organized.

When life does get busy, we're set up and our home can support us. Our homes can be a sacred container for healthy habits, thoughts, and emotions, and create a life in which we can thrive. So there are three types of Chi in Feng Shui.

We have our heavenly Chi, which is the Divine Chi - it's synchronicity, it's our connection to the spiritual realm. It's our soul. It's our soul's journey. It's our destiny. That heavenly Chi is that destiny that we're born in.

There are three types of Chi that we look at. There's the Heavenly Chi, and then we have our Human Chi. We are the connectors connected between heaven and earth, which is our thoughts, our feelings, our beliefs, our habits, and our patterns. When you work on improving your human Chi aligned with your heavenly Chi, you will attract your greatest dreams, basically. Then we have our earthy Chi. This is the best way to enhance your Earth destiny is through Feng Shui and your home environment.

As you cultivate the Earth and Human Chi, it's important that we have a deep connection with the land. If we're always in this place of creation and inspiration, it's vital that it also flows from the earth and up through us, and radiates out. If we're just connecting from our crown up, then we're only connecting that part of us. But what about our whole physical body? What about our connection to the Earth? Our homes can also support this deep connection to the land, and to the Earth by bringing nature inside, which we'll talk more about, but creating spaces that are more indoor and outdoor where the natural light, the fresh air is coming in.

Be a co-creator with your home; Feng Shui it, and let it be in full alignment with your deepest heart's desires. Pay attention to the words that you think and speak, as well as the art and the words that are being displayed around your home.

Your home is a source of inspiration. We spend up to 80% of our time inside. Positive affirmations and messages and reminders throughout our home are so, so, so important. What is your artwork? What are your statues? How is the furniture aligned? What about the beauty, the colors, and everything that's in your home? Is it representing, or raising your vibration?

Believe in your goals and surround yourself with empowering images to reinforce your belief, to make sure that your environment reminds you or empowers you to achieve your goals. Only invite beloveds into your home that you really feel an alignment with.

Be authentic, speak your truth. If it didn't feel right, then be clear about maybe not having them back into your space. This is your sacred space - be empowered in your home and in your life.

Healthy boundaries are vital in our homes. How we can express healthy boundaries in our lives is by saying 'no,' saying 'no' to demands on you, and being honest about it. How we can express that in Feng Shui, in our homes is having a fence all around, the boundaries of our home, having an entrance gate. It's not like everybody enters all the time. There's a boundary there - It's a healthy boundary. You can still have a very beautiful and very welcoming. You want a solid front door. These are all things that are symbolic and practical suggestions to start creating healthy boundaries inwardly and outwardly.

Another way to really be in your sovereignty, in life, in your home is being in your power position in your home, supporting you to step into empowerment in your life. Having a solid wall behind you is for support and strength. So being able to see the door is empowering and inspiring. So knowing your Trigram, and having the support of the heavenly energies moving forward in your life.

We have another class on knowing what your Trigram is, but depending on what your Trigram is, you've got specific best directions to sleep in, to work in, to eat, and to sit in. If you know your personal Trigram, and you set yourself up in a power direction where you get the Heavenly Chi support and you are supported from behind, you then leave yourself in a very empowered, and inspiring position in life.

Having a beautiful view that inspires you if there's not a natural, beautiful view, create it with art and flowers and you know, if you don't have a beautiful view at your window, put window flower boxes there - do things to create that beauty.

For the bedroom, we've talked about the importance of a good night's sleep. And our relationships. The bedroom emanates, and should really represent rest and romance in our lives. The bedroom is all about rest, romance, and a good night's sleep. Is your bedroom reflecting healthy habits? Do you bring your computer in there?

Do you have your phone next to your bed when you're sleeping? Are these healthy habits, having these items by your head? They're just like an invitation to just reach out first thing in the morning before you've taken that time to connect with your higher self.

Is your bedroom representing and reflecting healthy habits? Is it setting up beautiful night rituals, dimmer switches, and no EMF? No TV in there? It's a little personal choice. If you love having the TV, turn it off, choose what you mindfully, what you watch, have a dimmer switch, and create a space where you can meditate before sleep.

Ideal positioning. You're in a power position, so you are supported to thrive and to have a good night's sleep for intimacy, for communication; sleep in a position and direction that supports deep rejuvenation. That's when our body heals or rejuvenates when we sleep.

A bed under a window is not supporting. Ideally, we want to have a solid wall. Don't sleep near EMFs. This is all-knowing that you deserve. Beds, placed at angles aren't as comfortable; there's too much Chi. The mirrors across the bed, or beside the bed, there's too much energy. We want our space to reflect self-love, nourishment, and nurturement.

The size of the bed matters. Having a bed that's big enough to support two of you or, whatever amount and comfort and good night's sleep, and we want the energy to be able to flow. We'd rather not have things underneath our beds. Ideally, we want a really good night's sleep, so solid wooden headboard, these metal ones are very Yang, so we want wood, which is very grounding.

It's ideal that we see our reflections, whether it's above or whether it's at the side of the base, we've talked about no TV in there. And again, in relationships, is it supporting healthy habits, or can you set up really healthy rules, like, "No, we don't bring that in." We really want to, again create healthy habits, with having work; if you work at home and or if you do your own business from home, from your personal life and if you've got your desk in your bedroom, like and is there another option of where the desk can go?

If there really isn't, if you just rent a room or there's only one bedroom and it's the only location, that's where healthy boundaries come in; you stop working at a certain hour, you put everything away because you don't want to be sleeping and laying down in your bed looking at bills and to-do lists, and everything.

Choose artwork that represents the love - the love that you want to have. Have only artwork that is going to support you. If it's a relationship that you want, make sure to have things in pairs. If it's a balanced relationship that you want, make sure the room and the home is reflecting that.

In the bedroom, if things are on dimmers, are there things that let your body unwind to create a more romantic feel? New sheets; use the sheets, the pyjamas, get yourself fresh flowers, all the things that represent self-love. Create a separation between your personal life, and work life.

If I have to go into the kitchen, can it be completely closed up? Beams aren't good to sleep under and often can lead to separation between couples. Covering that with something soft, billowing fabric or something, is a way to create more of a supportive space.

Letting go of the old to make space for the new is really, really, really important in Feng Shui. Having an environment that's clean and clear raises our vibration. We get a home that's of a high frequency and then our inner frequency is vibrating high as well giving a lot more clarity. Only having what you deeply love, need, and use in your space.

Releasing clutter. If something makes you feel bad, sad, low vibe, it's time to let it go. Make space for what raises you up. Release any fear of the unknown when you let go of something with the knowledge that you are being provided for. Things start to appear in a much more synchronistic way. Let go of things from your home and life that lower your vibration.

Lessen your screen time on social media, and television. Again. It's good to know what's going on in the world, but if you're somebody that tracks media, and social media all day long, all of that is not necessarily authentic.
If you're watching the news and - I'd like to know what's going on in the world, and I would like to make a difference where I can, but constantly filling up your thoughts, your energy body, your head with just really depressing media all day long is not going to be supportive for you living a high vibe.

Clear the heavy clutter that weighs you down, and make space for your love in your life. Just because you inherited it does not mean you have to keep it. The kitchen represents health and how we move and how we feel in our bodies. You can just tell by looking at these images, which are of a higher vibration. Same with the bedroom; when it's decluttered, it supports a good night's sleep and Intimacy in our relationships. You could tell who has a clearer mind and who feels better in their body. Looking at these images.

Clutter in the bathroom causes us to have a lack of attention to our physical bodies. The clutter in the garage represents how we move forward in life. Clutter in the wallet represents abundance flowing in. Clearing out all the expired gift vouchers, expired cards, and old receipts. Clutter in the car represents blocking the movement and flow.

"Out of clutter, find simplicity," very smart man, Albert Einstein.

"Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believed to be beautiful," William Morris.

Let your home and life be a masterpiece. A divine expression of your soul. Only have art that lifts your spirits. And that aligns with who you are and where you want to go. When you look at your art, you want it to lift you up and inspire you. What is your artwork reflecting your home? Just notice how you feel when you look at these images. Are they lifting you up? Are they supporting, you? No.

Now, they may help somebody move through a time of grief and be supportive, but when somebody moves through that and they're ready to move forward, these pieces are not going to support and align. This kind of represents creating storminess in life. This represents feeling stuck in life. How does this make you feel when you look at this piece? How does this make you feel when you look at this piece?

It's about becoming really, really attuned to - and authentically, your heart's desires, but also how something feels as your body speaks to you, as consciousness in your body speaks to you.

Be mindful of the energies coming in from neighbors. We use a mirror remedy or Archangel Michael or some kind of protective deity. As we talked about, healthy boundaries and having your space defined. It doesn't mean your home can be welcoming and you're not loving. It just means that you've got healthy boundaries and you're clear.

Bringing colors that inspire you, that light you up, that bring you joy. The home is for you, you, and your family. You, nature, nature, nature. Bring flowers everywhere. They bring joy, beauty, and a deep sense of knowing that you deserve. And maybe it's the flowers for you, but maybe it's candles, maybe it's an essential oil, maybe it's all of the above. But invest in yourself, beloved, because you are worth it.

Nature heals us. Bring nature into and around your home. Herbs, plants. The more ‘nature’ and ultra materials we have in our home, the more it supports our connection with nature and nature heals, nature invites us into alignment, and nature invites us to blossom and to expand and to root; it is just our guide. Bring nature inside, but also spend time outside. It's good for the heart, it's good for the soul.

Healthy foods in the kitchen have fresh veggies and fruit in sight that the frequency of good choices and happens to resonate throughout your entire home. When our home is dark and not welcoming, will support a life where you can thrive? If a home is continually dark, this can bring in lower vibrations; you can start to feel depressed. Bring as much natural light as possible - open up the curtains, open up the windows. Like, let the fresh air, the fresh Chi flow around the space.

By implementing classical Feng Shui, we're moving all the lower vibrations out of space. If there are locks, if the house isn't as supportive as we like, if there are combinations all throughout the house like everybody has them in their home.

We're bringing classical Feng Shui. We're going to remove the lower vibrations and we're going to enhance all the positive vibrations. When you've got a choice and you're creating a home or finding your home, of course, Wang Shan Wang Shui (WSWS) is good, and when we analyze the flying stars, we're mainly focusing on the permanent numbers, not the annual - which the annual comes to everybody's home.

The front door. Ideally, if we're looking for a space, should be in the direction of the main breadwinner, the main person in the home. The sitting direction of the house also is important because the sitting direction defines the element that the house is and it tells us who it really supports in the space and also how we can support the house. Depending on the direction that it sits. If it sits in the north, it's a water house; so blues and whites, which are metal, feed water.

Self-care equals self-love. When you walk into your home, make sure that you feel peaceful. It feels peaceful and it feels happy and it feels supportive for you. Your home is a space to relax, decompress, and also have fun and do the things that you love. Create a home to support the intentions of self-care and peace.

Creativity -maybe it's an arts and crafts room, maybe a spiritual practice and meditation room. Is your home reflecting that for you? Is your home set up to create healthy habits, like you'd like to do Epsom salt baths? The Epsom salts are there and the essential oils are there or you have a diffuser to diffuse these beautiful smells that improve your mood.

Have you created space in your home for self-love? Are you willing to spend on yourself to buy the Epsom salts, to buy the essential oils to buy the flowers? Are you willing to invest in yourself?

Have you had to work area ready to go that's just beckoning you to call? It doesn't mean you have to have a room for work, and if there's an extra room where you can set it up, in the garage or outside or somewhere that feels good to you, great! But if not, in the living room; have it open that easily - you can have it as the living room, but easily, your exercise things are there or invest in a really nice gym or wherever it is, something that is creating healthy habits and that is equaling self-love.

Create a meditation and altar area. Crystals - bring beautiful crystals into your home. Talk about connecting with nature and raising the frequency in your home. Bring beautiful crystals into your space.

Create a space where there's always space to dance. If music and dance are what you love, have a really good stereo. Have surround sound, whatever it is that is going to feed you, your soul, and your family. Do you have areas to spend time with your family and play games? Is that setup? If art brings you joy, have you created a sacred space for your art or creative room?

Creating daily rituals and blessings in your home is absolutely vital space caring to make sure you've got nice high vibration. Do you make sure to regularly space clear your home?
Create a vision board and place it in your power direction on your wall. Hang it somewhere private just for you to see, and be inspired by every day and remind you of your intentions.

The Northwest, the north direction of our home we know is like that destiny area; it's where that destiny Chi flows in. We notice heaven's gates and it's also supportive for helpful people and supportive of bringing in a higher power. It's a great location to place a new vision board and the north area.

We really want to keep the northwest area as clear as possible. We don't put trash cans there, we do clutter there on the outside. We want to create beauty on the inside. We want to make sure the energy can flow.

Intentional Feng Shui is so, so important when we look at the Bagua next. Intentional Feng Shui is so, so powerful. It supports you to honor every area of your life and get to really get clear on what that looks and feels like. In Intentional Feng Shui, we work with symbology, affirmations, artwork, crystals, and essential oils; the nine areas in your home and each of the nine areas represent an area in your life. Each direction of the center space is related to a specific area in your life. Let's make our way through it.

What you do is you get your floor plan, and you divide it by nine. You put in your directions and then with that, you write what all these different sectors are. Let's start with the southeast, which is our wealth and prosperity area. You get to create your own sacred space here. This is such a powerful and beautiful opportunity. You divide your home up, and it can be the southeast area of a room, and one room can be divided, or your entire space. If you work from a home, you could also just divide your home office by nine as well and create the intentional Feng Shui nine areas just in your office space as well.

I ask you, what is it that brings you into this place of abundance? When I mean abundance, I mean prosperity, I mean financial abundance. But I mean abundance, love, abundance and health, and fulfillment. All of that represents abundance. I have a statue of Lakshmi right there. She is the Hindu goddess of abundance. But for some, it may just be fresh flowers. It can be the money tree - the money tree with the braided base to it. Also, you can use crystals. Amethysts and there are lots of other crystals that represent wealth - Jade and Green Aventurine, but Amethyst is really powerful.

The next thing that I invite you to do in the Southeast is written your affirmations. I just gave a couple of examples here, but what for you are you ready to fully align with when it comes to wealth, abundance, and prosperity? Wealth enables me to express my creative potential. Money and prosperity help me to help others. I am a trust fund baby of the universe. I'm totally open and receptive to the abundant flow of prosperity that the universe offers. I'm going to invite you to write your own affirmations. Go to your southeast corner, and is it representing abundance?

Then we have the south which represents how you share your light with the world. They call it the fame and reputation area. But it's really about how you're seen in the world, how you want to share your light in the world; what is that? You can put certificates, diplomas, and PhDs there. You can put your business card there. What is it? How do you want to share your light in the world? How do you want to show up in the world? How do you want to be known in the world? And how can that be expressed in the south area of your home?

Beautiful crystals there are Citrine and Amber which are beautiful to bring to the south area, but any kind of fiery reddish, even Amethyst can be used as well, is great to enhance that. Then I'm going to invite you to write your affirmations. I've given some examples, but really they can be anything from two lines to 22 pages. As long as you want, just put them in the present tense. And when you go into that meditation that we did earlier, where you connect with that pure Source energy and you get to co-create and align from that place, let your affirmations be written from that place.

Not, "Oh yeah, I want to be seen this way in the world," but it's like from this place of feeling as if you're already living it and thinking it and breathing it in this world of quantum physics. Then you can bring it into a tangible way in the physical realm.

The Southwest is all about love, relationships and marriage, and the relationships out in the world. I love the peonies and they're in season right now. In the summer, they're flourishing. But it can be anything that represents love to you. It can just be two roses or it's improving relationships in general. I love that little statue, little clay statues of them all holding hands. I love Kwan Yin, she's the goddess of love and compassion; you can bring photos - what is it to you that represents love and what relationships would you like to enhance and step deeper into? Rose Quartz is the ultimate love healing the heart stone. Turquoise, and again Jade, and there are so many beautiful Malachites, and then rose is essential oil. You can infuse that, you can wear that, you can put that on your heart.

I experience happy, healthy, loving relationships. My perfect partner is kind, patient, and loving. My partner and I are experiencing a deeply loving and mutually respectful relationship filled with good communication, passion, and joy. Get really, really clear. Write your love letter to whatever relationships in your life that you're ready to deepen more authentically.

The West is about creativity, children, fertility, synchronicities, your own inner child, what you want to create in the world, your creative expression in the world, whether it be to art or writing or dance or singing or graphic design; whatever your creative potential that wants to be seen and heard and expressed, let that be expressed in your home.

How can you do that - It's also fertility areas and pomegranates are powerful for that - how can you express creative potential in your home? Citrine is great! Saraswati, the Hindu goddess of creation, and creativity. Then write your affirmations.

The next one that we have is the Northwest, are heaven's gates. But it's not just that, it represents helpful people. It represents synchronicities and life; being in the right place at the right time with the right people and travelling.

If you want to travel the world or you want things to be more global or you want your company to go more global, you and expand internationally, whatever that looks like, put globes, maps, books of where it- you want to travel or what that looks like. If you want more support, you know, from an angelic realm, from a physical realm like we really want to pronounce on our home, we want to see that. When we walk by that, we're sitting in it in that northwest sector, we feel that we vibrate at that frequency.

Turquoise is a great gem. What are its affirmations? I accept that which I choose to experience in my life, which is having an abundance of helpful people to help me whenever the need arises. And for this, I'm truly grateful. The North is all about your life's path, your soul's journey, your life's journey, and your career. What does that look like? How can you express that in your home? What is it you want to step into in that?

Again, it could be your PhDs, your master’s, or your certificates up on the wall, Black Obsidian or Black Tourmaline are wonderful crystals, but this is your soul's journey area, so how can you express that creatively in your home? I'm grateful that I'm attracting the perfect opportunities and circumstances to have a career or a job that is fulfilling, that is financially rewarding, that inspires me. What was what would that look like? What would that sound like?

The northeast direction of your home. That whole northeast section is all about wisdom, meditation, and self-cultivation. How can this be expressed in your home, in your life? What are your truest heart's desires? It's a great place for a library. It's a wonderful place - And all of your homes are a spiritual expression.

There is no separation, like 'this is the corner for it,' but it is also a great corner to have your altar, to have your meditation practice. Ideally, depending on where in the hemisphere you are, but we like to meditate or sit at our altar facing East because that's where the sun rises; it's that new energy.

Crystals that support that are your Clear Quartz, which is great for opening your consciousness. I am completely in tune with the "I am" presence of the divine within me. I trust my intuition with a deep sense of security. I follow my intuition where it leads, and I always find gifts that evolve my soul.

We have our East, which is our soul family, our family, our community. You know, We put photos of friends and family. We put our family album, our family crest, whatever that is that represents it. It could be fresh flowers that represent your community. Jade is very good for the family - Jade is the older all-around gem, as you can tell. I am grateful for my loving community of like-minded souls. I feel supported, connected, and loved.

Then we have our center, which is all to do with health and unity and self-love and self-expression. What can we put in the center of our homes? A bowl of fresh fruit represents health. Fresh flowers represent 'I deserve,' 'I love,' and 'my self-love has been expressed by the beauty and the bounty of these beautiful flowers' like reminders - Take care of your beautiful self. You consciously create healthy habits.

You put the time aside for self-care, to the spa, to the gym, for the massages, whatever it is that is your form of self-care, yoga, meditation, jumping in the seas, spending time with friends, growing vegetables, being in the soil with the land, going out for walks in nature, whatever that is. Let that reflect in your environment and make space for inside and outside of your home. In the center, Amber are Carnelian are very powerful crystals. Affirmations. We can sit with this. These need to come from your heart and your soul. All the cells in my body are daily bathed in the perfection of my divine being. I'm healthy, I'm happy, I'm radiant.

Feng Shui for the Bedroom and Love

When we're talking about Feng Shui for love and supporting self-love, all relationships are intimate loving relationships for ones that we're getting ready to align with and call in and share our lives with or our present relationships.

The first area and main area we are going to look at is the bedroom. All areas of the home are important, but when it comes to talking about Feng Shui for love, the bedroom is really important.

    Correct bed positioning

First of all, bed positioning, in order for us to have a really good night's sleep. When we wake up after a good night's sleep, we wake up feeling better, everything is brighter in our lives, and everything feels easier. Therefore and most importantly, in Feng shui, we would start with the bed position.

I'd love to go over these. The most important things to keep in mind when we're positioning our bed, based on your year of birth, are specific directions that come. But also, we're going to talk about the most important things to keep in mind.

Number one is: we don't want to be sleeping in line with the door. Let's just say, for example, that's a solid wall, and we could put the headboard there. However, that way, we're getting what we would say in Feng Shui is "kind of getting hit with that Sha," there's Chi, which is good energy, and there's Sha, which is not good energy. Stuck or stagnant energy. If we're sleeping in line with the door, we're getting hit by a lot of energy. When the energy enters, it's much better than the headboard is right here up against a solid wall, so the energy isn't hitting it. We'd really love to sleep with a solid wall; In Feng Shui, we would call this the 'mountain support,' and having that solid wall behind us when we sleep at night gives us that support to sleep really well.

Ideally, again, we'll talk about this because we don't want to sleep under windows and other things, but I'm just talking about if we have a solid wall. For example, If we have a solid wall that is at an angle, it is not recommended. The reason for that is there's a lot of energy moving above the headboard. We really want to be up against a solid wall because if there is a lot of energy here, it makes it harder to sleep. It's almost like energy swirling around our heads at night while we are trying to sleep at night.

This would be a good position right here. You're not directly in line with the door, and the beds moved over. We'd rather the bed is positioned, if possible, depending on the room. All rooms are different. We should try to center it on the wall, if possible. Another option, for example, was all windows, so let's say this was the only option. Then we would just move it over here, not directly in line with the door.

This kind of bed position is a perfect position. For example, if somebody is trying to move forward in life or if somebody was ready to leave home, and they want to have that energy to support them where they're not as comfortable in their space. They're kind of positioning, exiting the door. There's a lot of energy above their head. I wouldn't recommend this for a long time, but if it was a short window where somebody was trying to get momentum going, I've seen a lot of people for a very short term. Position their head towards this way for opportunities to come in, so they can move or whether they want to travel, get a job or meet somebody. For the long term, I suggest a nice solid wall there.

So we don't recommend beds under windows, because we want to have that solid support. We really want to make sure. So there are a couple of things that are not great in this photo. One is we would rather sit up and look out the window, but, especially, in this case, these windows look a lot older. So there are drafts coming in, and then having glass above your head is not ideal. We want to have a solid wall. I would rather be across from a window if possible.

Sometimes I have been in a lot of spaces where people don't even actually have an option, and they have to go up against a window. What I would suggest - and I always suggest this anyway, but - we've got a solid wooden headboard, and if you think about our meditation at the start, the wood is the tree with the roots going deep into the earth. The reason why we'd ideally love to have a wooden headboard is it's very calming when we sleep at night, because, for example, metal is a very high-energy element; it makes it hard to sleep at night, whereas a solid wooden headboard is very grounding. It had its roots going deep into the earth. It's a very soft and gentle element to have - a solid wooden headboard, and if you had to be under a window, then I would suggest really heavy, thick curtains, like velvet curtains, and a big, strong wooden headboard, and that would help a lot. If that's the only option you have, which is the case, sometimes all three walls have windows.

It's also really important that we don't sleep near electrical boxes or EMF. A lot of time, they aren't positioned in the bedroom. However, if there is, where the electricity's trip switch, and all that, is on the box, we want to make sure that if that is in the only available room that we have to sleep in, that our headboard is as far away from that as possible. It can lead to headaches and even more intense things if we're sleeping too close to it.

As I was saying, a bed at an angle makes it less comfortable and encourages movement and change. It's really important when we're lying down that we can't see our own reflection. If you think about a gym or something, there are walls of mirrors, which makes it really Yang and really active. We've got Yin and Yang. Yin is the night, the peaceful, the soft, the more feminine, and the Yang is the daytime, and it's the sun, it's the more masculine energy.

In the bedrooms, we look at the mirror as being a very Yang element. You can have a mirror in your bedroom; the main thing is you don't want to be able to see your reflection when you're lying down. In Feng Shui, it makes it harder to sleep at night. Also, whatever the mirror sees, it energizes it, so the more I'd say the 'superstitious side' of Feng Shui says that it can invite another partner into a relationship - like a third partner - into a relationship. Mirrors are fine as long as you can't see your own reflection when lying down.

A lot of the time, you see these completely mirrored closet doors. For me personally, that would make it really hard to sleep at night because of that amount of Yang energy. Simple things that you can do is sometimes closet doors can be turned around, and there's wood on the back; you can get these strips of frosting that will soften the mirrors, you can hang linen, and you can remove them. It just depends if somebody owns a home or rents a home because it's going to make a big difference in what you implement and how you do it. I love the strips I was telling you about. They're fantastic because they're really inexpensive, and if you're renting, you can just peel them off if that's what they want afterward.

The next thing, or ideally, we don't want to be storing things under the bed. A bed like this is not really recommended, or the beds that come with drawers, because what happens is we tend to pile a load of clutter down there because they tend to be deeper drawers, bigger drawers, and we tend to stuff, stuff down there. The thing is, the bedroom, the things with the bedroom, are only really for rest and romance. That's the most important thing the bedroom is for.

Having loads of clutter and stuff under the bed makes it really hard to sleep at night, and depending on what's under there can cause a lack of sleep. It's also kind of uncomfortable sleep, or there's a lot of dreaming, depending on what's down there. For a good night's sleep and to allow good energy flow, which is really important for health, we want to make sure there's nothing underneath the bed.

So I chatted a little bit about that. This is a good example of a nice solid wall over the headboard, but as I mentioned, ideally, we'd rather not have a metal headboard. This one with the railings kind of gives the impression of like this jail kind of feeling, and we definitely do want to give that energy. In Feng Shui, metal is a very high-energy element. So if we have that running through our beds, at our headboard and everything, it makes it really hard for us to sleep at night.

    Relationships

The next thing is that I'll always talk about in Feng Shui, and I think most of us know the importance of clutter. And we'll talk more about that, but right now, for those who are single and would like to come into a relationship or for somebody who would like to deepen their present relationship, it's really important that we let go of things from the past relationships. Now, this doesn't mean completely letting go of your past. Definitely not saying that, But for example, if you've got lots of love letters from the past or from past relationships, it's like, in some way, that you're still holding on. It's not really giving space for your present relationship or for you to align and bring somebody in to share your life with.

It's a really amazing process because what a lot of people share is they start clearing these stuff, and they cannot believe how much they've got; or somebody who was previously married, how they might even still have their wedding ring or a wedding tux or dress or something still in their closet.

It's not like you have to completely erase everything from the past, but there is definitely the importance of not keeping everything that will kind of energetically keep you stuck in that relationship and won't let you move forward. If it is anything that is not serving you, and especially something that was from a relationship that maybe wasn't very good, it's bringing energy into the space. That's a really important, important place to start. It doesn't cost anything but just to start going through things.

If you're having a hard time releasing things, you have to ask yourself, 'why?' Like, 'okay, this relationship is done. It's been done for however long. Why am I having a hard time releasing this?' This is a really good self-reflection, soul question to ask yourself, like, 'what is it about this?' Or 'what is it that I want to hold on to this?' It's really powerful. Same thing with photos. I think that's really hard because we're in all the photos - a lot of the photos.

If we've traveled, we've gone to places with people from these past relationships. What I would say is if you got a whole load of very similar pictures from that same trip, maybe you can minimize it because we want to free up energy. We want to make space and make space for the new.

Things that you may have been given; presents that you were given. I think one thing that's really important is that - again, I'm not saying you have to let go of every single thing - but sometimes, let's say, for example, we have a bracelet or a special tie or something that an ex-partner had given us. One thing that's really important is to hold it and see what it ignites, how you feel when you look at it, when you hold it when you touch it, because for some people, it makes them sad or it reminds them of that person, or that's all they can think about.

Some people say, 'Well, I just like the tie,' or 'I just like the bracelet, and if that is really true for you, then maybe you can energetically clear it. You just have to make sure that you are being really, really true because these gifts and these items hold a lot of energy, and it just really depends if you do want to move forward and if you do want to bring in something new or if you do want to deepen that present relationship.

    Making space

We'll be talking about making space; the closet is a really important part. In life, I think people's lives are so full nowadays. People's lives are busy, and the home does reflect that. And in this case, if we look at this closet, it's full to the brim. If somebody, let's say, were single and wanted to invite somebody into their life. It's kind of like saying, 'Well, I've got no space; I've got no room .'What I would suggest, and it's a powerful, powerful practice, but going through your entire closet and if you haven't worn something in a year, just really think, 'do I still need this, use it, and love it?'

Like, these are really good questions. 'Do I need it, do I use it, and do I love it?' That's kind of your mantra as you go through your home. 'Do I need it, do I use it, do I love it?' And to keep that process going is really powerful. What I suggest that you do is actually make some space in your closet. Eight is a very auspicious number for Feng Shui, and it represents infinite abundance and joy. Having at least eight empty hangers and creating a space, maybe eight centimeters or eight inches or something, within your closet.

You're doing all this with intention. The power of intention is so powerful. It could be for your present relationship or to bring in that relationship. I'm making more space for my partner and me in our present relationship, or I am making space in my life, in my home, to align with this beloved. That doesn't necessarily mean that they're going to be moving in unless that's something you want. It's just saying, 'I am energetically making space in my life.' I think that's what's really important.

As far as our health and our well-being, the more clutter or things that we don't need to use and love that we release out of our home and our lives, then we create more space, we give ourselves more energy, and we create more abundance. It's such a powerful, powerful process. There you go, making some space, having some open hangers, and you are saying, 'I am making space in my life for you.'

Create space for a loving relationship

We want to create that loving space. Whether you're in a relationship or bringing that in, you know that saying 'Build a village and they will come,' well create that space so you can align with it because what I love so much about Feng Shui is how it truly is a reflection of how you're feeling internally. I've been in and out of over 30,000 homes in the last 20 years and helped people and supported people to step into an area of their life or areas of their life that they want to thrive in. And if you think about it, we spend up to 80% of our time inside, and what an effect our environment has on it, and when it is consciously created, how powerful that can be, how profoundly powerful that can be.

I invite you all to really look around your space, and is it reflecting who you are today? Where do you want to go in life? What do you want to align with? What do you want to bring into your life? Because a lot of the time, people are living in a home that is really reflecting the past, past relationships, and past experiences that they truly don't align with anymore.

It's a beautiful opportunity to release, let go and move forward, and experience in life what you're ready to experience. Create that environment. I think it's really powerful to sit with. Am I willing to create space for a loving relationship? Whether you're in a relationship or not, am I willing to create a space for a loving, caring, high-vibrational relationship?

Everything you'll be learning today is all these beautiful invitations for you to change things in your home. I'm going to ask you to really look at what changes you can make from what you've learned.

Clearing Electric Magnetic Fields in the Bedroom

Another thing is we really want to keep all the EMF, the electrical stuff out of the bedroom. Electric magnetic fields (EMF) are not really good for our bodies when we're sleeping at night. Bringing things like laptops, televisions, phones, and stuff like that is not ideal, especially if we're doing work. We want to keep work out of the bedroom. We don't want that to represent work. We want to have a space where we do our work and then a space that represents love and romance.

I suggest that we have some kind of charging station as far away from the bedroom as possible, where the laptops, phones, and everything go. The bedroom is for love and romance.

This is what happens when one starts bringing things into the bedroom, and it creates a disconnect, and when you could be intimate and sharing, and this can go either way, both people from both parties can have it in there that it's just saying "I'm not going to be present with you" and "I don't want to be intimate with you" or "I don't want to hear about your day" or that "I care."

We really want to have that really clear, especially for people who work from home and people who have their own businesses. It's almost like there isn't really an off switch, and that's important how we cultivate and create that in our environments. It's good to set yourself some hours, and it's good to have everything turned off.

If possible, and it's not always possible for everyone, it is to have a separate room that you do your work in, and then everything gets closed, and you close that door. If you can, If you're working from home, have that separation between your work and personal life. It's really important not to bring that into the bedroom.

    Have things in pairs

We want to have everything in our home that represents; I want to share my life with somebody. We want things that represent that. If everything is single, the number of homes I've been in and out of where people are single and would like to bring in a loving relationship and maybe aren't quite ready or getting ready, sometimes the number of single men or women around the space use statues and artwork, which did serve.

I think that's the most important thing. I always say it serves until it's not serving anymore because maybe they needed time to heal from a previous relationship; that's really important. Balance in the relationship is really important. That's why we always would bring things in pairs, and we want to create that space. If we've got nothing but single artworks around the space, it's going to lead to staying single.

It is really important that we look at everything in the bedroom and around the home. So, for example, if we have a nightstand on one side of our bed, we want to have a nightstand on the other. If we've got a light on one side, we want to have a light on the other because we're saying you matter; there's space for you. Just like we made space in the closet, it's the same thing in the bedroom. We want to look at the artwork. Is the artwork all of single people, or is it love? Is it a stormy artwork? And is that energy the energy we want to bring into the bedroom?

We want supportive artwork for love; it's really important. We want to step into the bedroom, and we want to exude love. We want the artwork and everything in pairs. We want it to feel romantic because by creating that space, we're creating that energy in there. What is that saying? Where the attention goes is where the energy flows. We want to flow in that direction.

We want to add artwork in the bedroom that represents love. This is just one example, this is the kiss, and it's a beautiful piece. What I love about it so much is the embrace between the pair of them. The love that you can feel when you look at this piece it's palpable, it's beautiful, but it's got to be an artwork that you love. It could even be a beautiful photo that you took of two flowers, something that represents love to you. Artwork is profoundly powerful when it comes to Feng Shui. When you think about it, it's going into your unconscious, subconscious mind all the time, and especially the artwork that is at the foot of your bed on the wall, because it's the first thing you see when you wake up in the morning and it's the last thing you see before you go to sleep at night. What a powerful, profound effect that artwork can have on you, so be really mindful about that piece of art you have when you wake up.

We don't really want to have family wall pictures in the bedroom. The simple fact is that when we are being intimate, we don't need every single family member staring at the wall at all, kids, whatever it is. To really enhance intimacy in relationships, we want to have all those family pictures out. If you're single and ready to bring in love, we want to bring in the artwork of love. If you're in a relationship and you just want to enhance and support it, bring in just photos and videos of you and your partner. Loving ones, joyful ones, intimate ones. You may even have ones from when you first met, but we want recent ones in there because, again, it's all about setting an intention in the room, and then things just create from there.

Importance of Theme in your Bedroom

We want to think about what the theme of the room is. So if we look at this image, it's way too much energy. There's a lot of energy here. What is good, though, is a nightstand on one side and one on the other, so we see that lovely balance of things in pairs. We've got a nice solid headboard, which is good.

I wouldn't suggest too much red in the bedroom because it can make it hard to sleep at night. It's a very Yang color. Good colors for the bedroom are really soft greens which are very grounding, or earth colors and just a little bit of red because it is the color for passion and romance.

We want to have statues as well that represent love and romance. We want to look at everything in our space and make sure we've got things that represent a loving relationship that's really going to support us. Yes, we were saying we wanted to keep the family pictures out of the room. We want a really grounding, centering color that will help us sleep better at night. It will be very calming for us, or anything in a really soft pastel color will work really well.

We want to make sure that the bedroom is not way too feminine or way too masculine, or should I say way too Yin or way too Yang. If you are single and it's very Yang, it's not going to be as comfortable for the feminine energy to come in. If a bedroom is way too feminine, it's not going to be comfortable.

If the room is like this, this would be very masculine energy, and it might be set up to be very welcoming for a couple. We want to create an environment that has a nice balance between the two, just like we don't want it to be feminine, too pink, too flowery, or too many hearts. We want to create this beautiful balance of energy.

As you can see in this room, we have a single woman in the room here, and we definitely wouldn't want some kind of light hanging down directly over that; that would make it hard for us to sleep at night as well.

Something that I think is so important, wherever you're at in your relationship, in your life, but even within our relationship with ourselves, a lot of the time I see this with clients, is that they keep beautiful bedding, beautiful nightwear, pajamas, lingerie or any of it. They keep it all for when they're in the relationship, but that's not the way it's done. It's coming into this place of self-love and bringing that into your own life for yourself or bringing that in presently. Bringing that into your own life for yourself or bringing it in presently, like all people that live in a drawer with a tag on it. We want to be self-loving, we want to create that beautiful romance, and we want to date ourselves. We want to be loving ourselves as well.

    Altars in your Room

It's also really important that alters are not in the bedroom. Again, I understand that sometimes people are living in a studio, so the workspace has to be in there, and the altar has to be in there. If you are, for example, and the office has to be in there, what I would suggest is just making sure that the desk is cleared at night, the laptop is closed down, no nills, no paperwork is left, and it is left really clean. Then you could maybe do some kind of beautiful silk or some kind of fabric over the laptop. It's like that's the way of closing the office door.

The same thing with the altar. The altar is our connection to the divine, our connection to the source. If you need to have the altar in the bedroom, we just don't want to have it where we again, kind of like the mirror where we can't see that we're laying down, because there are not just deities on there, we have deities and sacred objects. Again, they don't need to be staring at us when we're in bed. Even if it's off to the side and some altars have these beautiful doors to them, which is another option.

Altars are somewhere that we want to keep private in our homes because that's where we sit in sacred space and reflection. We give gratitude; we ask for guidance. We don't want it directly across from the bedroom; again, the bedroom is for rest and romance. I've gone into a lot of spaces where I go into rooms, and they're like temples. There are so many statues of deities, and it's like, is this bedroom where you want to rest and romance, or is this a temple? It is just a matter of making a shift and making another space for it, and asking yourself what is important to me right now and how can I create more balance and harmony in my space and in my life.

It's all about setting the mood; light those beautiful candles, don't wait to light those candles until you're in a relationship; just light that now and start creating that energy for yourself in your home, in your life. Then you're vibrating at that, and you align with that, and then you attract that, so that's what is really important. It's not that I'll do all that when I go on that trip when I meet someone. No, go do it now. Do it for yourself.

    Creating a Positive Atmosphere

Lighting is really important, so candles, I love to put a dimmer switch on the bedroom light because then you can just gently soften that light. Candles are beautiful, and any kind of romantic lighting that you can put in place, but also some kind of dimmer, is really good as well because having that natural preparation to get yourself to sleep at night is really important.

I love having lavender essential oils by the bed, but I also love roses because roses are for the heart, and having a rose, you can maybe diffuse it, you can diffuse lavender, but what a beautiful way of creating this energy in your bedroom and this really calming one as well to help you sleep. Rose Quartz is really beautiful to bring into the bedroom and heart, especially for healing the heart, for welcoming in love. You can do green Malachite; green Quartz is really good; all these beautiful crystals, you can work with them and bring them into your space.

The southwest area of our home is related to love and relationship as well, so you could add some rose quartz there in the southwest area of your home. You can add the art of love in the southwest and also in that area, make sure there's nothing single like a single chair that's alone. You'd be better off having a loveseat or something. So the southwest location of your home is the area of love.

The other thing that's really important when you're sleeping at night is you want to be able to see the door when you sleep. If the only position is to position your bed here right behind the door, basically, you can place some kind of small, tiny little mirror. You can't see your reflection, but it does allow you to see the door; the reason for this is that it allows your nervous system to relax. It allows you to really let go so you can have a really good night's sleep. So we talked about new bedding and new sheets, and I would say that if you are sleeping in a bed from a past relationship, that is a lot of energy, and it's better to have a fresh bed. It's better to have a fresh mattress. I know that's not always possible, so you can just give it a good clearing, and we'll talk about how you can cleanse the space and cleanse objects, how you can cleanse your home, and then you can sit with it and see how you feel. But it is really nice to have a fresh bed.

Support Rest and Romance in your Bedroom

The other thing is, we don't really want to bring anything into the bedroom that doesn't support rest and romance. We don't really suggest exercise/workout equipment in the bedroom. Again, if you're in a studio, then it needs to come in; I understand that. So exercising can be fun, but it also represents hard work, and we don't want to bring that energy of hard work into our bedroom.

We want the bedroom to just have that which supports rest and romance. I don't want to sound like a broken record with that, but it just invites us to be more mindful about what we bring into our space and how sacred that space is.

Fans hanging over the bed. Not ideal. I know in hot weather, they can be really good, but in Feng Shui, they're like knives going over your head. So it's okay if they're not directly above the bed and a floor fan is totally fine.

A couple of other no-nos with this picture is a mirror in the headboard. Definitely not ideal. Even something that has a whole setup over your head is not good. In Feng Shui, we don't have anything over our heads when we sleep at night because that makes it feel like the weight of the world is on us. So really, we want to have just a solid headboard with two nightstands. If we need to have a fan, this is a much better option because it's softer, it's fabric, it's not metal, and it will give just as good.

Another thing that is really important is we don't want to have one nightstand that's really tall or one that's really small because that starts to represent an imbalance in the relationship or a tiny lamp on one nightstand and a huge one on the other, we want to make sure they're of even size because we're saying we are equally as important as each other in this relationship. We both matter. We both want to honor each other; that's what all of this represents.

Having things in pairs, light one side, and light on the other, plant on one side and on the other. Speaking of plants, you want to be really mindful about the type of plant that we bring into the bedroom, and like this one, we want to keep away from cacti in the bedroom, Sha energy, it creates a lot of Sha energy. In Feng Shui, you want to create this soft, gentle, beautiful energy because that invites the Chi and invites the love and the opportunities. If we have pointy, prickly, sharp things in the bedroom, it's going to keep away all the good stuff.

Same thing here; I wouldn't suggest having artwork above the bed. You see, the way there's a little ledge here as well, that's not ideal either because there's one line that runs and kind of would run over the body across you as you sleep at night, and that would create what we would call a poison arrow. So a lot of the time, I would suggest drywall and drywalling over this, or you can use some fabric to soften it or see if the bed could get moved to a different location from a health perspective.

There are cacti in the bedroom. So that's really interesting because when I go into a home and somebody wants to and thinks they want to be in a relationship, but they're not quite ready. They will have a lot of pretty sharp pointy items like cacti outside the bedroom door and inside the bedroom. It's kind of like," I think I want a relationship, no, stay away." because having a sharp pointy cactus will definitely keep relationships at bay. So we talked about not having the desk in the bedroom, but if you have to, then, like, just have it nice and clean and tidy and have a nice plant on it. Then maybe just cover the laptop when you sleep at night. So we want to keep those out of the bedroom as much as possible.

We talked about lighting. We want to support rest and romance, which are so important. We want to then make sure. It's really important that the 101 thing in Feng Shui is to make sure everything in our homes is in good working order. So if the door is super squeaky and it's not opening all the way, or it gets jammed, that's representing the energy getting stuck. It shows that things are not flowing. If there are cracks in the mirror, that's how we look at ourselves; that's how we see ourselves. If there are cracks in the windows, that's how we look at the world. If our light bulbs are always getting burnt out, it's representing us being burnt out.

In Feng Shui, water is associated with prosperity but also emotions. So if our drains are getting blocked, it's like, where is the money being blocked or where is the emotions being blocked. So what I would suggest as Feng Shui 101 is to get everything fixed in your home, everything you want, the door opening properly, the crack in the windows, the light bulb, whatever it is, get everything in good working order so that it's going to support your health, prosperity, and relationships. Remember, the home is a reflection, so we want it to reflect everything flowing in divine order.

It's good to have the bed slightly off the floor. We talked about how we want the energy to flow, and we want the energy to flow around the bed, we want a solid night's rest, and we want a solid wall behind us. We want the energy to be able to flow everywhere else to invite that energy into our lives.

This is a great plant for the bedroom; nice rounded leaves, and it gives oxygen while we sleep; it takes away carbon dioxide, so plants are amazing. So sleeping under a slanted roof can make us feel like we got the weight of the world over our heads, or we wake up with headaches.

You can see where this headboard is. It's under the real low part of the wall; if there's another bedroom, I suggest going into that. If there isn't, at least move the headboard here, so you're at a higher point. This one, it's like your head is getting pushed down, and if you sit up quickly or early at night, you bang your head, these things can prevent you from having a good night's sleep and not feeling expansive in the world like you want to feel.

Beams are another biggie in Feng Shui. You see this one, in particular, this beam that's running all the way down the center of the bed, that energy of that corner and that energy of that corner is cutting right down the center of the bed. I've been in and out of thousands of homes, and in every single home, I've been in where the beam runs down the center of the bed. The couple does not last because it's this constant dividing of energy, cutting down between the couple, like separating the couple when they're in bed. So what I suggest is, of course, you can drywall over beams. You can move to another bedroom if there aren't beams. Can move the bed to the wall if there aren't beams above it, or you can use fabric. This is just an example. You can get one of those beds that do come with kind of a high roof to it, so that's another option. You can just drape the beams in a lovely fabric.

So this beloved goddess Quan Yin she's like the Bodhisattva, the goddess of love and compassion. She's got this powerful energy to bring in when you'd like to bring in more love and loving relationships in your life. You can work with her; you can call her in during your meditations. You can actually get a statue of her and place her in the southwest area of your home, which represents love. For every single thing, you're doing, place it and put it in or remove it with the power of intention because that makes it so much more powerful.

Essential oils for love. We talked about the rose, the lavender, ylang ylang is another beautiful one for the heart. Jasmine oil stimulates sexual appetite; sandalwood relaxes the nervous system while waking desire. Of course, we talked about roses opening up the heart and unconditional love.

    Write a letter

I would suggest what I call writing a letter. We can say soulmate, and we can say life partner or whatever it is that you're comfortable with, like whatever is the right word for you. This is also an exercise that can be written for somebody who's in a relationship, just wanting the relationship to really improve and to be more in alignment. If you're single and you're ready to bring in a loving relationship, what I suggest is that you meditate on love. You come fully into your heart, and then you have a pen and paper next to you. When you come out of that meditation, you then write your letter to your love, to your life partner. Write this letter in the present tense, like it's already happening, and you're just writing to them, and they will energetically connect with you. Your soul, your souls will hear each other. This letter also helps you get clear on what's important to you in a relationship. What are the things that are really important?

So it could be "Dear life partner" you might know the name "I love that we're kind to each other. I love that we support each other to grow. I love that we have fun and joy and passion." and just all the things that are important to you to write about like it's happening now. As I said, it allows you to get really clear, and this is what I want to feel in that relationship. It's all about getting into the feeling of it and really knowing that you deserve that loving relationship.

One of the questions I've had is," what if I'm in a relationship and I'm not sure?" well, then you write that letter. You don't necessarily have to write it to your partner, but you write that letter about the relationship you're ready to experience. It gives an opportunity for your present relationship to step into that. By making all these beautiful changes in your home and in your life, you're saying; I would love that. I would love to raise the vibration of this relationship. I would love to invite my soul partner into my life.

So some examples that I can share in this PowerPoint with you all. It's really asking yourself these questions:

What are the things that are important to you in your relationship?

    How do you feel?

Do you feel inspired and energized?

Do you feel supported? Do you feel heard? Do you feel seen?

What does the relationship specifically include? Like what do you like to do together? Do you like to work together? Do you like to cook together? What are those things that are important, and how do you share similar goals and interests?

Just allow yourself to go really deep into that process, and you can keep one of those copies under your pillow. You can put it wherever you want because remember it's really private where you place it. You really want to meditate on what that feels like in that relationship and how you want to step into it.

  • Creating your Home as a Sanctuary5:05

    Creating home as Sanctuary

I invite you to stand, or envision that you're standing at your front door, entering your home. Close your eyes, and notice, do your spirits rise? Or do they fall? If they rise, I am so happy for you. If they fall, let's chat about how we can shift that. You beloved, deserve to live in a home that inspires you and that you feel happy and safe in.

Did you know that your home and everything in it is an outward expression about how you feel on the inside?

Open your eyes, take a look around at your furniture, your art, rugs, color choices, and notice not judging. Just observe how you feel when you look at them. The first place to start when raising the vibration in your home is clearing things that no longer serve or support you. Allow yourself to let go.

I would love to invite you only to have in your home what you need, use and love. That means clearing out things that don't make your heart sing. Just because somebody gifted it to you, it doesn't mean that you have to keep it. In fact, by keeping something you don't love, it's not even honoring the person that gave it to you.

Just because you inherited it, it also means you do not have to keep it just because you bought it on sale or when you purchased it, it felt like something special. Things have changed and it's really about letting go of the guilt, shame, or even feelings of lack. Just permitting yourself to let it go.

As you dive more deeply on the path of self-love and self-worth, you realize that you no longer have to stay in a friendship, a relationship, or a home that's not honoring you. What we shift internally will always manifest externally in our lives. For example, when you step more deeply into deserving wealth and abundance than your home and life will reflect that. In the bedroom, only have items that support rest and romance.

Artwork that reflects a loving relationship. Let go of anything from past relationships. Otherwise, you tend to stay stuck in the past. Use the beautiful bedding that you've kept away for another time. Light the candles that have never been lit. Allow your home and life to reflect your living in the present moment and nurture your beautiful self.

Look at your closet. If you haven't worn it in a year, let it go. If it has stains or missing buttons or has just lost what we call in feng shui it's chi, which means energy, be willing to get it fixed or let it go. You only want to have clothes in your closet that fit you and that you feel amazing when wearing. Otherwise, you're saying that you're not accepting yourself.

These are some good places to start. As the wise man, Benjamin Franklin, once said, don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Give yourself the gift of a home that reflects what you deserve, beloved.
