Despite the incredible benefits, only 10% of U.S. adults consume 5 servings or more of fruits and vegetables daily.

Fruits and vegetables promote health and extend lifespan primarily due to their antioxidants.  Antioxidants are substances in fruit and vegetables that neutralize free radicals. Free radicals are harmful substances in our body that cause tissue damage. The tissue damage from oxidation results in heart disease, cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer's and stroke. You'll learn about the role of antioxidants in fruits and vegetables for promoting health.  Next, he'll share with you tips for meal planning, grocery shopping, and food preparation, to make consuming 5 servings of fruits and vegetables easy and delicious.  He'll take you on a trip to the supermarket to show you how he shops for produce for the week. You'll hear the answers to frequently asked questions, followed by a summary of the information presented.
