DISCLAIMER: The pathogenesis of each person's condition is unique, and so the recommendations must be unique to the individual and the unique root causes of the condition in your body. The course here is for general knowledge and learning. It is not meant to replace the need for any specific recommendations for your specific health issue. The best way to do this is with a one on one consultation with your Ayurveda or other health practitioner. We do provide Ayurvedic consultations - on skype or face to face.

There are two sheets for you to download.
To help determine your prakruti or constitution, we’ve provided a brief questionnaire below. We recommend printing out the questionnaire and circling the answers with a pen. For each characteristic listed, circle the dosha that most closely indicates how much it applies to you, depending on what you think you fall under. Then, add up the numbers to get a total score for each dosha – Vata, Pitta or Kapha.
We recommend first answering the questions in accordance with general trends throughout your life. Many of us will have one Dosha that is most predominant, a few will have two Doshas approximately equal and even fewer will have all three Doshas in almost equal proportion.
For physical characteristics, it will be probably easier to mark.
For mental, behavioural, emotional characteristics, there is typically more subjectivity. You just answer how you have felt most of your life.
Get a grand total for Vata (V), Pitta (P), and Kapha (K) by adding the two totals from the two lists. This is your score for V , P & K.
Remember this is not about mathematical precision, but looking at the tendencies. Also remember you are probably doing this for the first time so some of the characteristics may seem to be in more than one dosha. Just do the best you can. A simple questionnaire will not always capture the full dynamism of the doshas. For this reason, we also recommend you can consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner at some stage, if you wish to find out more.
Tip: We do offer skype and face to face consults to help with this for a fee if you need further help!
