Then this is the course for you. The course is designed to provide you with classroom management skills (CMS) and tactics using the PRE-DURING-POST (PDP) Framework.
As teachers we sometimes think that the only way we can improve the behaviour of students is when we are inside the classroom. This course will teach you that there is so much more we can do before we enter and after the class itself to smash the chaos and encourage the calm. Using this PDP framework to guide your thinking and build your skill set, will increase your effectiveness as a teacher.
Not only does it cover preventative strategies, but also low key skills and the language of choice. It will also look at the best way to respond to students that engage in student-teacher power battles. Its all in here and waiting to be share with you.
This course is great for newly qualified teachers and teachers who just want to increase the tools in their CMS tool belt. Teaching can be hard, especially in term three when teachers and students are tired. We need a strong 'Why' to remind us why we became a teacher in the first place, reminding ourselves of this will get us through these tough times. This course will help guide you.

Jay Morris has been a Teacher and Leader for 19 years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience in Classroom and Behavioural Management, she has taught Mathematics, Physical Education, and Health. Jay has a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership specialising in Behaviour Management and Engagement.
Sarah McGill has a broad range of experience in education. She has taught in both the primary school and secondary school environment as a Level 3 classroom teacher, Head of Department for HaSS. As a result of her experience, Sarah is incredibly skilled in building effective teams and student relationships, creating engaging programs, coaching and mentoring peers and creating optimal learning environments to improve student outcomes. She is an experienced presenter and has presented at Teach Meet events, the Institute of Professional Learning and has facilitated numerous Professional Learning events for the Geographical Association for Western Australia to improve teacher capacity in Geography. She is currently a member of the Business Educators of Western Australia.
