Description

In this course, international athlete, Martin Brockman takes you through everything you need to know to develop an effective sprinting technique with your athletes.

With a focus on technical development, throughout the course we'll work through each of the core skills of sprinting, increasing the complexity and improving our knowledge with each module.

We'll learn how to develop and acceleration for beginners before moving into the sprint start position and learning how to set up the starting blocks.

We'll learn how to develop an effective upright sprinting technique to be able to run at high speed.

And we'll look at the transition phase which will enable us to combine these elements and create a race plan for any event from 60m to 400m.

Finally, we'll discuss bend running and how to set up the blocks on a bend, and how to train for the longer sprinting events for our 200 and 400m runners.

Throughout the course, I'll provide you with some of my technical models and coaching resources that you can use with your students and I'll demonstrate some of my favourite drills for you to try with your athletes.

I hope you enjoy the course. See you in the first class!
