Dr Gerard Boey is an educator with over 28 years of combined work experience in Engineering, ICT, and Education. In addition to his current working life in academia, he has vast industry experience in the field of engineering and ICT. He helmed various senior positions in the industry and spent a good amount of his time developing a successful ICT start-up in the past.
Dr Gerard Boey received his BS from Campbell University, USA, MSc from Cardiff University, UK and holds an EdD (Educational Technology and Multimedia) from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang.
His current passion is in the field of ICT-Pedagogy Integration for education. He has developed various training programmes for teaching and learning, conduct talks, and workshops. On many occasions, he has trained school teachers, lecturers, postgraduate students, and adult learners on Mind Science for Effective Multimedia Presentation based on Mayer’s Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning to improve their multimedia presentation design skills and delivery.
