If you have enrolled in " Exploring Islam and Muslims," you will love the "Dispelling Myth and Misconception".  Although the course is about demystifying Muslim culture and addressing socioeconomic factors interacting with Islam. Distinguishing between cultural and religious practices has broad general implications on social issues such as ethnic, and language diversity. The course addresses assimilation, discrimination, multiculturalism, challenges of immigrants, and integration in society. Besides these concepts, you will learn about misconceptions regarding jihad, women's rights, and freedom of religion.

This course applies to all those who are living in a dominant culture and want to know what the issues of assimilation and cultural pluralism for intergroup relations. Diversity is often seen as a source of strength, but at the same time, it can be a source of conflict due to the inevitable challenges of pluralism: the ever-growing conflicts between religious, national, and ethnic groups and the growing oppression and injustice towards individuals by the dominant group.
