All right, welcome to step one. Before we proceed, I just want to say that I am going to teach this course in a way that is designed to be a one-on-one consultation where I walk you through step-by-step to create your ad campaign.
And in doing that, I’m going to use the example of one of my businesses, which is Chesapeake Bartenders. That way I can walk you through ad set up from beginning to end with a real life, real time example!
So let’s talk about the difference between boosting a post and promoting something from where you see calls to action like this.
Here I’m gonna take you to the back end where there’s a lot more targeting options and all kinds of stuff that’s going to make your ads much more successful.
This video is the “meat and potatoes” of this course. Join me as a build a real FB Ads lead generation campaign for my business. I go through every step and prompt in FB Ads Manager and show you best practices I use in my own Digital Marketing Agency that has helped clients grow from zero to six and seven figures.
We go over:
Naming Ad Campaigns
Selecting the purpose of your Ad Campaign (leads)
How to target strategically to get in front of your ideal audience
How to set your Ad Campaign budget
How to configure Ad Settings for lead generation
And More!
Welcome to the fourth video in the FB Ads Mini Course!
Not feeling creative? That’s okay! You don’t have to be a graphic design pro in order to create effective ads for Facebook! In fact, after testing hundreds of different ad versions from video to static images, you would probably be surprised when I tell you, it’s not always the fancy ads that perform best. Consumers are smart and they like authenticity and businesses that can show the work they are best at. So if you are a contractor, show those before and after pictures you snapped on your smart phone!
In this video, I show you how to use a free online design website called Canva to build creative for your ad sets. From static images to videos with music, I show you how to use the site and upload your creations in FB Ads Manager quickly and easily.
P.S. I pay for Canva Pro, because it includes features that I believe are worth paying for. The price for Canva Pro is really reasonable, so you might want to consider upgrading from the free version at some point.
Okay, you have made your FB Ads creative masterpieces in Canva. Now what? In this video, I show you how to upload various versions of creative content in Ads Manager. I know this course is going by quickly, but you are almost done!
Welcome to the sixth video in the FB Ads Mini Course!
By now, you have designed your FB Ads Creative in Canva and are ready to move on to writing Ad Copy. This part is really important, as WORDS MATTER. How will you stand out from all the other ads on FB and IG? Is your offer compelling? In this section I show you how to leverage another free tool, ChatGPT to help speed up the ad copy process.
I prefer upgrading to ChatGPT4, which includes a small monthly fee – it is well worth the price!
Can you believe it? You are coming down the homestretch! You are almost done. In this video, I will show you how to preview your FB Ad Set in various platforms like FB Reels, Posts, Marketplace, IG, IG Stories, etc. I also show you how to create a lead generation form that actually converts! When someone fills out this form and clicks “submit” they officially become a lead. I include fields that ensure you capture the contact information you need, without asking "too" many questions which can result in leads not converting.
I am all about working smarter NOT HARDER. I automate all leads to be delivered to my inbox and my client’s inboxes. This ensures you don’t waste time reactively checking FB Leads Center for leads. This Zapier Automation ensures you receive leads immediately via email, with all lead info (name, email, phone number, etc.).
*Zapier is free except for “premium zaps” – this zap is considered premium, which requires a monthly subscription plan which costs $49 per month.
In this video, I show you how where to find and manage leads in FB Leads Center. You can use Leads Center as a basic CRM, upload leads from other sources manually, and download leads in a .csv or excel file in order to remarket to them via email marketing. I personally prefer the Zapier automation, so I am notified as soon as I have a lead, but if you don’t want to spend the money for Premium Zapier, this is a free option for leads management.
How much you spend depends on the niche you are in, what your competitors are spending, what your allocated marketing budget is, etc. There are so many factors that come into play when setting a budget. Personally, I allocate a very small daily ad spend for my businesses ($3 per day), because we already get a lot of leads from SEO, and we cannot really handle more leads. The leads we get from $3 a day are great. If I wanted more leads, I would double that budget. In very competitive niches (roofing, home service repair, etc.) you might spend $50 per day, per ad and more. It really depends. But I urge you to start with a test budget of $250 - $500 for the first month. Run the ads and see which ones are performing best.
Welcome to the 11th video. In this section, I am going to show you how to create a traffic based campaign as opposed to building an ad campaign with “Leads” as the objective. We are still capturing leads, but instead of doing so on FB with a FB Lead Form, we are instead using a call to action that encourages potential leads to click through to your website or a landing page to complete a lead generation form.
Why Choose a “Traffic” Based Campaign instead of a “Lead” Campaign?
As I mention several times in this course, you really want to test various types of campaigns and let them run for 4-8 weeks in order to have a good data sample to analyze. Choosing a traffic based campaign objective usually results in a lower ad spend, which means those who have lower ad budgets might want to focus on this type of ad set up in the beginning. If you already have a website and have the ability to create landing pages and/or contact forms that capture leads, creating a traffic based campaign will ensure people click through to your site/landing page. When we create this type of campaign, you will be charged in “CPC” or “cost per click” instead of “CPL” or “cost per lead.” In my experience, I use traffic based campaigns for clients with smaller ad budgets and for clients in service based businesses that are not expensive. As an example, I use traffic campaigns for both my micro-venue and mobile bartending business, but I use “leads” objective campaigns for clients selling big ticket items like decks, landscaping, patios, hvac, etc. With ad based traffic campaigns, you run the risk of paying for clicks through to your site, but a lead not providing their information. With a “leads” based campaign, you capture the information required in your lead form – which is why this ad set up is more expensive.
TIP: No matter what type of campaign objective you choose, I highly recommend exporting leads in a .csv file, and remarketing to those leads via email marketing. This ensures you add them to your email marketing list, and if they didn’t convert into a paying customer initially, the might convert in the future if you stay in touch via email marketing.
Generate more revenue by leveraging targeted FB Ads that attract qualified leads. STOP BOOSTING POSTS. Use the same formula my digital marketing agency uses to grow client's businesses from zero to 6 and 7 figures. This is the same strategy I use for all 3 of my businesses.
