Description

This course is a complete and simple introduction to Digital Control Systems for engineering students.

We will start with the basics of Z-Transform and how to find its inverse using four different methods (Direct, partial fraction expansion ,computational method, inversion integral). You’ll learn how to build the Pulse Transfer Function of systems, and how to realize them in different structures (direct, series, standard, and parallel).

We will also cover how to test the stability of digital systems using Jury’s method and the bilinear transformation.

Next, we will analyze steady-state error, and move on to controller design. You will learn how to:

  • Design a continuous-time controller and implement it digitally

  • Use methods like backward difference, zero-pole matching, and bilinear (Tustin)

  • Design digital controllers directly from system specifications.

  • Build a deadbeat controller for fast response

We will apply all these concepts using MATLAB and Simulink so you can see real examples and practice what you learn.

This course is ideal for engineering students who have some background in classical control systems and want to expand their skills into the digital control world with confidence and clarity.

Enroll now and take your control system skills to the next level with confidence and hands-on practice!
