We all suffer from emotions and the key to our lives is how we understand and manage them, what we do with the negative ones and how e can use our emotions for growth. Knowing what we are feeling is the first step to taking control. We have not been educated about our emotions other than encouraged to suppress, which makes them worse. Our Mental Health and how we understand and deal with it, or how proactive we are to it is influenced by our understanding of our Emotions

Why do we feel them, how do they come into our existence and how can we use them to grow. Emotions are all of the following, but the caution with emotions is that they filter our view of our experiences. They are not us, yet we give them the credit. Like a spell they have influence over us if we start to identify with the thoughts that we have as a result .
Emotions are our teachers, they are a basic blueprint for our thinking, acting and decision making.
