Description
English Grammar, Usage, and Mechanics is a comprehensive course. Students will discover the function of parts of speech, how to use correct punctuation and capitalization, and develop skills for writing/speaking various sentence structures. Learning proper English grammar and sentence structures will help you write and speak clearly for effectively communicating with others at school, work, and in social situations.
Who this course is for:
- This course is intended for individuals who are learning the English language. However, anyone interested in improving his or her grammar will benefit from the lessons. In addition, it is recommended composition students consider taking the class.

Instructor
I am the author and publisher of the coming-of-age book, Growing Pains – 10 short stories about growing up, and former columnist for Hollywood Scriptwriter magazine. I have written, produced, and directed short movies and a feature crime-drama movie titled, The Two Sisters, which received two Best Screenplay nominations from film festivals. My suspense short movie, Road 29, was a contest semi-finalist. In addition, I have written mystery and suspense screenplays, receiving award recognition, and teleplays for a miniseries.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from University of California at Davis and a Single Subject Teaching Credential. As a result, I taught English (composition, literature, and written analysis) to students in grades six through twelve and undergraduates. Other courses I taught are English Language Development, social science, video production, and drama. Furthermore, I earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Educational Leadership with an Administrative Services Credential for leading an education organization from Azusa Pacific University.
