Feasibility Studies (دراسات الجدوي)

Course Overview:

The purpose of this course is to teach participants how feasibility studies are planned, conducted, and evaluated. A typical feasibility study consists of several related studies. It starts with a legal study to determine whether the proposed project complies with the legal requirements. The next step is to prepare the market study to ascertain whether there is a market gap, how large it is, and how to reach it. Following is a technical study to determine the facility location, appropriate technology, capacity, and availability of qualified workforce. The last step is to prepare an economic and financial evaluation to assess the financial viability of a project and whether it is worth the time and money needed to get it off the ground.

By the end of the program, the participants will be able to:

· Understand the concept of the feasibility studies.

. Examine project management techniques to plan and organize feasibility studies.

· Raise their skills in market analysis, technical and economic analysis.

· Select investment projects with the highest possible net profit.

. Calculate the Pay-back period.

To sum up, the feasibility study helps the organizations to understand if the ideas or projects being considered for investment are worth investing time, money, energy, and effort. A well-developed feasibility study lays the foundation for project analysis and design activities in a focused manner.
