Description

This course will be covering my doctoral capstone project of the creation of ergonomic educational material for Drake University faculty and will also cover the creation of clinical simulation education material for the Drake University Occupational Therapy Department. I am an occupational therapy doctoral candidate at Drake University. To complete my doctorate degree of occupational therapy, I chose to work in the area of office and work ergonomics along with academia. I am passionate about the area of ergonomics and creating the ideal fit between the individual and their workplace environment. I am also passionate about the occupational therapy education and academia. During the course, you go over the evidence-based approach, models, and themes which influenced the creation of this doctoral capstone project. The course will also highlight the specific learning objectives, learning activities and artifacts relevant to the doctoral capstone project. The course will specifically highlight the materials created related to occupational therapy and office ergonomics. The course will also highlight the process of creating and implementing a clinical simulation experience in occupational therapy curriculum. This project was completed within the fourteen weeks at Drake University work with the Human Resources Department along with Drake Occupational Therapy Department.
