Description

My name is Rielly Ocheltree and I completed my doctoral capstone at the Ellipsis in Johnston, Iowa as a third year occupational therapy student at Drake University. Thank you for taking the time to view this course.

In this course you will learn about my time at Ellipsis while completing my capstone with a focus on program and policy development for occupational therapy as Ellipsis does not currently have an occupational therapy practitioner on their interdisciplinary team. During my capstone experience, I targeted the use of a trauma-informed care perspective, self-regulation strategies, and sensory integration strategies with adolescents in the social care system and the resources available for their caregivers. This Udemy course contains lectures, resources, and references to support the need for occupational therapy in this setting. The resources and handouts included in this presentation available to be downloaded for your convenience. The course is based on research, evidence based practices, and clinical experience from my time at Ellipsis.

I hope that you enjoy this course. Please feel free to message the instructor with any questions you may have related to this topic and presentation. Thank you for taking the time to view this course, I hope you find it beneficial!
