In this course I will show you the basics of Pencil strokes, pencil pressure, and how to layer your pencils to create more realistic work. In the first section I will show you how the different pressures with the pencil strokes makes a difference in how you apply the pencil. Then we will slowly build up color starting with one color then up to four colors and you will clearly see it goes from very flat to three dimensional. For our Project we will be creating realistic cherries.
Pencil Strokes: In this lesson I will show you how to create smooth transitions with your pencil while adjusting the pressures your using along the way.
Layering One and Two Colors: First we will start with just one color, then add another color so you can start to see the change in form and shape.
Layering Three and Four Colors: By adding a third and fourth color to the spheres, you will learn how to create a three dimensional sphere just by layering the pencils properly
Cherry Base Layers: In this section, you will learn how to use light pressure to start building the under painting of the cherries
Building Saturation: It is important to use what you have learned with the pencil pressures when building your layers. I will show you how to gradually increase that pressure without losing the tooth of the paper.
Final Detail To Create Realistic Cherries: In this section I will show you how to highlight and create more shadows to the cherries. This is also where we increase our pressures to finalize the drawing.
