Hi Everyone, My name is Deana Karim, The Owner and Founder of Good Dee's Baking Mixes. I started my keto journey in 2015. Diabetes runs in my family and it was my mission to take my health serious and eleminate sugar, lower my carbs and build a sustainable lifestyle. My path on keto has changed over the years but what stays constant is my need for clean, easy to make recipes. You just can't take full control of your health without cooking and baking at home. I'm a mom of 2, a wife, a business owner and these recipes are easy even for the busiest person.
I really hope you enjoy the amount of information I included in this course. I wanted you to have all the materials to start this new way of baking. I include full recipes, video step by step, nutrition facts, net carb breakdown and how to calculate those. I answer common questions about why we use certain flours, what tips and tricks I have learned in my business and I hope you consider us friends after this. I can't wait to bring you more courses.
We will be working with coconut flour and almond flour. I will explain what other flours are great for gluten free baking and why I like the flours I chose. They each have their own requirements in terms of wet to dry ratio. I will uncomplicate the myths about these flours being too hard to work with.
We will be working with four key sweeteners. Erythritol is only 70% as sweet as sugar. You will need one of the other sweeteners to achieve 100% sweetness. I go into detail to explain which two sweeteners work best together and why we are using them in specific recipes. I take all the science out of it and explain it in a way anyone can understand. Sugar free baking does not need to be complicated!
You will see we try to take care of everything from A to Z. In the next lecture, you will have all your downloadable PDF's and guidance on what products are my favorites to work with. I have even linked all your grocery items to Amazon for easy buying. Think of this as meal prepping but for baking!

The last slide of every recipe is the nutrition fact panel for the recipe and the net carb table to show you how to calculate net carbs.
