(Private) Yoga classes with me are all about feeling good & moving well, based on the principles of Natural Movement and Strala Yoga.

We start where you are, and explore what you need to feel better. Reconnecting to your breath and your whole self. Moving everything you've got in every direction you can and feeling good along the way.

You’ll learn to be and move with Ease, how to do more with less. To notice when you are pushing yourself too hard and you need to soften to reconnect to your breath.

It’s not about the yoga poses, it’s about connecting within and finding your EASE.

These longer classes are designed to support you in what you need to feel better:

  • Hang in There Flow - Calming flow to settle excess energy and find peace

  • Gentle Flow - Shoulders & Back - Waking up the whole body with a focus on the upper body

I am Yvonne Loorij and I am passionate about creating a life of ease and authenticity throught yoga, nature & travel. Guiding (private) yoga classes and connecting with people on yoga retreats are my favorite ways to share this passion.

Ease and Selfcare

For me yoga is all about feeling good & moving well, taking good care of yourself and connecting within.

It’s the mindset of EASE – in all you do. Selfcare. Not the superficial kind with bubble baths and scented candles. But really taking care of YOU, every day all day, in everything you do. And it starts with practicing this in small ways. How much effort are you using to open the fridge? Are you using your arm muscles – or are you using your whole body, moving from the center with minimal force?

This is just one tiny example of the holistic approach to movement – and life in general – Strala yoga, yin yoga and East Asian Arts teach us.

About me

I am 53 years old and started doing yoga about 11 years ago. The yoga bug really bit me after I got injured in a skiing accident. While rehabilitating I noticed that yoga was not only a perfect way to restore myself physically, but also to find more balance and calm mentally.

Over time I got more and more curious about yoga. I studied various styles of yoga, personal development & meditation and eventually did several teacher trainings including Strala yoga and Yin yoga. In 2016 I started a Dutch online yoga studio and have been guiding in-person classes since then.

Strala yoga

Strala yoga is a style of yoga that is infused with the ease and movement wisdom of Tai Chi and other Traditional East-Asian healing art forms. This is a fluent style of yoga without end-points or ‘peak’ poses. It teaches you to be soft to be strong. You learn to move from your center with minimum effort. And above all, to use the breath as fuel and guidance for all movement.

Strala yoga teaches you to be YOU, to feel good and move well. Moving everything you can in every direction possible. You make your own yoga this way, there are no ‘rules’. We call ourselves Guides because of this.

Yin yoga

Yin yoga is a more introverted style of yoga. It also uses East-Asian healing wisdom in combination with the yoga form. It’s an ideal counterbalance to the active and Yang way of life in western society.

Yin yoga focuses on the deeper tissues of the body. These tissues are fascia, ligaments and tendons that need more time to respond, but often store a lot of stress. In Yin yoga you soften into specific poses and hold them for 2-6 minutes while breathing deep & full. This way the body opens up and releases the excess tension.

Easyinyoga is my new channel in English. So I can share yoga, travel and anything related to feeling good & moving well with a wider audience. And inspire YOU to find the ease in yoga and in life as well!

In the last few years I enjoyed going on Yoga Retreats a lot. This was another game-changer for me. I met so many wonderful people this way and found beautiful friendships. Truly amazing creative and talented people that all want to feel good and move well, who share their unique gifts with their tribe in their own way.

I loved the experience of travelling with like-minded people so much that I decided to host my own Yoga & Nature Retreats. Can’t wait to meet you on my next adventure!
