English

What you'll learn

  • Energy Modelling
  • Building Simulation
  • eQuest software

Course content

2 sections10 lectures1h 5m total length
  • Packaged & Ductless HVAC System(DX) for Building10:40

Discover packaged and ductless dx hvac options for low-rise buildings, including rooftop and split package units, direct expansion versus indirect systems, and efficiency guidelines (eer, seer).

Requirements

  • A desire to learn.
  • Some engineering knowledge is beneficial, but lessons are explained in depth to allow students to build their knowledge from the ground up.
  • A background in engineering / Process Industry / Architect would have added advantage
  • Basic knowledge of Computer

Description

Module 5

  • The Module consist total 10 Lecture which teaches in the following way..

Lecture 1 : This lecture is about Theory about Packaged & Ductless HVAC system for Buildings. eQuest allows us to create HVAC system according to Zoning of the building weather it is single zone or multiple zone.

Lecture 2 : This lecture is about Deign Development Wizard of eQuest Software. Generally this Wizard allows you Design more Flexible, Multi shell Buildings that requires more detailed advanced HVAC systems.

Lecture 3 : This lecture is about Seasons & Scheduling in DD Wizard. Normally, Scheduling describes the Building Systems running status throughout a Day, A Month, A Year and based on, The Simulation process takes place.

Lecture 4: This lecture is all about Building Shell. How to do editing of the shell as well specifying of the building orientation & Coordination of the building structure.

Lecture 5 :  This Lecture is about Activity area Allocation based on Occupation in DD wizard. Generally in this wizard, we can assign this Allocation to multiple Shells at one time as per requirements.

Lecture 6 : This lecture is about Zone Grouping. It is the process in which we adjoints the building rooms (zones) into a particular HVAC system for better performance & efficiency

Lecture 7 : This Lecture is about how add HVAC system in the DD Wizard. In DD Wizard you can design complex and more advanced HVAC system as well as multiple system at one time.

Lecture 8 : This lecture is about the load which are not associate with the Building. These Loads are Computer loads, Miscellaneous Loads, Motors, Refrigerators, Cooking equipment's, Servers etc. they also contributes in the Simulation Process of the building if so.

Lecture 9 : This lecture is about Detail Edit Mode. This Mode basically allows you to Modification of Walls, Child Components, HVAC Systems, Schedules, Construction & Many More.

Lecture 10 : This Lecture is about Viewing of the Model. Basically eQuest allows you to view Model from 2D-3D perspective with centre to building origin. As well as a excel type Spreadsheet allows you to renaming of zones as well as System Modification as per requirements.

The course is useful to Architects and Engineers who wish to perform Energy Modelling of Building. Total 10 module course gives hand on practice to create the building, to apply energy efficiency measure and to predict the building performance before it is made. It is a consolidated course to understand Energy Modelling from scratch and to be expert in the same. All modules have explanation videos about What is energy modelling followed by details of eQuest software. While learning you may practice on your PC or laptop to understand the procedure and get on hand training.
