This is a short overview of some of the ways you can expect to benefit from taking this course. This course helps you deal with real world issues in real live (everyday) scenarios. We examine how you will be able to see through other people and also how to know yourself better, simply by knowing a little astrology (taught properly).
So why astrology? In this video we stop and think about other possible ways of organizing people into groups, and how astrology is far more reliable—and easier to learn quickly. Also, we briefly look at how you are already manipulated by governments, corporations, and how to take back your power.
Here's where we really get into it. We examine the color wheel and how astrology measures energy using "signs," just as color theory uses "colors" to measure light. We explore the similarities to quickly and easily understand how this all works and how to make it work for you.
Then we disabuse ourselves of the notion that planets "rain down energy on us," and learn how this really works, and how to reframe our awareness of astrology to gain x-ray vision: literally how to see through anyone and any "thing."
Huge lesson (easy, and only twelve minutes). This lesson really gets us into astrology by examining the building blocks of energy—as measured by astrology—and how they work together to create the map of the energy spectrum we call an astrological chart.
In this lesson we examine these topics:
What are signs and how do they work?
How can we more easily understand these (signs) using common sense instead of blindly trusting whatever we read in some magazine or blog?
What are signs made of? And why? And how does that add up?
How do we deconstruct signs to see their component parts?
Here are the new terms explored in this video (and what they men)
Polarities
Qualities
Elements
Masculine / positive polarity, feminine / negative polarity
Cardinal, fixed, and mutable
Fire, earth, air, water
Super easy overview lesson to get us started. Also comes with an in-depth PDF worksheet.
Another meaty lesson: So in the last lesson we explored the microcosm, or the "small wold" of components that make up the basic energy categories we call "signs" in astrology. But each "sign" (or unique flavor of energy in the spectrum) is also shaped by the area of the spectrum in which it lives.
This is like saying that all humans are human, but Europeans are raised in a vastly different culture than Americans, and these cultural differences shape individuals as well as entire groups of people, and even within America or Europe, there are states and provinces, and even countries—and the serve as backdrop themes that shape the overall perspective, so that each person (or "sign" in this case) is unique, and not just a carbon-copy of what came before it.
In this lesson we examine these topics:
What are octaves, hemispheres, and quadrants and how do they work?
How do these work together, and how does each individually contribute to someone's perspective, personality, preferences, and values?
What are some of the other ways we can visualize all of this?
How is each "sign" shaped by its octave and hemisphere?
How can we start reading charts "right now" (in this lesson)?
Here are the new terms explored in this video (and what they men)
Octaves
Hemispheres
Quadrants
Zodiac (term used to describe the signs as a group)
Various names of astrology signs
Also, here is a super-easy highly visual PDF to help make this all make sense instantly.
Short lesson: Why is the sun so important in astrology and where do we look for it in a chart? And what does that tell us anyway? Also, why is the astrological calendar so screwed up? Why can't it just start on the first of every month? Wouldn't that be easier for everyone?
Here are the new terms explored in this video (and what they men)
Ephemeris: It's a book (and now software app) of tables that show you were the planets are in the sky on any given day throughout the year or the century, and in the case of software apps, over several centuries.
Houses (we will examine this more in depth, but they are "just like signs")
The sun is the "most important thing" in any astrology chart you ever glance at. Until you come across a chart where the sun (which is the primary indicator of personality) is on one side of the sky, and all or most of the other planets (e.g. the moon, mars, etc.) are stacked on top of each other somewhere else.
Imagine having one big snowball you can throw at someone, but you are faced by several people with much smaller snowballs, but they are all trying to hit you with their snowball. Maybe if you could get them to conveniently line up, you might be able to knock them over like bowling pins. But you are still facing a flurry of snow!
This is exactly what it is like when your "dominant sign" is not where your sun is! And yes, that actually happens a lot—and that explains a lot of people's quirks.
Also we use Las Vegas as an allegory to make this easier to instantly be able to remember all of this for the rest of your life.
What does each planet mean in your chart?
There are a lot of squiggles, and it can get confusing, so we break it down quickly and simply, so that you can see how all of the ingredients work together. Think of it like a stew. You may like fish or meat in your stew, but some people only want vegetables.
But no matter what kind of stew you like, you are not going to put in the same amount of each ingredient> Water, onions, potatoes, maybe mushrooms, celery, carrots. Whatever you like—after all, it's your stew. But you only need a little bit of salt, and pepper, flour (to thicken it up), or other spices.
In the same way, not all of the planets contribute equally, and every planet represents an aspect of your personality, character, or structure. So, like a stew, you have the big planets 9meat or fish or potatoes, of whatnot) and then you have smaller and less of a serious types of vegetables and spices (or in this case planets and other "data points" in your chart).
Looking at it this way helps transform a chart filled with squiggles into a bucket with a few huge items and several smaller ones, so you can see what takes up the most space (what is most important and what is most obvious—and what "spices things up").
Don't forget the PDF! Lots of useful information on what each planet means in your chart.
So here's where we really explore "houses" in astrology. Houses are just like signs, but they are more like the "effect" than the "cause" (signs). This is a very easy lesson and there is even a unique and extremely useful worksheet that you can print and practice on over and over (with different charts) that makes all of this super easy.
So the most important thing to remember after this lesson is that Houses are areas of life.
Houses are "external to ourselves" (so they are actions and activities, locations, and even events).
Here's how to remember all of this without trying to memorize anything: Houses are exactly like signs, but they are external, so you can look at a house and know what sign "lives there," and then imagine what types off activities that personality type enjoys. Also, the cheat sheets will help you by giving you many of the answers, so that this all becomes second-knowledge too you after trying this out a few times.
In this lesson we look at how an astrological chart shows us all of this in a two-dimensional flat diagram, usually on paper. There is a lot of information stuffed into that diagram we call an astrological chart, so we tease out the various layers of information gently. This makes it easier to see though the various layers and unveil all kinds of hidden information on anyone you meet.
Remember to download the PDF. It is super-helpful and fun to fill in.
This is where astrology gets a little tricky—at least at first. This will probably be the hardest part of an astrology chart to wrap your head around, but we have made it as easy as possible to learn, so you can master all of this quickly and without stress. but this should help:
In this lesson we look at the "four most important lines" in astrology. These are actually the "cardinal points of the compass" (north, east, south, and west). These also mark the beginning of the 1st, 4th, 7th, and 10th houses—but not because of math. It's just that when you divide a circle into twelve parts, that's where north, east, south, and west end up.
These lines are almost as important as planets, and we look at each one of these lines to see why they are important—and what they mean. Fortunately they all come with easy to understand and remember names that quite literally tell you what they mean. We cover all of that in this lesson.
When we start adding "data points" (in this case planets) into a chart or diagram, they end up having relationships with each other. Sometimes that relationship is as simple as "I am over here and you are not!" Other times we have data points (planets and those lines we discussed in the last lesson) that have more intense relationships. This is because they have direct interactions with other objects in our chart.
"Aspects" (new term) are small zones where energy bandwidths harmonize with each other or clash. It's like wearing orange and green to work. Not usually as visually pleasing of a color combination as maybe blue and slightly darker blue, or pink and white. "Aspects" happen at critical points, and the in-between areas are rather boring by comparison. This is what we examine in this lesson to determine how each planet (and other "data points") affect each other in someone's chart.
As each planet means something (your ego, your emotions, your logic process), these various parts of your personality will harmonize or clash. This helps us understand why some people are super-charming and persuasive, while other people are quirky, strange, or even practically invisible in a crowd. Aspects are easy to learn, and extremely important.
The PDF makes all of this easy to visualize and understand at a glance.
Short lesson: This part is easy. We stop for a moment and consider how to decipher any sign instantly just by considering what it is made of and how those parts blend or fight to create "that unique flavor of personality." Most important however is the cheat sheet PDF that shows you what each plant means in each sign—at a glance. There is also an extra sheet that you can fill in with your own ideas as you get some experience.
This is a multi-page written lesson on what each planet means and how it is associated with the sign that shares the same energy—and why all of this works. This is an extra boost to help you really understand this that you can read at your convenience.
Quickie lesson! We take a moment to consider what happens when a sign is not in the normal house it is supposed to live in. As this happens in the vast majority of astrological charts, this is a short but extremely powerful and important lesson. We use Libra (the seventh sign), and the 7th house as examples to help make this easier to understand.
Also, we also show you how to tell how someone will treat you whenever you have to interact directly with them, and even more important, how they are in relationships. This short, powerful lesson can change the world, so please don't let its brevity fool you. Just knowing what is in this lesson can make you more influential than you can imagine—if you simply study and apply this to everyone you meet.
This is a shorter written lesson on what each house means and how it is associated with the sign that shares the same energy—and why all of this works. This is an extra boost to help you really understand this that you can read at your convenience.
Conclusion and also don't forget to download the blank chart PDF to practice with.
This is where the fun begins! So much value here, but we aren't allowed to tell you until you look inside.
Also: remember do download the worksheet.
Short—easy—course
(also fun, I hope!)
Taught exclusively by world-class astrology teacher and #1 bestselling metaphysical textbook author Dusty White, this flash-course focuses (mostly) on "what makes a sign." We've all heard of signs, right? "I'm a Pisces, your's a Virgo . . ."
But what does any of that mean?
This course takes you inside astrology to see how it all works.
Here are some of the things you will learn in less than two hours:
You will learn to see through anyone. yes. You will get x-ray vision from this free course.
You will know what your boyfriend, spouse, boss, and even your customers need or want from you.
You will learn how to protect yourself from manipulation, sales pressure, and intimidation by knowing "you."
You will learn how to get other people to do what you want—the easy way—by knowing what they need to be motivated.
Other interesting things you will learn in the next two hours:
What is a "sign" anyway? Why is it important? And what does it mean to you? What is it made of?
You will learn the "building blocks" of astrology and then you will be able to understand astrology better than most people who have casually glanced through dozens of books "on their signs."
Included in this course are several PDF handouts for your practice sessions and worksheets to help you analyze anyone's character and personality. These are all personally designed by expert astrologers who use these in their own practice. These will help everything make sense quickly and easily.
