Description

This Designated Safeguarding Lead Children course raises awareness of national guidance and legislation around child safeguarding, responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Lead and the key areas of success within the role.

The course covers what safeguarding and child protection are, key guidance and legislation, safer recruitment procedures, the role and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing allegations against staff, record keeping, support and more.

By the end of the training you will be able to...

  • Describe the role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead and list the key areas of responsibility
