
Excel files are called workbooks. Whenever you start a new project in Excel, you'll need to create a new workbook. There are several ways to start working with a workbook in Excel. You can choose to create a new workbook—either with a blank workbook or a predesigned template—or open an existing workbook.
Workbooks that are created can be modified by copying data, cells and even worksheets within the workbooks. The workbooks contain worksheets which can be moved or created newly. Worksheets can be deleted and created at any time and in any numbers.

Workbook - like a notebook, Excel creates an empty workbook when it starts (Book1)

Tab scrolling buttons - can be used to scroll through the sheet tabs.
