Introduction to the course. Here we talk about why design is important and some of the things you will learn throughout the course.
Contrast is one of the core design principles and one of the most important principles when designing t-shirts.
Repetition helps tie elements of a design together and you can often create visual interest by breaking a patter in your design.
Alignment isn't used as much in shirt design as it is in other disciplines but can still come in handy from time to time.
How close objects in your design are to each other effects how people see them in importance.
We take these design principles and apply them to a t-shirt design.
Working with illustrations can be tough but our design principles are still in play and in this section we walk through how they apply even to illustrations.
Fonts might be the most important part of designing t-shirts. In this section you're going to learn the basics of typography.
There is a lot of choices when it comes to design software. Picking which is right for you can be a little tricky. In this section I'll go over some of the options out there and their strengths and weaknesses.
Where do designers find the fonts and illustrations they use in their work? Also how can you avoid licensing issues in your shirts?
Hiring a designer can be a great way to create more shirts faster but there are some pitfalls and things that you should be aware of.
