Description
Hi I'm Julie!
I have been teaching Pilates for 17 years, and absolutely love what I do! As a former dancer, I love the way Pilates makes me feel and helps me with my posture and body awareness, so that I can continue moving and dancing and doing all the other things I love.
I have designed this course to give you a gentle introduction to Pilates that will allow you to do a little bit of movement everyday. I want you to feel amazing at the end of the week, not tired or sore. I want you to feel motivated and inspired to go through all of the lessons week after week until your body begins to crave that feeling of moving well everyday.
What's included
You will get an introductory lesson to watch once on the 5 Basic Principles of the Stott Pilates technique.
After that, there is a Daily Warm Up to be done as a workout on its own when you are short on time, or to combine with one of the 6 other workouts below.

Core Workout
Arm Workout
Leg Workout
Balance Challenge
Cardio Workout
Stretch Class
The goal to do at least one workout or segment a day. You have lifetime access to the course and can continue to practice and repeat these workouts on your own, to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

Instructor
Julie Anderton, B.F.A., A.R.A.D.
Julie began her dance training in Ottawa, Canada where she trained in ballet, jazz and tap and received her Advanced certificate from the Royal Academy of Dancing. She then continued her dance studies in ballet and contemporary dance at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, where she received her B.F.A. in Dance (cum laude). Julie pursued her professional dance career in the United States, and England as well as working on cruise ships.
While in England she became certified as a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer at Central Manchester College. Upon returning to Ottawa, Julie began her teacher training in the Stott Pilates method. She is a fully certified Stott Pilates Instructor, meaning she is trained in all of the Pilates apparatus as well as the mat work.
Julie is also certified in Total Barre™ and Zumba, and loves to be able to combine her passion for dance and fitness together in these classes. Julie has also been studying more about Fascia and its effect on our well being and movement patterns, and is certified in ZEN•GA™, and the Roll Model Method TM. Most recently she has also become certified as a Yin Yoga instructor.
Julie has grown a strong passion for Pilates and finds it thrilling to enable clients to develop a deeper level of body awareness and core strength while improving their overall health and lifestyle.
