Open Dynamo from Revit and explore the general interface, project creation, and core concepts like nodes, input/output, and packages. Learn starting workflows, graph view navigation, and saving your work.
Explore function types in Dynamo: create color values from RGB inputs, connect elements with input values, and use code blocks to cast numbers and build variables and strings.
Explore the Dynamo general work process by wiring inputs through functions to produce outputs and derive values from geometric elements using color components and strings.
Explore how to create and manage lists in BIM Dynamo for Revit using list creation, range, and sequence functions to generate numbered elements, while keeping workflows clean and grouped.
Explore functions over lists in BIM Dynamo for Revit, mastering list manipulation, masking, flatten and transpose operations, indexing, and filtering to drive geometric creation.
Prioritize learning the functions you need with a clear purpose, focusing on common basic tools to create and improve elements in BIM Dynamo Analysis Autodesk Revit.
Explore string manipulation in Dynamo, using input strings and variables, applying functions to change case, count occurrences, index, ends with, and split, remove, replace, and concatenate across lists.
Explore how to use Dynamo to select and retrieve element data from a Revit model by level, category, family type, and type, including walls, views, and element IDs.
This Lesson has all the Materials for Next Classes
Color by distance to an element using dynamo: retrieve element geometry and selection, obtain distances, flatten results, remap values, and map colors from red to blue.
Learn to create filters in Dynamo for Revit by building rules, selecting parameters, and applying graphics overrides to the active view.
Export to Excel with Dynamo to extract parameter values from Revit elements, organize unique values, and write them to an Excel workbook for analysis.
Learn to sort and group structural framing elements in Revit using Dynamo by type and XY position, access element geometry midpoints, and set parameter values to place marks accordingly.
From the Structural File get a Selection of all Structural Framings and Create a Parameter Called "Type Length" in which will set the value of string(Number of Type )+"Type" + String(CutLength) Rounded 2 Decimal Places with Underscores and also change visibility graphics fo 3d elements from Blue to Yellow from the shortest to the longest.

This course it’s designed for teaching you how analyze Autodesk Revit 2018 Models on Dynamo and change, review and Visualize the results back again on Revit.
BIM it’s on a deep expansion for the AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) Industry so each time more and more projects are developed over this methodology changing the quality standards for construction and design.
A Revit Model can be a Black Box of information with thousands of elements and different ways to model things we can’t be certain that information its accurate unless we can review it.
As far as Revit can go we can create schedules, review filters, and have a protocol for almost all the process, but that can left the development to the good will of modelers.
With Dynamo we can create filters, parameters, visualize information, create views, and parameters to get this tasks automated, using the Dynamo Player all those processes can be repeated and properly measured.
The course is divided in 3 Parts, Basics of Dynamo, Selection and Management.
This course goes from scratch showing most common functions, allowing you to learn by necessity, so It won´t review all tools just the basic ones so you can start running on dynamo and learning by practice
Its not a Dynamo Course since it will not cover all tools and processes but certainly it would teach you how to manage information and analyze it.
It complements with the BIM Dynamo Geometry Modeling, both courses are created independently.
The course has 2 review exercises directly involved with dynamo script creation, as well as I recommend you to recreate the lessons in dynamo.
The materials include the scripts saw on the course plus the Custom Nodes created specifically for it.
