Alteryx became very popular for 2 reasons. The first is because it is solving the no1 issue that data analysts are facing. Did you know that the data analysts spend 80% of their time to cleanse and prepare the data from different sources and then spend 20% on actual analysis and insights preparation? This is a big proportion of their time. Alteryx is changing this process by giving this time back to the analysts and handling the complex data gathering and cleaning processes. In this way, analysts can focus on analysis and insights preparation.

The second reason is because is breaking the data science barrier. Before Alteryx, Business professionals were completing processes that Alteryx is managing in Excel. The more complex processes though were left to Data scientists and Data engineers. Now Alteryx is democratizing the Data science profession by automating and simplifying the data analysis and cleaning processes. Alteryx is using a drag and drop interface to analyze and transform data which is very intuitive to all of us.

In this course, I will show you the shortcut to learning Alteryx. What I observed from the people trying to learn Alteryx was that everybody could easily learn the basic tool's functionalities but all of them had challenges when it was time to solve a real-life business problem. This course is different from the others as you learn the basic pillars of understanding Alteryx and trust me if you build on that you will have a strong foundation to solve any problem that will be given. This is the first part. The second part is about connecting to SAP Hana and query the database. I believe that no course on Alteryx is complete without learning how to query a database. Big data nowadays is stored in databases and for sure you will need to connect to them at your work.
