Welcome to Course 3. You've earned this. Courses 1 and 2 gave you the tools - the cultural frameworks, the communication strategies, the career progression plan, the resilience practices. You've applied them. You've built something real. Now comes the hardest part: using what you've built to lead, to influence at a higher level, and to build something that outlasts you. That's what this course is about.
At this stage, professional development and personal mission become the same thing. The questions aren't about tactics anymore. They're about impact and legacy. What kind of leader do you want to be? What do you want to be known for? What will you have contributed when you look back on your Australian career? These are bigger questions. And they require honest self-reflection. I'll be more personal in this course than I was in Courses 1 and 2. Because I've wrestled with these questions. And they matter.
The structure is the same as Courses 1 and 2. Each module is 30 to 45 minutes. Watch it straight through first. Then watch again with the worksheets and frameworks in front of you. But I want you to do something different with the reflection questions in this course. Don't just write answers. Share them. With a trusted mentor. With a peer. With someone who knows you well. Module 9 is about executive presence - watch it and ask yourself: what's one behaviour I need to change? Module 10 is about thought leadership - watch it and publish something, even if it's not perfect. Module 11 is about entrepreneurship - watch it and have a real conversation with someone who's done it. Module 12 is about legacy — watch it and write down what you want to build. Then tell someone what you wrote.
By the end of this course, you'll have a clear picture of the kind of leader you want to be. You'll have built a thought leadership platform that positions you as someone worth listening to. You'll have assessed whether independent practice is right for you, using frameworks that work. You'll have defined your professional legacy and identified the daily choices that build it. And you'll understand how to move through obstacles - including discrimination, bias, and self-doubt - with knowledge, strategy, and resilience.
This is the final course in the Empowering Employability series — and the most advanced. Congratulations for staying the course.
Course 3 is designed for senior migrant professionals who are ready to lead, not just participate.
If you've completed Courses 1 and 2, you have the cultural fluency, communication toolkit, professional brand, and career strategy to succeed in Australia. Now it's time to go to the next level: executive presence, thought leadership, entrepreneurship, and legacy.
In four modules plus two extra lectures, you will:
• Develop the executive presence that distinguishes leaders from high performers
• Build a thought leadership platform that attracts opportunities rather than chasing them
• Evaluate the pathway to independent consulting or entrepreneurship with clear, practical frameworks
• Define your professional legacy and take the first steps toward building it
• Navigate discrimination and unconscious bias with knowledge, strategy, and legal understanding
• Build and contribute to a migrant professional community that supports the next generation
Course 3 is for professionals who are ready to play a bigger game — in their organisations, in their industries, and in their communities. These include senior migrant professionals targeting C-suite, executive, or board-level roles in Australian organisations. Also, experienced professionals considering independent consulting, coaching, or entrepreneurship in Australia
