Description

This course is designed to support GCSE students, but it is intended for purchase by adults, such as parents or guardians, on behalf of their children. The English Language GCSE is the qualification that all students need to pass to go on to college; students have to re-sit this until they achieve at least a grade 4 in their exam. Many students struggle to know how to improve their grades in this exam as it isn't something they can easily practise alone. Whether you are looking for a 4 or a 9, this complete video course gives you everything you need to know to prepare and excel in your exam for Language Paper 1: Fiction and for Language Paper 2: Non-Fiction.

Although there are no books to study in preparation for this exam, as there are in English Literature, it is essential that students understand what is required of them in each question. This video course ensures students understand what they're being assessed on, learn the best processes to use to tackle each section, know how to manage their time in the exam and understand how to apply subject terminology. It teaches both text analysis and creative writing, both essential skills to succeed in this exam.

This course is designed to support GCSE students, but it is intended for purchase by adults, such as parents or guardians, on behalf of their children.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Since making this course, a few small updates have recently been made to the AQA Language paper 1 exam. These include Qu 1 moving to a multiple choice format, some refined wording in Qu 3 and 4, and a little more flexibility in the creative writing task. These are minor adjustments to the way the paper is presented rather than any major changes to the skills assessed. The core reading, analysis, and writing skills remain exactly the same, and this course still provides thorough preparation for success in this exam.

Who this course is for:

  • This course is for year 10 and 11 students who are studying for their English Language GCSE
  • It is aimed at students using the AQA exam board
  • It is also for year 12 students who are re-sitting their English Language GCSE exams
