Master exhibitions and booths design through theory and practical work, covering booth construction, shipping costs, materials, client briefs, AutoCAD/3ds Max workflows, V-Ray rendering, and fabrication.
Master the theory and practical workflow of exhibitions and trade show booths. Develop clear goals, engaging themes, visuals, floor plans, and modeling workflows using AutoCAD, 3D Max, and V-Ray.
Explore exhibition types by purpose and space—from art and interpretive exhibitions to trade fairs and virtual exhibitions—plus booth formats such as inline, corner, peninsula, and island and essential design elements.
Explore key exhibition construction systems, including M12 tube-and-node, M12 plus, 4D walls and double deck, R8 and R8 plus, M6, Atlantic Wall, and LED panels.
Plan and design an impactful trade show booth by budgeting for size and cost, organizing shipping, storage, staffing, and detailed CAD-based 3D layouts from brief to post-production.
Explore the medica Düsseldorf 2018 case study with booth options and plans, then design a BMW electric cars island from a client brief using AutoCAD floor plans.
Model a BMW booth in 3D Max from AutoCAD drawings by importing references, setting units, and building stairs, walls, and a double decker display with LED screens and logo emphasis.
Model a BMW booth in 3ds Max by building backdrops and walls, adding glass, a logo, and BMW font text, then apply materials and lighting.
Model a booth by importing cars and setting texture paths in 3ds Max. Build stairs and handrails with editable poly and sweep, adjust scale, and reflect the client brief.
Set up the lights, materials, and render settings to preview booth visuals using V-Ray with HDRI lighting, override materials for testing, and enable global illumination.
Master creating exhibition booth materials using multi-sub materials, glass, metal handrails, walls, and screens; pick colors from logos, apply textures with UV maps, and preview lighting.
Add cameras, doors, furniture, and logo assets to the booth, refine geometry with chamfers and precise alignment, apply materials and lighting, and place screens and artwork for exterior shots.
Practice test renders and scene modifications in 3ds Max with V-Ray, adjusting materials, lighting, and geometry—from override materials and EXR exports to transparency, glazing, and logo extrusion.
Develop realistic booth visuals by adjusting reflectivity, glossiness, and lighting in a vray-based workflow, refining materials, textures, and render settings to produce clean png exports.
Learn post-production and compositing workflows, from exporting EXR channels and alpha masks to color correction and color lookup, then add elements and text for booth presentations.
Convert CAD drawings for the front facade and double-deck ground floor by capturing accurate measurements from 3D max, using dimension tools and AutoCAD to produce editable DWG plans with sections.
Learn to add dimensions in AutoCAD, measure components, and export CAD drawings as PDFs for exhibition booths.
Prepare a booth presentation by assembling logos, covers, 3D shots, and floor plans for a nine-meter island booth (code H 44) in Illustrator, then export a PDF.
Learn to develop an exhibition booth design with a bill of quantity, client recommendations, and material selections, supported by 3d shots, M12 construction, and AutoCAD to Photoshop to Illustrator workflows.
This course includes 2 parts theoretical and practical:
in the first theoretical part :
we will discuss more information about
The importance of this industry and the importance of specific booth targets.
The Different types of booths according to purpose and according to spaces and corridors
The most famous construction systems to build Booth.
Types of materials .
We will ask important questions like :
How much will it cost to create the size and type of booth you want?
How are you going to store and move your booth?
What are shipping fees, and what effect do they have on the price of your trade show booth
How many employees are required to run your booth?
In our practical part we Will take 2 examples :
1-One of them is case study for booth done in different spaces I make it in Dusseldorf in Germany (Medica Booth)
We will know about the spaces and how to handle different options for different spaces.
2-The second one we will design BMW Large booth from scratch , and we will go through all design process starting from brief details and what it must contain going through CAD drawings , modeling , materials and render settings arriving to final render and post-production and prepare our professional presentation till preparing BOQ and Execution recommendations.
