Description
Did you know that the new digital SAT has the powerful Desmos calculator built in? Desmos not only makes it easy to do quick calculations; it also seamlessly graphs any equation, providing valuable visuals that let you solve problems in almost no time at all. Don't miss the opportunity to make the most of this amazingly powerful tool.
In this course, students will learn how to optimally use the Desmos calculator to solve some of the most common SAT Math question types:
- Solving systems of equations
- Finding the solutions to quadratic equations (in about five seconds and without using the quadratic formula)
- Identifying equivalent expressions
- Finding the equation from a table of x and y values
- Statistics: finding the mean and median of a data set
- Identifying the maximum or minimum point of a quadratic equation
This course has converted even the most hesitant students to Desmos fans by demonstrating just how easy it is to use. After watching a few problems of each type, students will get the chance to practice what they learned by completing the mini quiz questions. By practicing the techniques, students learn more effectively and will be able to apply what they learned to the SAT.
Who this course is for:
