In this video I go over what is going to be covered in this course
Starting off we begin with a 4 chord progression, and I show you how you can elaborate on the chord progression with chord voice leading and adding a melody idea.
This is a correction to the chord progression I mentioned in the previous video. This is the chord progression I am going to be using for the remainder of the course.
Here we take a look at how to take the chord progression piano sketch and map it out across the Violins, Violas , Cellos and Basses
Here we take a look at how you can create a string ostinato passage with the 1st and 2nd Violins
Now with the string section built up, we take a look at how we can create an Intro section leading up to the String Motief.
This video goes over how you can use a synth pad to create a build up and interest and tension in a cinematic composition.
This video builds on the Pad section by adding an emotive Piano Part
Here we create a call and response part with the main Piano, using a more heavy processed ambient sounding piano part.
Here we expand on the Piano part and show how to incorporate the melody into the production.
This video will go over how to add French Horns, Flugel Horns and trumpets to your composition
Here we create a counter rhythmic part to the violin ostinato part for the Brass section.
Here we look at the percussive elements you can add to your production to give it that epic, cinematic, percussive feel.
Here we add some electric guitar and bass, with both being heavily saturated. And we see how these types of tracks can increase the impact of the production.
In this video we will take a look at how to switch between different articulations on the orchestral Presence Instruments
Here we will take a look at how to alter the original theme, so that it sounds different. Yet still has memorable elements from the original theme.
From what we have learnt in the last few videos, here we will take a look at how to modify the string section
Here we will modify the String ostinato for the alternate Motief
He we move over onto the brass section and modify this for the adapted motief.
Also in this video we take a look at how to adjust the percussion section for the adapted motief
In this video we will take a look at how to add some Woodwinds into a Cinematic piece
In the following videos we will explore how to create a Hans Zimmer-Style Braam. Starting off we'll see how to take a piano sketch and transfer it across to the Brass section
Following on from the last video, here we will look at the Percussion section for the Braam.
Next we will explore how to use the strings in a Braam section with the use of different articulations across the strings.
This video looks at some extra elements we can add to out Big, Braam section and how to make it feel even bigger.
