Welcome to Easy Sew Academy! I'm Loraine, and sewing has been a lifelong passion that started when I was just 11 years old, working on a hand-crank Singer machine in the early 1970s.
Like many beginners, I made plenty of mistakes — but each one taught me something new and fueled my love for sewing even more. Over the years, that passion turned into a profession. I eventually opened my own sewing studio, where I proudly served over 500 clients, from private individuals and boutique stores to major retailers. My work ranged from simple clothing alterations to custom couture wedding gowns.
With decades of hands-on experience, I discovered a new calling: teaching. That’s why I created Easy Sew Academy — to help aspiring sewists like you learn the art of sewing in a practical, approachable, and enjoyable way. My courses are designed to simplify complex techniques and give you the confidence to create beautiful garments, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your skills.
