- Figma tool
- Design basics
Requirements
- No requirements, just curiosity and a computer to work on
Description
Figma is the designer's Swiss Army Knife. And like the Swiss Army Knife, it can be daunting for new users to approach for the first time.
I want to share with you my love for this tool and simplify its use for new designers, business users and other users like developers.
I will take you through everything from sign-up to handover, and you will get hands-on experience in the tool. You will learn basics like navigation and placing objects, to more intermediate levels for object manipulation and leveraging the power of Figma frames.
As of January 2021, there are also new features in Figma that we'll discuss. The Figma community, Auto-Layout and Component instances to name a few. You will get a good overview of these and the promise of updates to the course as new features become relevant.
Most importantly you will learn how to approach Figma like a designer. The included case study will allow you to practice your new skills. And I have shared my own attempt at the same case study, providing helpful tips and tricks for designing, prototyping and presenting your design files to business stakeholders.
What are you waiting for?
