Here I explain how we reprogram our brains to stop relating past events with painful emotions, and how we can remove fears or limiting beliefs that do not serve you so that you no longer feel the anger, betrayal, fear, anxiety, worry or any other emotions that you are stuck on.

The reason that we temporarily focus on the negative events is that we need to be aware of them and deal with them rather than just saying an affirmation. We need to 'pull the emotional weeds' from our emotional flower garden so that we can move on from them. They MUST be processed first and this is what EFT does so that these events, beliefs and fears no longer affect us anymore.
So once you have the issue that you want to work on, we now have to choose a set up statement and then emotional intensity that it has on us.
Now we move on to the reminder phrase to reinforce the message to the amygdala in our brains and neutralize the emotions that do not need to be associated with those memories
If you say, started at an intensity level of 6 and after doing a round of tapping your SUDS level is now higher what does that mean? Here I explain exactly what happened (don't worry, its all normal)
Now that the emotions have been properly processed, we can now begin affirmations. The 'weeds' have now been pulled.
One of the beautiful things about EFT is that, unlike some other therapeutic approaches, you do not have to 'overcome' your fears using willpower. We simply remove the anxiety from the memory. It becomes neutralized.
As you explore further, we look at treating symptoms, emotions, past events and core beliefs.
When doing EFT its imperative that you are specific and also have the image in your mind correctly. The more the emotional intensity the better. We want to get to those areas that you are most affected negatively.
When you do this, you actually strengthen the neural pathways towards healthier thoughts, beliefs and emotions which in turn brings you more happiness and joy to your life.

Ok, I will just summarize what we have learned so far so that you have a good understanding of what you need to do and that I now that you know the most important aspects of tapping

Ok, it's time to start processing! These first few lectures are really important.
Let's see if you are unconsciously being resistant to change is some areas of your life.
Let's do a tapping exercise for resistance to change.
The table top exercise is excellent for working on large things such as limiting core beliefs such as I am not good enough, I will never be rich etc and how we process them and remove them with this highly effective method.
Healthy skepticism is great! If you are feeling skeptical about something such as if EFT will work for you, this lecture will be a good start point.
The more you do this, just like any other skill that you learn, you will become better at it and thus get faster results as you get used to becoming the inner detective.
You may have seen books or websites that have examples of tapping scripts. Here is why I don't use them nor recommend them

Here I show you that you can just tap on the emotions to remove core beliefs potentially and its also a great quick way when you don't have time to dig deeper. Some lectures may not apply to you in certain areas of your life such as your career or relationships but may apply in other areas such as your children or your an upcoming event. Check all areas.

As a 14 year old at a prom, I was not only rejected in front of 100 other teenagers in my year after asking the prettiest girl in the school to dance with me and she said no, that was not the worst of it. I was about to be humiliated far worse than that! by tapping on this, other aspects came up which surprised me which also needed to be tapped on. You will also find that this will come up from time to time.
If you have specific past events that are extremely traumatic for you then you may like to use some of the gentler techniques from the traumas section
There are healthy and unhealthy fears. After all, the amygdala is here to protect us from dangers. Hearing a loud bang upstairs late at night after there had been several break-ins around the neighborhood sent my body into fight flight mode. My heartbeat was racing, my breathing was super shallow and rapid as I slowly walked upstairs to see what was there.
So we were sitting around having a drink, my son was 5 and was just standing next to me when he was attacked by a viscous, super aggressive Rottweiler. This past event lead him to have a fear that all dogs are aggressive and attack. Here is another example of how we can deal with core beliefs based on past traumatic event/s and remove the fears.
Do you need a drink before you go to a party to 'take the edge off'? Maybe smoke a joint before going to that event to 'chill you out'? Not comfortable at dinner parties because you get nervous about not been able to hold a good conversation? Do you believe that you are not an outgoing person? Just not really a 'people person'. If so, let's remove those fears and anxieties by doing tapping.
It is really important that once you work though many of the aspects, emotions and core beliefs that you then imagine that you are calmly flying in that plane, or calm at the dentist, holding that spider, standing on that high building or whatever fears and phobias you have.
In this lecture, I teach you about the varying aspects to look out for. If the fear of phobias come back, there must be more to tap. here I explain this more in depth.
Needle phobias. Is it the pain that scares you from a past memory of having a painful needle? Is it the antiseptic smell? Is it the smell and feel of the alcoholic swab? Is it the sight of just seeing the needle? The prick? a bad experience? the sight of blood? Is it ALL of these things and more? Let's deal with those fears then.
How can you imagining yourself being on a plane sitting calmly through turbulence when you have a fear of flying work for the real thing? I mean its one thing to decrease fears when you are imagining something but thats not real. This is the cool thing. You subconscious does not know the difference between when you imagine something or do it in real life. It thinks it ALL real life. It doesn't know the difference between whats real and whats imagined. This is also one reason why doing positive visualizations are effective as seeing yourself .
What creepy crawlies are you fearful of? Spiders? which types? all spiders or only larger ones? do you have past events where you were scared? Here I show you step by step how I dealt with my phobias.
One in every three people fear the dentist. My son however, loves them! Studies have shown that even doing a very short burst of EFT before a dentist appointment can have a remarkable effect on your anxiety and fears. Let's go one step better and clear it completely so that you have NO more fear of the dentist.
Remember that its important to tap on the past events or aspects that have the most intensity. They are the ones that will give the best results. Just make sure that they are not TOO intense. You may need to work up to that one.
It's been a big section because as you can see, there are a lot of things that we are fearful of. I will go through the important take home points for you.
Seething with anger, holding onto anger and being frustrated, bitter, resentful and feeling these emotions long term affect YOU. The hate and anger that you have inside is affecting YOUR health, not theirs. It is affecting YOUR relationships around you , NOT theirs. What to do if you got your SUD down to zero, you start your affirmations and THIS happens.
I am sure that you also know people like this, maybe its you! In order to not show your 'weakness' you have a barrier up as the tough guy or tough woman and act angrily most or all of the time. Maybe you use sentences like "...yeah, I showed him. I told him that if he shows his face here again.." or "hahaha, you should have seen him when he saw me. He ran scared. He knows I don't put up with any crap.", and so on. Is being 'the angry person' a part of your identity that you are hiding behind?
Nothing will push your emotional buttons and triggers like being in a relationship with someone.
Gratitude is very powerful when done correctly. It must be specific though. Here I teach you how you do this.
If your partner passed away or if a break up is particularly traumatic emotionally still, you may like to try the techniques in the next section
Here is a great time to use tapping to get calmer and perhaps even a new perspective
Think about ALL relationships both past and present and see if any other these need to be tapped. Are you carrying around hate, anger, jealousy, bitterness or other emotions about ex partners, ex spouses, parents, old friends, current ones, family members, bullies from your school days and any others that you can think of. Clean out the negative emotional closet!
The movie technique is a gentle way when it comes to dealing with traumatic past events, memories and emotions as an alternative approach.
The story telling technique is a great technique for traumatic memories.
This is another gentler technique for traumatic tapping. This makes it less traumatic to deal with. Here I explain the process.
