The problem in our communication at work or with friends and family members starts always with not knowing how to give effective feedback.
In this course we want to help you understand that feedback is always present in our life and therefore feedback is a routine. If you are afraid to give feedback and you become defensive when receiving feedback, then this course is for you.
If you got promoted as a leader, you need to master the art of giving constructive feedback so you can help your subordinates achieve their goals, it’s essential to foster a culture where feedback is viewed by employees through positive lens, if you want to build a high-performance team. The reality is though, as leader or manager, giving feedback to an employee in the workplace can sometimes be uncomfortable. And if negative feedback is given in the wrong way, it can actually do more harm than good. Therefore, is important to learn a feedback communication method that you can apply anytime, that will help you construct not destruct relationships.
Feedback is the foundation of communication. My 18 years of management experience, and as a psychologist being in therapy room with patients, has made me build my own method called PSCI feedback communication method, that can be used in private and professional relationships to improve communication.
The fear of giving and receiving feedback is very real for some and needs to be dealt with delicacy.
It can also help to talk about common fears:
Are you afraid to lose face?
Are you worried you’ll risk conflict?
Do you fear you’ll negatively impact a personal relationship?
Let us not forget the impact culture can have on how we react to feedback. Some cultures are more used and open to feedback than others and in diverse teams, it’s important that cultural background is taken into account before any specific approach is chosen.
Feedback is awesome and the concept is simple - tell people what they’re doing great and what they’re doing wrong and they’ll either do more of it or fix it.
Of course, we all know, in reality it’s not that simple. When it comes to establishing feedback as a key-communication component in a team or organization, many challenges can emerge.

Alina Sletten is a Norwegian certified clinical and organizational Psychologist, business consultant and have over 18 years of project management experience in various industries such as technology and international trade.
After she obtained first class Psychology bachelor degree and two Master degrees in:
1. Cognitive Behavior Therapy & hypnosis and
2. Project Management,
she has worked as a clinical psychologist and later as a business consultant for a wide range of international industries.
In 2012 she has been recruited by Manpower Norway for Global Future Talent program of highly educated men and women with a multicultural background to key positions such as management and directorships. As an entrepreneur she has established various companies in different countries and has been founding member and Board member in the Norwegian Romanian Chamber of Commerce in Oslo Norway.
She took multiple certifications in clinical psychology and business applied methodologies such as: PRINCE 2, LEAN, AGILE Scrum Master, Design Thinking having as focus to help as many people and organizations as possible by sharing her knowledge and expertise.
