Natural English Conversations

There are a few things to keep in mind as you go through this course so that you can get the most out of it.

In this first lesson, we'll talk about words to use instead of VERY and REALLY, because if we only use these two, people may think we don't know better words to use. There are many specific words which will allow you to be totally clear when describing something or explaining yourself.

In this lesson, we’ll learn about the most common questions we can use to greet someone in English. We’ll learn how to use ‘What’s up?’ and other common questions with WHAT and HOW.

In this lesson, we’re going to learn how to agree and disagree with someone. If we don’t know how to do that politely and clearly, we may confuse or even hurt the person we’re talking with.

In this lesson, we'll talk about how to start a conversation when you meet new people. Without knowing the right tips and questions, it can be quite awkward.

In this lesson, we will go over ways to ask people to wait in English. There are actually many phrases we can use to do this, both formally and informally.

In this lesson, we are going to learn how to ask someone for help in English. In more formal situations, we have to use somewhat indirect phrases. In more casual situations, we'll more often ask for help directly.

In this lesson, we’re going to be talking about how to keep a conversation going. We will focus on simple comments and questions you need to know if you want to have a natural conversation in English.

In this last lesson, we’re going to talk about filler words. Fillers are things we say that don’t have much meaning. We’ll talk about the ones that are ok to use, as well as ones that we should try to avoid using.
