What you'll learn

  • In this course the engineers will learn how to use the technical software with required codes to achieve the optimal and safer design to the high rise buildings .
  • To be structural designer

Course content

1 section6 lectures2h 15m total length
  • Introduction32:32

On This Course you will know how could you choose the correct structural system to use it in your structure and the appropriate software with accurate checking of the element design.

Just You need to follow up my course until  which will be ( Three Levels ), starts from bases to choose the right structural system to finish you design in a safety way

Our first lecture will talk about Structural Forms like:

    1. Braced-Frame Structures

    2. Rigid-Frame Structures

    3. Infilled-Frame Structures

    4. Flat-Plate and Flat-Slab Structures

    5. Shear Wall Structures

    6. Wall-Frame Structures

    7. Framed-Tube Structures Outrigger-Braced Structures

    8. Suspended Structures Core Structures

    9. Core Structures

    10. Space Structures

    11. Hybrid Structures

  • Lecture 1-Part 216:55

This is the a second part of lecture 1. We will continue illustrating the Floor Systems ( Concrete & Steel ) Like :

    1. One-Way Slabs on Beams or Walls

    2. One-Way Pan Joists and Beams

    3. One-Way Slab on Beams and Girders

    4. Two-Way Flat Slab

    5. Waffle Flat Slabs

    6. Two-Way Slab and Beam

    7. One-Way Beam System

    8. Two-Way Beam System

    9. Three-Way Beam System

    10. Composite Steel-Concrete Floor Systems

  • Lecture 213:37

On this lecture we will talk about the most usable design codes in structural designing plus the most used software in structural designing like :

    1. ETABS

    2. SAFE

  • Use you own structural floor system.
  • Lecture 346:30

On this lecture will we learn about one of the most popular structural software in designing the high rise buildings which is ( ETABS ). In this part we will know some of modeling techniques to create the most accurate modeling to the correct values

  • Which structural system I have used in this lecture ?
  • Lecture 420:49

On this lecture will we learn about one of the most popular structural software in designing the slabs and foundations which is ( SAFE ). In this part we will know some of modeling techniques to create the most accurate modeling to the correct values

  • Lecture 55:29

The last lecture will be an introduction for the next levels which will be :

    Level ( 2 )

    1. I will explain how could we do the appropriate analysis Using ETABS & SAFE .

    2. Checking with appropriate codes with the minimums requirements for the safety of the tower .

    Level ( 3 )

    1. I will explain the types of foundation and how could we model it.

    2. Design the elements and checking after design , if it will be safe or not based on the appropriate codes .

Requirements

  • Not mandatory but preferable a Previous knowledge of ( ETABS&SAFE ) software and ACI & ASCE & UBC codes .
  • ETABS & SAFE

Description

In this level you will learn how to choose the correct structural system from a lot of structural forms, floors systems with collaboration with design software modeling techniques and designed codes .

This level is an introductory level, so if the student would like to continue the full course contents, they should follow all of course levels which are 3 levels .

At the end you will have the required information to start designing your first tower or skyscraper building with the acceptable values from designed codes .

Who this course is for:

  • The course for the structural engineers who are aiming to be a designers.
  • Beginner & Experienced
