Description
In this short course we provide the basics of how to participate in Eu programmes and European grants. This is the first of three modules. In this First one we provide an overview of the whole process, what is an EU programme and the basics of how to participate and approach European grants.
In the second Module we look at how to prepare a successful proposal with a view to get European grants and get the project funded.
In the third module we will provide information and knowledge about how to manage a running project..
The second and the third modules are under construction and will go online in the next few months.

Who this course is for:
- The course is intended for those who want to become consultants on how to access EU programmes and projects, as well as for professional working within existing organisations which are interested in participating in EU funded projects.
Instructor
Raniero Chelli received his University degree in Physics in 1979 and has over 25 years of experience in international projects with specific reference to EU funded programmes in RTD and international cooperation. Project Management, Communication (personal and institutional) deep knowledge of both public and private sector deriving from experiences as a civil servant (including with the European Commission), as an entrepreneur and a free lance Consultant and as a professional trainer in the area of designing European Projects. Under this respect he has been responsible for the Research and Development module of the Master course on “Eurodesign" organised by Polytechnic of Turin in 2000-2001. He is currently President at Sophia Research and Innovation, and Italian not for profit association specializing in Eu projects especially focussing on Advanced Training and Education, IT applications and healthcare. He is also a partner and member of the Board of Directors of Sophia srl, a private company active inter alia in the area of IT consultancy and SW development.
FP7, LLP, Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+ are the programmes on which he has the most extensive experience but he can cover any kind of Direct funds programme.
He has an extensive experience in both project management, dissemination and quality control procedures as he has been responsible for the quality control in two TEMPUS projects in the last three years.
In teaching on line courses he shares the knowledge he acquired since 1985 in Eu projects with the students, in a structured way
