In this introduction lecture you will find out what you will be able to achieve at the end of Excel 4 Accountants and Bookkeepers - Master Lookup Functions

We will begin this course with a look at the basic Vlookup and Hlookup formulas, we will then move on to the use of Index and match and how these can be combined together or with Vlookup to really power up your lookups. By the end of this course, not only will you be able to look up data to the right easly enough, but you will also be able to lookup to the left, preform lookups within text and apply the choose function.

We will start this lesson by introduction the Vlookup function and then we will hop into Excel and look at these by way of example. First we will look at an example of a Vlookup with an Exact Match and then with an Approximate Match.

First you will be introduced to the Match function and then the Index function. We will look at examples of both of these function in isolation before we combine Index and Match to make a powerful 2 way lookup function

The V-lookup function has a number of limitations, and in this section we will have a look at a work around for one of these limitations. In this lesson we will combine V-lookup with Match
