Description

This course is Week 8 of an 8-week series designed for professionals, students, and hobbyists who are eager to understand how electronic circuits work. Known as "DC Electronics" in many college electronics degree programs, this series provides a comprehensive foundation in the fundamentals of electronics. The course covers key concepts essential for anyone working with or learning about electrical systems.


Throughout the first 7 weeks, students explore the atomic structure of materials, including conductors, insulators, and semiconductors, which are crucial for understanding how electrical currents flow through different substances. The course also introduces the major characteristics of electronics: Resistance, Current, Voltage, and Power, providing a solid foundation for further study. Additionally, students learn to apply Ohm’s Law and Kirchhoff’s Voltage and Current Laws, as well as the Voltage Divider and Current Divider formulas, to solve basic resistive circuits.


In Week 8, the focus shifts to solving series-parallel resistive circuits, which builds on earlier lessons in series and parallel circuits. This week’s lessons emphasize combining knowledge from previous weeks to solve more complex circuit configurations that combine both series and parallel resistances.
