Learn to manage EPLAN projects by copying with or without reports, deleting, renaming with versioning, and backing up and restoring using the .zw1 format.
Explore how EPLAN structures organize pages, devices, and mounting locations using an IEC template, with an example of identifying status and device tags like F1 in CAB1 and CAB2.
Demonstrates the main function in EPLAN Electric P8 using a contactor, showing coils, power and auxiliary contacts, and how to update connections and assign a single part number per device.
Learn to work with EPLAN's plot frame: distinguish project-level versus page-level fields, apply a standard or page-specific plot frame, customize templates (NFPA/IEC), and copy or edit frames for pages.
learn to create electrical schematics in EPLAN by inserting connection symbols, terminals, and motor overload protection, and using interruption points to link pages and copy formats across pages.
Explore essential functions in eplan to place motor and protection devices, create wiring with symbols, configure cables and terminals, and duplicate circuits with automatic numbering.
Master generating EPLAN P8 reports, including title page, table of contents, cable overview, terminal diagrams, and parts lists, using faster and better methods with templates and updates.
Export your EPLAN projects to PDF or DXF/DWG, choosing whole projects or specific pages, with black-and-white exports and folder structures that mirror the EPLAN page navigator.
Learn to model and manage bundle connection points in EPLAN by defining function groups, creating cross references, and using angle, T-node, distributor, and double junction symbols to bundle wiring.

Hello,
after some feedback from my students I've finally invested time and energy to create this EPLAN beginner's course. Only the essentials, only EPLAN (no design this time).
If you're into learning the basics of EPLAN, the essential functions and sections to be able to create some decent circuit diagrams in EPLAN then you've come to the right place.
It doesn't matter whether you are a total beginner with EPLAN and electrical design or you are already an accomplished electrical designer and you just want to experience what does it mean to design in EPLAN, you will find this course an interesting starting point into EPLAN and into Electrical Design field.
Or you might be a company owner / freelancer and want to see if EPLAN is worth investing your time and money to incorporate it into your design standards - this course will help you decide.
I originally planned to keep this course under 1 hour of length, but then, while I was filming the lectures I realized that anything under 2 hours would not be fair to my students, and that's only to show you the basics :o
So, without further ado, check the free preview videos and if you like what you see, enroll and let's start the journey!
See you in the course.
Yours sincerely,
Ivan
