In this session you practice the same shell navigation on-call engineers use when a build lands in the wrong place. You work through a short incident story: a release bundle was deployed to an unexpected path while the service still points at an old binary or directory. From your home directory you confirm where you are, surface hidden files, move to the filesystem root, map standard locations (/opt, /srv, /etc, /var), and relate configuration under /etc to runtime evidence under /var. You use real commands—ls, pwd, ls -la, cd (including /, ~, .., and absolute paths to /etc)—in a guided terminal. The lab ends with a recap of every command and short notes, consistent with the other hands-on challenges in the course.
