Yocto Embedded Linux
What you'll learn
- Building custom embedded Linux distributions using Yocto and the Raspberry Pi
- Embedded Linux
- Raspberry Pi
This course aims to cover most of the use cases you would likely encounter being an Embedded Linux Engineer who joins the development team of a project which uses Yocto. This course has a very strong practical component where we use the Raspberry Pi platform as an example.
We will go through each Yocto component at considerable depth, we will take a look at adding new recipes and layers and building images that include these. We will also look at specific components such as the Linux Kernel, presenting various examples which try to represent likely workflows.
Who this course is for:
- Embedded Linux developers who wish to be proficient in using Yocto
My name is Sergio Soldado and I am an Embedded Software Developer and recently freelancer.
I have 10+ years programming primarily on embedded systems.
I have an Electrical Engineering education and published several scientific papers.
My job portfolio includes major companies such as BSKYB and Portugal Telecom, but I have spent most of my career bootstrapping new projects in freshly formed startups, many times being a core developer of our first product. I have been a core developer in several commercially successful products.
Lately I have ventured to web and app development. I also think it is the right time to start contributing by sharing my experience and hopefully teach others real knowledge that they can use in their day to day tasks.
Join me in this journey of learning and discovery.
