Description
With 12 years of teaching English all around the world, the importance of learning authentic vocabulary is paramount, and not always possible from a typical course book. Native speakers use expressions and uncommon terminology to communicate their ideas and this can often be very different to what we learn in the classroom.
Idioms and phrasal verbs are 2 ESSENTIAL elements to speak like a native. The more you use them, the more natural your speech will become and the better communicator you will be.
They help you integrate culturally, create relationships, increase your confidence and improve your language abilities.
This course has been used with hundreds of students all over the world, from Asia to South America.
Each lesson:
Focuses on a specific topic to provide context
Teaches you new idioms AND phrasal verbs
Encourages you to learn the new vocabulary using ALL language skills; reading, writing, listening & speaking
Includes a variety of exercises
Requires your interaction and feedback
Offers feedback for your interaction
Provides personal support from the teacher
When you're able to start using this terminology with native speakers, you will be VERY surprised by their reaction. They will be extremely impressed that a non-native uses such local language.
The course is dynamic, engaging and will improve your language ability.

Experience
I have specialised in teaching English as a second language for over 12 years. I've worked for some of the industry leaders and lectured at universities around the world, trained in the "communicative approach".
I am also a language learner and currently speak 4 European languages, so I like to think like a learner when I prepare my classes.
I currently manage my own language school, British Community, teaching students and teachers on and offline.
Personal
Teaching (and learning) is my passion, whether it be languages or other subjects, I enjoy meeting new people and learning together.
